Customers are saying

Customers praise the Nighthawk X10 AD7200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router for its impressive range, strong performance, and ease of setup, resulting in excellent coverage and signal strength, great for streaming and other demanding applications. However, some customers note that the router is expensive and large, and a few have experienced issues with the firmware. Despite these drawbacks, many users find the improved speed and reliability worthwhile.

We needed a device that could handle 10+ devices all streaming videos with multiple game consoles running at the same time and taking advantage of are 1 gb fiber optic speed. Found it with this nighthawk. Blasing fast speed with little to no buffering.

Previous routers I've used had issues of staying reliably connected without constant reconnection. Most likely due to the noisy wireless environment I live near. But I have not had any issues of connection with this one. The range alone is awesome.

    Nighthawk X10 - Superb Router

I have used Apple routers forever. Since Apple has chosen to discontinue them, I researched a replacement that would meet my needs and satisfy my wants. The Netgear Nighthawk X10 is a superb, fast and powerful Tri-Band Wireless Router with extensive capabilities. I'm still exploring all of its potential - it even has Plex built in (really nice for my central server). At this point, I am very happy with its competence and would recommend it as a long-term-use replacement into the future. Perhaps over-kill now, but not in the near future with video streaming.

Great router with strong signal. Haven’t hooked up to fiber yet and hope it will be even faster. I have had some trouble with it dropping signal to my cameras every now and then. This could be due to my current internet speed.

Upgraded from previous model, Nighthawk X8. Amazing performance, my download speed went up from 275Mb/s to 320Mb/s. A little over pricey, but worth it.

Have 13 different devices that run on WiFi that include 3 xboxes and 6 iphones and internet dropping is no longer an issue for me. Couldn’t be happier. We’re all gamers in the house and this router has been the answer to our problem.

This router was an upgrade from my AC1900 Nighthawk and the difference is night and day as to how it handles my ISP's Gig internet. Before this router I was only getting 1/3 of my ISP's speed and now with this I am getting all the speed available. This beast can also handle all the devices I have from phones to tablets to computers to IoT things like Apple TV, chromecast and more. As you get more connected devices in your home you will need a router that can handle the load and distribute the speed to everything.

I originally purchased a mesh system that I was unhappy with. Still failed to keep my security cameras online and allowed only 1 band on each antenna. As soon as I upgraded this, the setup was painless and all my cameras worked without issue. This was a little more expensive, but I'm happy that everything is working. It is huge, but I had the top of an electronics rack with enough space for it....you need about 1 square foot not including the antennas

The new R9000 is very powerful router with many additional network capabilities. I have 8-TB USB driver connected to the R9000. In effect, the R9000 is functioning as pair of high-speed NAS storage divorced.

This is an incredibly powerful router that handles all of my transactions flawlessly. The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is because it does not work with Orbi to create a mesh network.

Water leak had taken out my Nighthawk X6 which we were very happy with. The X10 gave us a definite improvement in range. The router is in the basement near one end of the house and with the X6 the opposite end of the house main floor the signal was marginal. Now it is great all over and even outside in the yard. The speed wireless is almost matching my wired speed. The house is wired Cat 6. Even with 5 and 6 wireless device hitting it at once there is no performance drop.

By far the best device i have ever had the pleasure of working with. Ease of use Friendly interface Basically plug n play made everything simple. All of the antennas are on the device already. No need to assemble anything. Wifi strength goes through 3 floors of a huge house. The entire house is covered. Probably will buy another one in the future when needed.

This blows all others out of the water and off the shelf from the day I set this bad larry up in my office building. I instantaneously noticed the difference in range being boosted and balancing of speeds of on demand wifi if you will when wifi was needed on what ever devices called for them it was sent to just them instead of all at once when not needed like before hence drastically increasing the speeds not to menchion multiple 3 Chanel's one 60ghz's

This thing is an absolute monster. At any given time I have 10- 15 devices connected wirelessly, and 4 hardwired. My internet capabilities at home are 400mbps down and 20mbps upload. I consistently get this if not a little better both wirelessly and hardwired. I reset my router and modem every couple weeks and continue to have reliable and quality internet connection. Buy this router!!!

In about 2 years everyone will have one of these! The perofrmance is exceptional. I have a 3600 sq/ft home and 20 acre ranch. I can rec eive the signal almost throughout the property, although the further you go the weaker it gets. However in our home (2 story) it works perfectly. Great for gaming. Can reach wireless speeds of 7.2Gbps, plus it has 1 GB RAM. Bestbuy definetely was the best price at $449.99. Good choice if you want the best!

It works as advertised. However, I have paid too much for bells and whistles that I will not use. My old router was as fast. Recommend a less costly Netgear or Asus.
