Ok, just got it this morning and set it up immediately. Item arrived wayyy faster than estimated arrival date. We have AT&T gigabit fiber internet. Arris BGW210-700 modem (supplied by AT&T). Had a Netgear R8000-3200 router for a number of years and it was great but the wifi died finally. Hardwired it worked but not wifi. The AX6600 was a breeze to set up. The easiest way is to use your smart phone and the Netgear App. Walks you right through it. We stream all our tv via Hulu. XBox One is connected to living room tv and after getting the router set up, I ran seceral speed tests within Xbox network settings. Got 128-225Mbps download and 80-130 up. XBox One wifi card is the bottleneck. Plenty for tv snd then some. Wired directly I got over 500Mbps download speed. Very impressed with ease of setup. I tested range via 2.4 GHz and 5Ghz. 30-40 away and two walls between my phone and router and I still got excellent upload/download speeds. I have a Vizio display/tv on back porch and even setup via the 2.4 GHz channel and tv streamed flawlessly. I switched it back to one of the 5 GHz channels afterward. House is 2700sq ft heated and I get excellent signal in 2.4, and both 5 GHz channels. Security cameras setup as well and doesn’t break a sweat. During setup it asked(in Netgear app) if I wanted to check for firmware updates. I did and it updated to the most current. Hopefully this router lasts as long as the last!

1900 square feet. Armstrong 300/20. RAX70 placed on 2nd floor. 23 devices. Full speeds in every corner of my home, from the basement to the attic and everywhere in between. Vast coverage outside my house. iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 mini are lightning. With all our devices we have had NO REBOOTS, NO RE-CONNECTS, NO BUFFERING. Could be a 7 Star Rating if Netgear Armor and premium parental controls weren’t an up charge.

Best. Router. EVVVVVEEERRR!!!! I work from home and my wife and I game a ton in our off time, (the couple that games together stays together) as well as streaming and podcasting and I have to say no other router competes with the Netgear Nighthawk series. Top Tier speeds and zero connection drops, able to run 40-60 devices at the same time if needs be. Easy as pie to set up and get started and absolutely hassle free. I never thought I would be a Netgear man since they have or (had) a partnership with Norton Antivirus but when it comes to the Nighthawk series routers I am officially now a lifetime subscriber!

Very impressed with this unit. I upgraded to gigabit internet and wanted a router better suited and more capable of the task of running wireless to my home as fast as I could. I have about 25 devices including a few pc’s and consoles for gaming. They are able to have their own dedicated channel, while everything else is separate. It works great. Plus the software to monitor your network even while away from home is VERY nice. I haven’t felt the need for a new router for a long time, and while I had my previous routers, I always thought that was a convenience I would like to have, and Netgear made it happen. Nice, easy to use and understand layout. Well done.

The nighthawk router has changed our lives. When our old router just stopped working we had no idea that it had been going for awhile until we got our new router. It’s so fast! And I love how the app allows you to check on all the connected devices and scan them for issues as well. Huge improvement to our previous situation. Definitely will continue buying Netgear products as we need them in the future.

I'll start out with what we are having problems with. We have a fairly smart home for video cameras on ring thermostat multiple dongles that turn on and off lights. As we've acquired smart home products it seems that it has become taxing on the Xfinity router portion of the modem. I had a feeling that xfinity's service is blazing fast it was just being throttled by their router and I can assure you that is the case. We were having to reset and restart that modem / router every couple days sometimes every couple hours. I installed this Netgear nighthawk 6600 rax 70 and are completely blown away! With a quad processing CPU with 512 megabytes of memory this thing can't be stopped at least with an equipment that we have running off the Wi-Fi! Below are the stats of how many devices we have on this currently and it running seamlessly. Netgear Nighthawk RAX70 Streaming all 5 tvs in 4k ultra hd Both computers streaming 4k youtube content Ipad and macbook pro streaming 4k ultra. 4 video cameras running Tstat running 6 smartplugs Three mobile phones streaming 4k ultra All of this at the same time for an hour. No issues

This is my first time buying a top of the line router and it did not disappoint. I’m very impressed at how easy it was to setup with the nighthawk app. It is extremely fast.

My previous Netgear Nighthawk died (firmware corruption, it couldn't update firmware) so I begrudgingly bought this AX6600. I say begrudgingly because I loved my old Nighthawk and didn't want it to go. In theory, this router is supposed to be beyond easy to set up. However, not for me. It wouldn't connect to wifi and if it did, it wouldn't stay connected. It would upload devices into a profile, then lose them, forcing me to reload a 6 speaker Sonos system multiple times (this should really be in all caps since it was that infuriating!). I called tech support twice. The 2nd time did it. It turns out the channels were set incorrectly on each band. It's supposed to be, at least for me), 11 (2.4), 48 (5-1), 153 (5-2). Once that was taken care of, I've had fewer problems. I set it to Smart connect and crossed my fingers since it still disconnects from Smart connect sporadically. while I'm sitting in the same room, not moving. I could have a dud and even the tech support rep also suggested it, too. Time will tell. I gave 3 stars since the set up was problematic for me. I'm not a computer genius, but I'm relatively savvy and this just bent my brain because no matter what I did, the settings wouldn't stick. That and I work from home so no wifi = no work. If this router ends up blowing my brain instead of bending it, I will update my review accordingly. The speed is great (when connected!) and in line with my previous Nighthawk which is encouraging for a positive experience with this router (see attached pics - first is old Nighthawk, second is new Nighthawk).

This was great router and the speed was amazing. The downfall of this was lack of range so I returned this for a mesh net gear system instead. This works reaching my third floor but doesn’t reach the far side of my house.

I'm getting 600-700Mbps up and down with a 9ms ping from 8 feet away with the Intel AX201 card in my laptop. Hardwired my laptop does 930-940Mbps up and down with a 7ms ping. Best speed test on wifi 6 I got was 800Mbps with the laptop right next to the RAX70. The Nighthawk AX6600 gave me the best coverage to my front and rear doorbell cameras in the vertical orientation, so I built a mount to give me more position options than wall mounting.

I bought this to go along with my 1g internet service and am nothing but impressed. This has increased my 'Tested' wireless speed from ~200Mbps to ~600Mbps+. This has been like a dream upgrade for my network. To top it off I haven't upgraded the network on my test system to WIFI 6 yet, still on 5 and am super impressed with the speed increase. Would definitely recommend.

Not a whole lot to say, just look at the photo. We have Frontier Fios; we were lucky if we got over 100/100 even though we pay for “up to” 1500/1500 with their “best” router. We’ve got three laptops, three smart TV’s, two PS5’s, two cell phones, and a smart watch all connected. We both game and the lag was making raiding impossible. The setup was brain dead easy. One of the instances where throwing money at the problem actually works lol.
