This device made no noticeable difference in extending our WiFi. The NightHawk app’s speed test works occasionally.

Works Great For My NVR

I got this for my NVR system. As it requires a ethernet connection and this comes with four of them. I was able to put in my garage and get everything to work without any fuss at all.
SETUP:
Is very easy and straight forward. You simply plug in the device, download the associated app, and then it walks you through the rest. It took about 5 minutes. Then I plugged in the ethernet cord to my NVR and I was up and running.
PERFORMANCE:
I usually get about 350 mbps down and 30 mbps up with my normal wifi but with this I was getting around 200 - 250 mbps and 30 mbps down. Which is acceptable seeing how far away it is from my hub. It also provides a large area of additional coverage. I now get a full signal all the way across the street into the park near my place. I haven't had any issues with it not working or going out. Boot up time is relatively quick.
CONCLUSION:
This device is easy to setup, works well, and I haven't had any issues with it. Making it an easy recommendation if it suits your needs. For me this was perfect.

Our home is in a rural area with poor cellular reception and no internet service other than satellite that is very poor at best. We installed a cellular booster that did give us reliable and much faster cellphone service. 4 bars;of 5g inside, still dead areas outside. We bought a Netgear MR 1100 Nighthawk that is fantastic but I wanted stronger coverage inside our 1700 ft house and outside as well. I bought the Netgear wifi 6 Mesh Extender and it is AWESOME! It not only extended our coverage in the home but also distances from 80-90 ft outside! We have a dedicated data only line from T-Mobile 100GB that is very affordable. I've read that range extenders do not boost signal strength. This may be but my average download speed has went from a highly variable 18 mb/s to a steady 46 mb/s. Maybe not game playing speeds but fast enough to stream movies, zoom meetings for my work at home wife and great voice communication. The Netgear products Just Work! Oh, btw I'm not tech savy so had to call for assistance to set up both my Netgear devices. They were very patient and walked me through every step. Great products and excellent service!

This extender allowed me to move our 5G cellular gateway to an upstairs location with a better signal and still get a strong wifi signal downstairs. That improved download speeds throughout the house by a surprising amount!
Initial setup using the Nighthawk app was not difficult.
But when the cellular gateway rebooted and decided to use 5Ghz wifi channel 100 DFS, the extender could not see that channel at all. Had to force the gateway to use a fixed 5Ghz wifi channel that the extender could see. All was good after that.
I had no idea that could happen when I bought the extender so that was a frustrating failure at the time.

We upgraded our internet service and needed a router to keep up. We are supposed to be getting 400Mbps but old router only getting up to 120Mbps on iPhone 12 when standing right next to the router! We got the RAX120 and it can easily get in the 350-380Mbps range. with this EAX20 extender we can get up to 60Mbps way out beyond the yard into the far side of our detached garage (through brick walls). Setting up and integrating the EAX20 was super simple and fast with the Nighthawk app. Good value overall for this system.

This unit replaced an old extender that was continuously having outages and speed issues. This extender has been rock solid. Great speed, solid coverage, and an easy to use interface. Very happy with it.

We had an Orbi and it started to drop connection so decided to add to our NETGEAR Nighthawk with two of the mesh range extenders to cover the whole house. They were very simple to install and since adding them, we have had no coverage issues and really no buffering when streaming. They have been a great addition to our network.

I was desperate for a new WiFi extender. I did a Google search and stumbled across NetGear's WiFi 6 Mesh Range Extender. I am so glad I took the leap and made this purchase; I could not be happier. The extender has a relatively easy setup and allows me to have stable internet in ALL areas of my home. My once blurry, slow internet in my bathroom is now clear and fast. I am so pleased and satisfied! My only con is that I never know what device is connected to the WiFi extender. I wish NETGEAR gave customers the option/ability to name the devices using the extender. Otherwise, highly recommend!

Excellent extender that was intuitive and super easy to set up and use. The app does all of the hard work for you and the additional ethernet ports let me hardwire my computer into the extender and take advantage of the blazing fast speed. The only downside is that it is a bit pricey, but totally worth it if you have the expendable cash and want something quick and easy to get started with.

I got this to boost signal to outdoor cameras and the performance is extremely impressive. Very easy to set up, especially if you already have the nighthawk app for your router. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because the cost is very high compared to some alternatives. If you want the best, this is it.

I wanted to install WiFi in an outbuilding that was 400' from the house. I couldn't find a suitable wireless solution, so I turned to a wired solution (underground Ethernet cable). I ordered a set of Google Mesh Network devices. I was disappointed in them because the extenders didn't have an Ethernet port on them. I returned them. (My friends older version of the same device did!) I turned to Netgear and purchased this four-port Netgear range extender. It worked from the moment I plugged it in and plugged the Ethernet cable in to it. I'm running three security cameras, a Google Mini and also using it to make Google Duo video calls. I'm pleased with the performance. I think it is a little pricey. I might have gotten by with something less expensive, but didn't want to take the chance and force me to make yet another trip into town. I marked the value down one star because I think they should be priced lower.

This extender was a great choice. It was very simple to set up and only took a few minutes. It was not rocket science, just a few simple steps and it did the rest by itself. My old extender was old and was not dual band. I have a 3600 square foot one story home and my router is on one end of the home and I placed the Netgear WiFi 6 Mesh Extender in the middle of my home. It covers the rest of my home as well as my sunroom, where we spend a lot of time, and most of my back yard. I am very impressed with this extender to say the least. I pondered over several weeks to purchase a new extender. My decision of purchasing this extender over several different brands, including Linksys that I had been very loyal to in the past was not easy, but I am glad I chose this Netgear Extender over the competition. I have a lot of different devices connected to this extender, like TV's, desktop computers, laptops, ipad, cell phones, several echo dots and guest that visit and never dropped a connection or diminished connection speed or strength. I highly recommend this extender.

It was tough to get it to connect to our internet, but other than that it has worked as good as I could hope. WiFi is now extended to the rooms in the house that previously had weak connection and now the connection is strong everywhere. It also did not slow down the overall speed of the WiFi which I read some extenders do.

Nighthawk Extender/Access Point

I would like to start my review for this Netgear extender/access point wifi device by saying that I think I finally found something that is at the beginning stages of what could be considered a partial replacement to those wifi mesh networks that cost anywhere between $200.00 and $400.00 at Best Buy or some other retailers. Both online and at the brick and mortar retail stores. I was able to get this device to work as an access point by connecting a 100ft. ethernet cable between my existing Arris modem/router that I also bought at the Best Buy store in Famers Branch, TX in 2019 and this Netgear extender/access point and extending the 5Gz wifi band coming from the Arris modem/router and somehow combining the strength of both the 2.4 Gz band and the 5Gz wifi bands also coming from the Arris modem router into what seems like one single wifi band for the entire house and it finally looks like I might have finally stumbled upon a solution for my issues with poor wifi signal for our in home wifi network. I don't know if this will work for other people who usually go to Best Buy looking for some type of device or devices that will help solve their nightmarish issues with their in home wifi networks.

I use ATT Internet. So I have ATT WIFI. The main router is at one end of the house. They say that coverage is 25 ft or 2 walls which ever comes first. I bought the WIFI extender from ATT, model air 4920. It worked added about another third of the house. Coverage for air extender is advertised as 600 sq ft. Enter the Netgear EAX20. The equipment is good. Says will cover 1800 sq ft. it does. TV in back bedroom went from 30% signal to 60%-100% signal. Back bedroom is about 50 feet from extender and three wall. Your mileage may differ.
Four stars is because of manufacturers support. If you open a ticket on line they don't reply on line they call and mumble in the phone say call back but don't leave a number to call. They mumble the ticket number. I have not been able to register the product with them. I this does bad I'm going to trash it and find another manufacturer to buy from.
Conclusion: Good product does what it says it will. Manufacturers support pulls a hard vacuum.

This range extender expanded the range of my WiFi network from my home to a detached garage at the back of my property, a distance of approximately 100 ft. Signal strength is good with the extender - it was non-existent without it. I would highly recommend this reasonably priced range extender.

Works Great. Tried my WiFi providers extender that was said to be compatible with their router wirelessly. Later told it had to be hard wired to the router to work upstairs. I purchased the Netgear extender for half the price of the providers, and it works great and was very easy to set up. Great signal strength upstairs and NO wires neede.

I am a Best Buy employee, so I know a lot about what is on the market when it comes to things like this, and let me tell you, these things do work. It allowed me to make my connection faster and with a stronger connection! My pc is upstairs and the router is downstairs, and with the extender, I get speeds that are nearly as fast as if I was hard-wired into the router itself. I’d say thats a solid improvement. I had trouble getting the app to work at first, but nothing that was too frustrating. Wifi 6 is great and definitely worth the upgrade if you also have a wifi 6 router. The speeds are much faster than wifi 5, assuming your internet provider and plan support the increased bandwidth.
