Good price, works well in one bedroom apartment. It was easy to connect to Cox system. I have had it for several months and it has worked very well. It has been very reliable. I would buy it again and I would recommend it to a friend. The people at Best Buy were helpful and honestly answered all my questions. They did not try to steer me towards the most expensive option.

    Excellent modem/router for my apartment

I moved into a small, one bedroom apartment (940 sq. ft.) and needed a new modem & router. I purchased this all in one unit and everything has been seamless. Initial hookup was a breeze, performance has been strong and steady, and it takes up little counter space because of its design. I am using it with Time Warner internet service (50mps). The unit is sitting behind my Samsung 65" curved 4K TV (7500) and hard wired to the TV. My other TV, iMac, MacBook Pro, iPad and phone are all connected via WIFI. Both the wired and non-wired performance has been very good. However, I cannot speak to the long term performance as I have only had this unit for 1+ months. And, I cannot speak to the performance with multiple users at one time, as I am a single guy - not a family of multiple users connected at the time. I don't expect performance to diminish, so, I would recommend this to anyone in a similar situation. Lastly, and this may seem trivial, but the password Netgear assigns to the unit is a creative and memorable one - they supply passwords like "Bumpyfrog296." Unlike my previous password attached to my ATT supplied router from U-Verse that was a mixture of numbers, symbols and letters that is not easily remembered.

Love this modem. Has better range than the modem provided by the cable company and much less glitchy. Smooth performance and great speeds, should have bought my own cable modem years ago instead of renting the cable company's piece of junk! Thanks for price matching, Best Buy, great modem at great price!

Bought to replace a failing router. Added bonus that it also replaced my cable modem saving me $5 per month off my cable bill. Set up was easy. Works much better then my old route. Now I have uninterrupted WiFi throughout my entire 3 floor, 3000 sq ft house.

I got this modem because the speed and consistency were highly rated - and they really are. The 5G is extremely fast and performs as you would expect it to do. I highly recommend this modem but if you're interested in robust parental controls, read carefully. I'm accustomed to using my old LInksys E1000 wireless router, which allowed me to turn off wi-fi to specific MAC address at designated times, and could even adjust the time based on the day of week, e.g., turn it off at 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and 9 the rest of the week. It was perfect for me needs - I was able to specifically target the little one's devices. Here the parental controls are handled not through Netgear, but through a 3rd party - OpenDNS, but is accessed through Netgear's app. You need a main account where you set time constraints and what type of websites you will allow and block. And then you have to set-up a bypass account from within the main account so you can bypass all the kiddie restrictions. And this next step is extremely important: when you setup a password: PAY CAREFUL ATTENTION - YOUR PASSWORD: must be at least 8 characters long. must contain at least 1 upper case letter. must contain at least 1 lower case letter. must contain at least 1 number. must contain at least 1 special character. must NOT contain the user's username or a portion of a users username between the @ and . Interestingly, if you sign up for OpenDNS from within Netgear, these requirements are not enforced, but when you try to access the bypass account you will fail every time. It took me weeks to figure this out and it only clicked when I saw the password requirements. It did, however, leave me wondering why Netgear didn't enforce the password standards when setting up the OpenDNS account - so just be aware. I'm hoping Netgear will fix this bug. It's otherwise a great product, but I admit I would prefer a tool to shut down the entire wifi to specific mac addresses during certain times.

    Great Combo Device

Spent a lot of time researching this device and was debating on saving money with a two in one device since I just have a small one bedroom apartment, or buying a really good router and modem separate. I am glad that I went with the first option. Not only did it save me money, but the router has excellent range out to my patio. It has gigabit Ethernet ports which are nice, and helps keep my Xbox updates quick. The router was very easy to setup, and the online admin is very easy to monitor, and find settings. It was also cheaper to buy the combo device than buying the N600 router with a comparable modem. Plus the best buy warranty is only $20 for it so even if it does malfunciton within the year I can just go straight back and replace it. Since TP-link doesn't have a combo device, this was the next best option. Moto's combo seemed to have higher failure rates, and this router was rated PC mags best router/modem combo. Overall, so far I am very pleased with the purchase and it has not dropped any connections, or slowed down one bit.

    NETGEAR - N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router

The N600 Dual Band Gigabit WiFi Router delivers high-performance wireless speeds of up to 300Mbps and is the ideal router for medium to large homes. It delivers speed and reliability need for HD streaming, online gaming and a secure, reliable connection to the Internet. This router is fast, easy to set-up and smartly engineered. Although this is a high-end feature-rich consumer router, out of the box, I had this running from last one month. Using the simple color-coded 1-2-3 step setup process, an expert, or a novice, can have this router up and running very quickly.

Compatible with Cox internet, easy to self-install with enclosed step by step directions. Best pricing available when compared to other online retailers. Ordered online with convenient store pickup. Had previously purchased (then returned) an Asis modem which was not only an awkward shape, but lit up the room like a disco dance party; this unit is sllim, eliminates the need for two different pieces of equipment, and the lighting is non- obtrusive. Very happy with this cable modem router combination!!!

This dual band modem router is easy to use. Comes with a preset password for extra quick set up. For a dual band, the range is OK. Worth it for the price, works in a 1700 sq ft 2 story home.

I swapped my xfinity modem router that was provided by Comcast xfinity that they were charging me $10/month for in for this netgear modem router and am pleased with the change. I have access to the 5ghz network as well as a more reliable connection. The xfinity modem I was always resetting every few days. This one in the month I've owned it I have not needed to reset it. It's super easy to set up. Go to routerlogin.net and it will guide you through everything. Range is exceptional. I use it for my 900sq ft apartment and it works throughout without any issues. I can actually get my WiFi signal when I'm outside my apartment in my car as well. Definitely recommend. It's worth the money!

The product is good and working fine so far. Its strengths lie in its ease of use, security and the various options that give the user complete administrative control over features, thus allowing them tweak settings to their own personal tastes. It’s high quality of service especially in the Wi-Fi performance, Band and Range ensures that it would be highly sought by gamers for streaming and on-line play. The price is satisfactory especially when one considers the features offered. This router would stay out of the junkyard for a long time.

I am paying for very fast internet speeds with Cox (around 150mbps or so), and was having tremendous trouble with my old router. It was probably 4-5+ years old and was starting to cause lots of issues with video buffering while trying to stream Netflix, etc, causing glitchy gameplay on my xbox one and finally it was causing slow web browsing, which affected my work. So after doing some research online, I felt this router was best for my budget and for my needs. I live in a smaller place (under 1,000 sq ft) so I felt this was perfect- and I was right! Now I get to enjoy blazing fast internet with no issues so far! My gaming is finally glitch/lag free, my video streams without buffering issues, and my web browsing is very fast. I love that it is dual band because I save the faster 5G network for gaming and video streaming, while connecting everything else to the other one. This is especially important because I have a roommate and between the 2 of us, we have a LOT of connected devices!! I'm talking an apple tv, chromestick, xbox one, ipad pro, apple watch, wireless printer, macbook pro, her laptop, my ipod, and possibly more. It handles all of that flawlessly. So far, I am very impressed and a happy customer! :)

Pretty reliable router/modem combination. Was extremely easy to set up and get running. Changing passwords and network names were simple. Works silently by itself without any trouble. So far (about a month of use) haven't had any issues or needed to reset or unplug it. It was a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a router/modem combination.

Worked better than expected and best of All no more having to "rent" a modem from my cable company. After a year this will pay for itself. That's a bonus in itself. Easy setup, easy to tweak settings. At any given time there are two smart phones, two tables, a wii, Xbox and playstation running on the network with no or minimal lag.
