Got this unit to replace an older router that was good but not performing as desired. AC2300 was easy to setup, although the configuration dashboard is not as user friendly as those I have used with ASUS products. Unit has a strong signal and provides a constant data stream throughout the house. Only problem was loading a recommend firmware update that showed on the dashboard, it stopped responding and bricked the unit. After researching online found a fix by connecting to the unit directly and using the CLI to manually upload the firmware to the unit and have it flash itself. Afterwards I had to setup the unit again and it has worked fine. Just going to consider the benefit of loading any firmware updates it recommends in the future.

Nice router; super easy setup; can find it from a good distance away from my house. The ability to control the router and reset passwords from the app is nice.
I probably could have gotten away with one with less range and cost, but this one is fine. No complaints!

Great Wireless Router for Multiple Devices

My connection at my house always seemed slower when many devices were on my network. At first I thought it was my provider as I had DSL and I switched to cable, but I still would experience a slowdown when many users were on at the same time. Once I added this router, however, that all went away and allowed me to be able to stream and game on two different devices much better than my previous router could!

I put off getting a new router for way too long. It got to the point where it was taking forever for some of my devices to even connect to WiFi. The setup was extremely easy, and the app is very helpful. I have had this 3 months now, and have not had one single issue with signal strength or quantity of devises connected. For reference, my wireless devices connected or one time are:
3 cell phones
1 Galaxy Tab A
1 Dell laptop
1 HP laptop
1 HP wireless printer
3 smart Tv's
1 Roku
3 Dish Hopper wireless receivers
Everything is running smoothly with no glitches. Very happy with my purchase, and I highly recommend.

We recently upgraded our router to this nighthawk, because our old one was 10 years old. We don't do game streaming, but every device in my home has netflix, prime video, hulu ect. There have been zero issues since we upgraded our router. The range is fantastic. Our router sits in our attic (2 story home) and everywhere in our home gets a great signal. I used to have to turn the wi-fi off on my phone when I do yard work, because it would often be out of range once I leave the garage. Now, I leave the wi-fi on and there is zero buffering from the front curb to fence in my backyard.
I'm not an expert on wi-fi speed for gaming, but they do have a gaming router in this brand that is rated as the best. If you are just average joe like me and looking to upgrade the wi-fi experience in your home, then I can't recommend this enough.

Good router that includes Circle

This router looks like a spaceship, with its design and lights. The router comes with Circle. The Circle app helps to manage the devices using the Internet, mostly for pausing the Internet on devices, if needed. The Nighthawk app and Netgear Genie app are two apps that can also be downloaded to check Internet speed, obtain a "map" of network use, showing all devices connected and the signal strength for each device. With this router, I've noticed my computer will not always automatically connect to the Internet, though I have the settings checked for my computer to do this. Overall, since installing this router, our Internet experience has improved; i.e. signal strength (how far away from the router Internet can be accessed) and speed.

Setup for this was easy. I have had ZERO issues with this router (have not had to restart once in over a month). Great range throughout my entire house. Would recommend to a friend, will continue buying netgear products.

Upgraded our router to help with streaming mainly. I typically buy a bit more power than current needs especially in electronics which change but not on the "bleeding edge" as that costs more than the value when new. This router matches my internet speed (100/20 mbps) so we aren't waiting while streaming anymore. It has security features for all devices and has an app so you can manage devices from your phone. I am using the auto feature and it is correctly choosing the right devices for 2.4 vs 5 Ghz speeds. I also us the speedtest on the phone app to check speeds whenever something may seem slow (not very often anymore). It is nice to do this without having to go to my computer. Overall we are very happy with this and glad the Best Buy rep steered me to pay a bit more.

My old Linksys router was dying. Losing signal while watching Netflix and what have you so I began researching routers and heard good things about it.
So, I picked it up with along with a new modem.
And the stability made all of the difference. The setup for the software was web based and a little tricky but once configured properly, apps and streaming video flew!

This model of router was recommended after the in-home visit from BB. It does a great job of distributing a stronger signal into my living room, so the smart TV can get apps and I can watch YouTube (and eventually Netflix) on my new TV. There are SEVEN bright LED lights to show a good/normal signal. The router is located in my bedroom and now I have a new nightlight.

I previously owned a netgear router with a modem built into it. I did some research and learned those were pretty slow. This router with my surfboard modem allows me to stream 2 nest cameras at high quaility, download games to my xbox at 80mbps, stream netflix, and have users with either laptops/tablets on both the regular and 5g network without any hiccups.

I have had the router for about a month. The speed is good. Set up was easy. One minor issue is I've had to restart it a couple of times. But not a big deal.
Covers my 3000 sq ft house.

This router is easy to setup and configure and provides excellent 2.4G and 5G coverage. It has enough features for the more advanced user but much less expensive than the high end routers. Unless you need all of the special features and config options of the high end offerings this router will do the job for 90% of the users out there.

The fastest router we have ever owned...

The Netgear Nighthawk AC2300 seems to be the absolute fastest router my family has ever owned. We have 15 devices of which 8-10 are running at the same time and we don't even see a difference in speed. It is a dual band router so we split the channels from necessary items going onto the 5G Wi-Fi and less necessary things going onto the regular signal. We don't have to use an extender for the signal even after trying to send through multiple brick walls with metal pipes. I say the only downside is the amount of light it put's off which is anything but subtle (nothing some black electrical tape can't solve).

Went from AT&T Fiber Internet 6 to Internet 100 and was disappointed when my AT&T provided router was only giving me 50 MBS at best. Went into BB and asked and was recommended this. Pulling 106 MBS with everything connected in the house.
The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is, It takes a while to connect and use the provided Netgear software. It also took a while for the router to actually connect to the internet. Website also seem to take a little while so you can connect to them the first time; after that they’re quick. After a few days of use, everything seems to be working fine. Highly recommend if you want fast speeds and good coverage.

I purchased this router since my old one was about 9 years old, was crashing daily and just couldn't keep up with today's demands. This new router has been running solid for about a month without a reboot, I feel like I should reboot it just to be nice but haven't found the time. Anyway, I haven't had any issues and our household can be streaming upto three HD TVs, several mobile devices and a couple PCs at a time and we haven't had any issues. I am definitely satisfied! Oh, and the set up was super easy. Due to our set up, I actually had to change the IP address and just for convenience of connectivity I changed the network name and key to what we had, it took two minutes, the user interface is definitely intuitive.
