The extender works great to extend my dual band signals from the wirless router. The up time has been great too, no failures /downtime since the initial set up. Range and data rates are good while using multiple clients (computers) The USB memory also works quite well. However the initial set up was very tricky and not intuitive and not for a beginner (or they will achieve only partial performance of what this is capable of) The reasons for this are two fold : Firstly short set up instructions are poorly written and ambigous with respect to selecting operating modes and channels. Secondly ,the extender/repeater has many operating options which provide great flexibility in how different WiFi channels and bandwidth are used. So if you know what you are doing it is very powerful to maximize data rates range and avoid interference. However if you do not know the idiosyncrasies quick set up can be very frustrating. Either read the full product operating .pdf or have and experienced network guy set it up using the browser interface. It will be worth it especially if you want to maximize range and performance.

It was easy to set up and install, for a novice like me. It is as advertised. It extended and strengthened the signal.

I researched range extenders for days before deciding on the nighthawk. My only issue with this product is the price, otherwise it works wonderfully and has vastly improved our signal in our 3 story home. I think this is worth every penny spent!

The set-up was quick and easy. The thinks that I didn't know before I brought this was: The extender use the same password as the main router. If you are closer to the extender than the main router you have to switch manually to the extender Wi-Fi to have a better signal because is not automatic. I just want to put this out-there just in case you are a Wi-Fi Range Extender First Time Buyer like me.

My house is so old the wifi does not work well throughout so I purchased this to add another wifi hotspot in my house. I previously ran an ethernet line to all the bedrooms so I wanted it to connect to the main router through ethernet and did not want the hassle of having to set it up and screwing something up. I plugged it into the bedroom ethernet. IT was SUPER easy to connect and add a wifi extender via ethernet. It works amazing. As a matter of fact, I just built a shop and moved it out into the shop connected via ethernet I ran out there, and now I have powerful wifi in my shop. I will buy another to put in my smaller shop also. This Netgear is just too easy to use. Would recommend it to anyone that needs extended wifi whether connected to an ethernet or wifi, its amazing and works great! I have had this Netgear for over a year and its rocking right along like it is new! Great job Netgear!

Easy to setup. Long range wifi. Works well with Comcast internet Blast speed. I am using this as an access point.

We purchased this due to poor placement of our wireless router. We can't move our router since there is only one phone jack in the home so it is at the far end of the house on the middle floor. The 5G signal gets very weak one floor below, especially as you approach the opposite end of the home. We placed the extender one floor below and voila. All devices pick up full bars at the opposite end of the house now and reach full speed. Certainly made a difference as the basement is the preferred television viewing location

This is so easy to set up and it works great I use it to connect my wifii doorbell which requires a robust signal. Works awesome

Wow! I've had issues with other extenders not getting the range to my small guest cottage at our driveway. This unit pushed the extended range way beyond my expectations and provided a strong signal to150 feet from main gateway. Set up was fairly straight forward and signal is consistent throughout the house and surrounding area. Very satisfied.

The Nighthawk AC1900 was easy to setup and has great range. I can receive its signal much further than the previous extender it replaced.

Based on the advise of a Best Buy clerk, I bought this Netgear extender for my old rambling house with super thick lath & plaster walls. Previously, our wireless signal was weak in certain corners of the 2nd floor. Worse yet, it was sporadic and unpredictable. This was a snap to install (and I'm 63 years old) and has worked perfectly since the day I installed it. Wireless goes everywhere now with plenty of signal strength.

Very easy to setup and worked flawlessly. Major boost in range. Especially needed it for 5G

No negatives to report as of yet. Extends my wireless network to the rest of my house to get full coverage everywhere at high speeds. I also love the feature of being able plug other electronics directly to it in my office to get internet access if I needed to. I like the user interface on the website; easy to use and understand. Very satisfied.

for a family relative, needed this device to boost signal from their landlord's router that did not broadcast across entire rental apartment. with this device, extender signal picked up landlord router signal clearly, and broadcast its own strong signal across entire apartment. followed directions for setup and everything worked first time. i set up the device to use and pass through original landlord router password, so if they ever change it, the new password setting will pass cleanly through this device. This device was more expensive than other devices, but the strong reception power and its own strong broadcast power were worthwhile features that i needed. also, since this device has a separate lightweight ac adapter, the device itself does not need to be positioned at the outlet. for seriously weak reception problems like i am describing here, this device is a must have and i highly recommend. this device only requires the original router wifi name and password, similar to a smartphone or other modern wifi device. the device then creates it own wifi name that wireless devices can connect to, similar to a normal router. no MAC address or other private id numbers are needed like some regular routers need. i was going to use an older router in "repeater" mode, but that mode wanted the original router's mac address, and one or two other fairly private id numbers. I didn't think my relative's landlord would want to give away information like that, so i went with this extender. the point is, this device is landlord-friendly.

Still baffled why Comcast can only have one router for an entire house however looking over reviews and coming across this extender has made internet life and gaming possible again I highly recommend this product
