I bought this WiFi6e router to replace an older Netgear AC1750 dual-band WiFi5 router. This unit is a bit pricey, but it has 2.4GHz, 5.0GHz AND 6.0 GHz frequency bands, WPA3, a 2.5 Gbps and 1 Gbps ethernet ports, as well as the ability to connect up to 40 devices. This AXe router is SIGNIFICANTLY faster, with a much stronger signal and better range than my pervious router. Gaming and 4K streaming are smooth, with no discernible lag or disconnects. I like the clean, modern look with 2 "wings" rather than the 2 to 8 antennas sticking up that most routers have. (It looks almost like a B2 Steath Bomber!) If you're looking for a really good router, but also trying to future-proof your network for a few years, this is an excellent choice!

Up until now all of my experience with routers has been with company provided ones. I took a leap of faith with this Nighthawk router to replace the Spectrum provided one and its been amazing so far. I pay for 1 gig and im finally getting what I pay for. Setup was quick and seamless, I like the fact that you can keep the 2.4, 5 and 6 channels seperate and they all have their own guest networks you can setup IDs for each one and manage them through the Nighthawk app. I have 2 devices that use 6e technology and the router sends them no less than 800 on download speeds over WIFI in a 2 story house. Keep in mind my router is placed inside of a closet on the bottom floor and this thing never misses a beat. Its a little pricey for sure, but you can actually control this router which i couldnt do with Spectrum at all. Highly recommend this product

Our internet was driving us crazy...constantly down and always slow. We upgraded to the Nighthawk AXE7800 about 18 months ago and haven't had any issues since. It's powerful and easy to setup/use.

Blazing-Fast Speeds:
The tri-band setup provides exceptional bandwidth management. Whether I'm streaming ultra-high definition videos, gaming online, or juggling multiple smart devices, the router effortlessly delivers high-speed connectivity with minimal lag.
User-Friendly Setup & Management:
The installation was straightforward with the intuitive mobile app and web interface. It took only minutes to configure and secure my network, which is a huge plus for anyone not keen on complex setups. User-Friendly Setup & Management:

So I noticed that my Wifi signal was VERY weak in my room (2000 square feet house, second floor). I did a bunch of speed tests in different locations and my room was indeed a dead zone. The provided router through AT&T Internet is alright, it gets the job done. If you don’t have the ability to hard wire an ethernet cable from your router or you want to have the best wireless performance, gamers, professionals, or families with a multitude of devices, this router is definitely what you need. This router has completely gotten rid of my deadzone at my house. I have this router connected Via internet cable to my AT&T Router (1GB Fiber Internet) and positioned for maximum coverage in my dead zone. Super fast download and upload speeds and superb signal strength! The setup is very easy through the Nighthawk App and the router settings interface is very easy to use. Plug and play setup for sure even with me plugging into my AT&T router. ——— The attached photos are my Wireless Speed tests. The higher numbers on those tests are my connection through the Nighthawk. 10/10 would recommend!!!———

With the Nighthawk App the installation went super smooth. The only hiccup was I had to call my service provider to get a couple numbers. I have a 3000 sq ft home and the router is on one far side. The bedrooms the farthest away through several walls have a full signal. I only installed it a week ago but I have not had any issues.

Our upgraded NightHawk AXE7800 Extends everywhere and to every device in our home. Amazing upgrade for what we needed. I’ve been using Netgear brand for about 12 years now, this is my 3rd upgrade due to the many devices we continue to add connected to WiFi in our home. Our first one is still working and in use by a family member I gave to. Would not purchase any other brand.

Great Upgrade to RAX4300, HTTPS Content Filtering

I upgraded from a RAX4300 only because it wouldn't handle HTTPS for the web filtering component. This is essentially just an upgraded version of that router. It doesn't disappoint in speed and QoS with ~50 IoT/smart devices, 5 PCs, two consoles, and a hosted server over Dynamic DNS.

Router is solid. It's a great buy. Getting 900 mbs over the wifi 5g and 6. Only beef is that it defaults to and ivp4 for xbox live so u have to manually set it to auto detect for its default

FUTUREPROOF YOUR NETWORK

While it may look like "The Emperor's Shuttle" [Star Wars Reference], it is an amazing piece of hardware that provides versatility and scalability to my home and home office network. Bundled with connectivity and security features that blow the competition away. I matched this router with the NETGEAR Nighthawk CM2050V as my ISP includes voice in my internet package/configuration. My network speeds are 1420 Mbps download and almost 100 Mbps upload on average which surpasses the ISP hardware and I feel that I have more control over my network without needing to rely on tech support [eternal hold]. NETGEAR also offers network extenders which I may consider later for any dead spots in my home but thus far, it has not been necessary to consider that option. My main network runs on average 3 smart TVs, 4 laptops, multiple smartphones, and a PS5 without breaking a sweat and I haven't even employed the guest network yet. With the NETGEAR app on my smartphone, I can configure and monitor my network with ease while having peace of mind that it is secure. I highly recommend if you are building a home/home office network that you do your homework like I did but I am confident that every path will lead you back to this solution for your network needs. The bottom line is that I intensely dislike having to pay for something more than once and that is often the case with planned obsolescence. Technology changes but NETGEAR in my opinion has foreseen this by including support for both Wifi 5 and the newer Wifi 6 in this product. A year of ARMOR was also included as an added layer of security with the option to extend hardware and ARMOR coverage based on the consumers' needs.

I needed to update my router and purchased the Nighthawk RAXE300. The set-up was super easy. I especially liked the feature of using my previous router name and password, so we didn't have to go through each phone, computer, tablet and TV to re-connect. Our speed has noticeably increased, and I would highly recommend this product!

I’ve always really enjoyed the nighthawk line. This one is super impressive. We have a very large family of 6 kids and 3 adults in the house. It covers the entirety of the house which is roughly 65-70 feet long. So far I have not found any dead zones or weak spots. The nighthawks also come with parental control options, so I can assign devices to people and turn them on and off without turning off the entire WiFi to the house.

I got this router to update my 5 year old R7000 Nighthawk. I have to say I am still figuring out the tri-band but overall I am finally getting the data speeds I have supposed to been getting from my ISP and the range is awesome!!! I am enjoying the speed and ease this router has brought to my network and gaming experience. Shout out to geek squad also for helping me determine the best router for my home!!!

This router has bumped up my speed +200-350 levels from the current wifi signal I was receiving in my house hold. It’s been terrific with my gaming and internet connection. I would recommend the nighthawk to any and everybody. These are next level routers for a reason. I can even run my gaming pc off wifi without any latency or lag issues.

I have about 25 devices on the network, and they seem to all be doing just fine. I did notice at least one device on the wi-fi 6 band, but it doesn’t seem any different than the other bands of wi-fi. During setup, I changed the default SSID and password, and then for some reason it made me restart the entire startup process. Once the setup was completed again, I reset the SSID and password. The router then did a firmware update and made me complete the setup again, for a third time. Once again I changed my SSID and password and thankfully, it has been steady since then. I already had the app installed from my previous router and altogether, the setup took about an hour from unboxing to solid connection to all devices. I did read some reviews about power outages requiring a new setup, but thankfully my power supply is quite reliable and have not encountered the problems other reviewers have mentioned. I have a smart tv, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 connected via LAN and don’t notice any improvements over my previous Nighthawk (which is now discontinued). My fiber internet is labeled as 100mb to the modem and with the Nighthawk app I am getting a constant 114-115mb download over wi-fi. Overall a good router for LAN and wi-fi.

Great router, but 6GHz connection must be nearby

I primarily needed 6GHz for VR and gaming. Owned for 3 months now. The software and support on the router is great. But, the 6GHz band will drop streaming connections often after 3 walls within 25ft of the device, so I can only use 6GHz when I'm in the living room with a clear line of sight to the router for Meta Quest 3 Airlink to my PC and iPhone. When I get a NAS or media server set up, the 2.5G port will be nice. I could be using 6GHz incorrectly, since the router is placed below the living room TV, but I'll have to get another stand if I want to try it out with no obstruction from furniture.

I’ve been rolling with Netgear Nighthawk since 2011. I only recommend this product. I will say that this is fire product. Handles all my household needs. I went in to do some configuration on my liking for my other products. I also have the 3.1 docsis modem with gigabit internet. If you want smooth internet on up to 40 devices work from home….. Yur not missing out!
