Best and Fastest WiFi Experience Ever!

I recently decided to upgrade my mesh WiFi system from Samsungs Smart Home mesh (it was ok) to the Netgear Nighthawk AX3600 Mesh WiFi (AMAZING!) and it’s been by far the best decision I’ve made. This WiFi is not only blazing fast, but super easy to setup and comes with free cybersecurity and covers my whole home. It gives me more Ethernet connections, and the whole family can stream, game and use multiple devices without and interruptions or lag. I couldn’t be more impressed with Nighthawk and this has the WiFi 6 which means any new smartphone will surf the web, stream or you can even game and it’s a seamless beautiful experience! Thanks again Netgear for making great products and for the amazing experience that comes with them!

I purchased this Netgear Nighthawk Mesh Wi-Fi system to solve a wired small business CCTV security issue, this was to install multiple 4K and 6K security cameras in a location in the office far from access to an Ethernet run. The Netgear performed fantastic, allowing me to stream multiple CCTV feeds from the satellite mesh to the base mesh, through multiple walls and from the first floor to the second floor. The Tri-Band communicated great, even in an industrial setting. I even had a 5-Port Poe Switch attached to one of the teo Ethernet ports to facilitate th camera feeds.

Excellent speed! This was so easy to set up, and the security is amazing. The app tells me everything that is happening no matter where so am.

As work from home employees, this product is a headache saver. My wife and I have Teams meetings and with two teenagers that stream two Playstation 5's. The lagging is no longer an issue, the speeds and portability of the Netgear is also a plus due to being able to connect a home PC directly to the unit for wired connectivity since my tower doesn't have wifi built into it. This was a smart buy, no regrets!

I had previously purchased the AX1800 and upgraded to this AX3600 because of the number of devices that are connected simultaneously. I really like how easy it is to set up and enjoy the features it has as a parent. I truly recommend this set up if you need coverage throughout your home.

Have to restart router way too often.

I have to restart this thing 3+ times every week. Each time I connect a new device, either the network blows up and all devices become offline, or the new device remains invisible in the network, which I need to restart. From time to time my satellite connection to the main router becomes super unstable and the whole router needs restart. Sometimes the router just mysteriously disconnects from the Internet and doesn't connect back, and needs restart. I haven't had to restart so many times in such a short timeframe in the entirety of my life owning other routers. Also it is inconvenient to not be able to manually manage the network map. I know where my satellites and routers are so I know what the best way is to connect among them. However, I cannot customize it, and my satellite always tries to connect to The far-away router instead of to a closer satellite, so that connection is the most unstable in the entire house. Trying to be smart but failed. Would not recommend.

I've used the Xfinity wifi pods for about 2.5 years and they worked just fine for about one year. Then, they just didn't ever seem to keep the wifi feed active throughout the house so I started looking for other options. The house is a two-story, 3200 sq foot home that is apparently built well enough that wifi has a difficult time penetrating several rooms. This Nighthawk mesh system replaced three Xfinity pods that, on a good day, gave me about 65 Mbps. I only pay for 100 Mbps, and over the past 10 days the Netgear mesh has consistently given about 100 Mbps when my VPN is off; 65 Mbps with VPN on. Of course, it varies a bit depending on the device and its wifi capability--none of my devices are ax. But, when I tie an old i3 desktop that typically has a wifi max of about 28 Mbps to a Netgear satellite via ethernet, it receives in excess of the 100 Mbps I'm paying for. Best of all, this mesh system seems to route traffic much better than the pods I was using; the main smart tv (an old LG WebOS) used to constantly buffer so I always ended up routing traffic through a Roku device. With this Netgear system's satellite nearby I haven't had any buffering challenges with the TV at all. It's pricey, but may be worth it if your home is large, has difficult wifi areas, and you have numerous devices. The only complaints so far are the bright blue LED "on and working" indicator that is difficult to disguise, especially if near a TV, and the cooling vents on top of the satellites look pretty cool BUT look dusty even when they are clean. Performance overwhelms these minor complaints so far.

The Netgear mesh router was easy to set up using the app. What I've noticed so far is that the coverage is better and speed is faster than that of my prior router.

Exceeded expectations. Just moved to 10acres and had to replace our old wifi so we went with this product... Low and behold, with the 3 wifi points inside our house, we can now get wifi on our entire property. The photo attached was taken while on wifi with a on roughly 100M speed test, you can see the house in the background... Did not expect this, but am thoroughly happy by it. We won't have to research outdoor APs for awhile now.

This Trivandrum router is just amazing. I’ve had it for about a month now and the speeds are very consistent. I have Frontier Internet 500/500 and My last speed test was 505/510 I have also run it with and independent speed app (SpeedSmart) and I got 447/492 in the evening. My old net best was giving me 174/191. The tri-band works with 1 router and it’s 2 satellites they all communicate with each other and triangulate forming an area solid area of great signal. No matter where I go in my house I have great service. I also love the netgear app, it controls the device completely. Even remotely from my iPhone I can see the systems status. Big plus for when am away traveling. Netgear is having and special of practically have price and Best Buy prices matched so a win win situation.

Pain in the butt to setup, has to run the setup 3 times to find the satellites but once I got them setup, they have been working fantastic. Xbox downloads are fast and haven’t seen any lagging on the smart TVs. My only gripe is the app doesn’t seem to show what devices are connected to what satellite. Both satellites in the app say zero devices connected even though my Xbox is wired into one of them and has internet

Upgraded from a last gen nighthawk… this does what it says and extends range reliably in a medium sized house without too much speed sacrifice, although satellite routers are a bit slower, but still in the hundreds of Gbps. Using dozens of connected devices on a gigabit connection, and it never chokes. Would recommend and seems to be of decent value for price without going super high end.

Thought Netgear was a safe choice but nope. Set this up and everything was working fine for a day or two but it went down hill. I started having connects and disconnects throughout the day even thought light never changes color, was constantly with support to try and resolve it. Images show how it degraded slowly. I don’t write reviews but this trash deserves one. RETURNED

Don’t purchase this or any NETGEAR product. When I purchased it I was so excited and it has not worked in the 5 months I’ve had it. Call customer service and they say wait 24-48 hours. And then don’t do anything.

The key features of this WiFi are blazing fast speeds and great coverage. I find the speeds and ability to get those speeds from the she-shed to the man-cave and every room in between to be deserving of a 5-star review. I upgraded to this device because my tri-band AC-series router and range extender were delivery just a fraction of my modem's speed to the house over WiFi. Upgrading the an AX means I'm getting 80% or more of my advertised ISP speed at every location in my house, and the throughput is high enough that I've hopefully built in some future-proofing as more devices are added to my homenetwork and the ISP eventually increases the max speed offered again. I did find there to be a couple drawbacks that should be noted: (1) The App: It made it very easy to setup the mesh network but its extremely limited in its configuration of your network. There were a few settings that I needed to access 192.168.1.1 from a computer to get done, the problem is Netgear keeps telling you its better to use the app the entire time you're trying to get logged in to the admin and while you're logged in. Example setting includes setting a static IP for my dinosaur printer. (2) I didn't find the out of the box setup to be as fast as I had hoped. My speeds didn't start maxing out until two days after my initial setup and I was fretting I wasted $$ on a pricier internet solution that didn't help. In those two days I disabled Armour and enabled QoS. No gurantees that those made all the difference but I did see immediate gains after both changes.
