Had the original 2 in one modem from CenturyLink paying for 1G fiber and was getting 20-30Mbps on wifi throughout the house. Had it in the basement (3200 SqFt) and would get breaks in connection watching Netflix on the main floor and terrible in the bedroom upstairs. So purchased this device to help with that and in my office I now get 250 Mbps on my computer (not wifi 6 yet) and 500+ Mbps on my iPhone 11 Max. So far so good, only have had it 10 days so we will continue to monitor that!

I've had the Nighthawk AX6000 for about a month now. It's been reliable and trouble-free with up to a dozen devices connected and operating simultaneously.
Setup was easy using my iPhone. My only complaint is that despite using the same IDSID/password as my old router I still had to re-enter the password on every device. Perhaps this is a good thing, but I'd read a review that said otherwise.
Not only is this unit a top performer now, but it supports WiFi6 to take advantage of the new standard as it comes on line in 2019.

It's a good router, but It has major problems. Signing into the router setup can be a headache. Trying to use the app only works some of the time, and using a web browser to get to the router setup is EXTREMELY unresponsive and/or slow. Also - once in a while the internet will just completely drop out, though it hasn't happened lately. I think with a firmware update this issues can be resolved, but I'm still waiting on it.

Replaced my previous modem/router combo with a netgear modem and this router. My download speeds are now much faster and netflix keeps going without interruption.

I decided to upgrade from Google Wifi to increase my speed. it has improved significantly. Netgear covers my house better than the mesh from Google.

Setting up took a little longer time then I expected like most reviews mentioned. Once it was connected, I don't have issue with most of my devices. I also have great range improvement for the devices that work well. However, my wife and my son do not share the same experience then my daughter and I. My wife uses Iphone, my son uses Android and both experienced constant drop in signals whereas my daughter's Ipad and my Android never have that experience. Tried many ways to troubleshoot but still the same result. Buyer beware performance is not consistence.

Right out of the box I had issues. I plug it in and did a reset of my modem just like you are suppose to do. Tried to connect to my Tv, but it would not stay connected. Tried my IPad and the same thing.
I had trouble getting it to connect to my phone . It would not let me change the password plus do the set up to change the name for the router. So I had to reset the router, in order for it to do the set up. Once I reset it , I had no problem getting everything to work properly. Within five minutes everything was connected password changed and it was working fine.

This router is so easy to set up it's unreal. Just follow the instructions and make sure you use the Nighthawk App. After answering a few very easy questions you can scan the QR code supplied with the router and that takes care of most of the set up! And the speed is incredible! My speed jumped from 500~550 to 975+! With in half an hour I was all set up and surfing! I would highly recommend this router for easy set up and multi gig capability.

This is a great router and one of the best routers I have purchased. I previously had an ASUS router (can't remember with one of the top of my head) and it made the setup of this feel like a breeze (although not as easy to customize), The router is pretty big and looks like something from outer space, but it does a great job. I will say that one of wife's work computer can not find the router, but it is the only device with that probably. In the end I would highly recommend this router if you have the desktop space for this (I don't believe it is mountable).

Good Router. Apparently AX is still in beta, but is the default setting on this router. I had all kinds of issues detecting the 2.4 and 5G signals and signal drops on all devices. Once I accessed the router settings and turned off the AX I’ve had no connection problems. Great stable connections and broad enough range to cover our 2400 sq foot house. Have great range out into our front and backyard too. Interested to see what AX will be like once the kinks are worked out.

Let me say from the outset that I have been using Netgear products for over a decade. I use these products hard and constantly. I have a variety of Wired computers. Phones. Tablets. Gaming machines. Smart TV's. Smart Appliances. Streaming devices (roku etc). HardDrives. Cameras. Doorbell. etc etc etc.
This device does have some amazing range but unfortunately my devices can't seem to stay connected.
Some of my older devices cannot connect at all... and even my Garage door opener (brand new last summer) can't connect to it.
So keep in mind this device does not support the legacy protocols and doesn't have wep or wpa (only wpa2 or the newer standard)
The biggest annoyance was in the Quality of Service section where you define your various gear around your home and set priorities (such as streaming devices get priority over games and games over web traffic etc) This device could not seem to "remember" what device was what even after I went through each and every device and labeled them.
And now the device will not connect to the Internet after a soft reset when changing parameters.
I have had this for 2 days and it has been nothing but a hassle. Netgear's website form for requesting help is giving me a server error... So I will be returning this thing once the store opens today.

Upgraded from the Nighthawk AC1900 and have noticed slight improvements in both speed as well as Network capacity. Range has improved dramatically - and the AC1900 is still a solid router so that is saying a lot. We have about 20 concurrently connected devices and 3-4 streams going at any given time during the day and the AX8 handles it with ease - can't wait to see how much better things get as more AX devices hit the market

Absolutely easy set up and signal strength can't be beat! Everything is up and running smoothly and there's a lot going on for it to handle...multiple video cams, Ring doorbells, multiple computers, multiple Echo devices, tvs, thermostat, generator monitoring, propane tank gauge monitor. I think that's all of it. Very reliable and superior quality.

Price was better on Amazon, but I couldn't wait. Thank you Best Buy. This thing was awesome for my family now working and schooling from home. It also allowed me to take full advantage of the upgraded speeds in my neighborhood. Has a large range too. This is in my garage and I can go a couple doors down to my neighbors and still be in wifi range.
