Beat WiFi range finder I have used to date! Replaced a TP-Link AC2600. Unlike the TP-Link, signal does not drop! Very consistent and easy to setup! Both bands (2.4 & 5) work excellent. Better range than the TP-Link and it is cheaper! What is not to like. Solid and dependable performance!

Was easy to setup and link to our router. The issues started after setup though. For some reason, every 20minutes certain wireless devices would disconnect to this extender such as our Roku or laptops. Tried different outlets as well, same issue. Perhaps it was my use of the item but unfortunately that was my experience.

Let me start by saying that I’m not really a tech guy. I was a little afraid of having a problem with the setup process because I only have an iPad and not an actual computer. But I bought this to extend the WiFi range to my internet based Apple TV in 2 rooms and also to my screen porch. It works perfectly. It Does exactly what I expected it to do and took zero effort to get it up and running. It is seriously plug it in the wall, hit one button on your router/modem and then watch the lights on the extender unit. That’s it. Couldn’t be easier. Works great. Gives me 40mbps on my deck where I previously had about 2, and my wife’s phone couldn’t get a signal at all

I needed to extend my wifi signal after changing cable carriers and routers. The Netgear AC2200 Nighthawk X4 had a good review and I have used Netgear products in the past so thought that I would give it a try. It was easy to setup and has worked flawlessly. I have not had any issues with the signal extender at all and could not be happier.

I was truly amazed when I plugged this bad boy in! We have a fairly large homestead and really needed to make sure we had good wifi everywhere to avoid data charges. We paired it with our NetGear X5 router in the main house and plugged this extender into the mother in law suite some 225 feet away. This extender not only covers the entire house and basement, but it covers the back acre of our land, including all of our sheds, with strong and consistent service. This is a fantastic product that I highly recommend!

You can download a free app for your phone to analyze your current wifi range to see if you need an extender, I downloaded a free app called WiFi Analyzer from Google Play, I then found the location where I can extend my wifi range. The installation was very easy and it works like a charm.

I own a house that’s roughly rectangular in shape. For a lot of reasons, I had to place my Wi-Fi router at one end of the house and that resulted in a very low/nonexistent Wi-Fi signal at the opposite end of the house. I already owned a Nighthawk X8 AC5300 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router so I wanted something compatible with it. The Netgear Nighthawk X4 Wi-Fi Extender seemed a logical choice since it handled the multi-band router and provided the needed Wi-Fi capacity. Set up was pretty easy but you’ll have to set up each of your Wi-Fi devices to recognize the new transmitter. I don’t know if this will support gaming (I’m not a gamer) but it works well for video streaming. (Your salesperson should be able to help you with this.) I now have great Wi-Fi signal strength throughout my home and even in my back yard. Recommended.

I got this from Best Buy and it was actually offered at a lower price than other stores, so it was a good buy. Setup was easy, though it took a few minutes. Once setup was complete, moved it upstairs and it connected seamlessly and provided the extended wi-Fi range I was looking for. All our rooms have CAT-5 pre run, which is great for most of my applications, however, with so many wireless devices we needed a stronger signal upstairs and the Netgear Nighthawk X4 AC2200 fills that need. No pass through outlet or I would have given it five stars.

Fairly easy to setup. And works as advertised. It was suggested by a salesperson in the store. I wouldn't normally buy something like this based on the store clerk. I work in IT so I know better. This thing really works pretty pretty well well though

Rather than run about 170' of cable for my wife who works upstairs and at the opposite end of the house, I tried this extender and she is happy with the increased speeds. Like the fact that the device lets you know if you are in range or too far to receive signal from router. Every time I pass by the unit and see the green lights I am thankful for the peace of mind.

Before getting the WiFi extender we had two rooms that would get a signal but the wireless was unreliable. Since installing, we no longer have that problem. I chose this extender due to it not having any antennas because it had to go in our kids’ playroom and I didn’t want to have it broken by accident. This is easy to set up and it doesn’t take long.

I originaly bought this as a refirb from Amazon. It never gave a consistent signal to extend my WIFI phone.. Too many cut outs and drops. I returned it and looked around but finally came back to Best Buy and bought it new.
It works great, has boosted the part of my house that was dead before . I take it to my vacation home when I go (in the boonies but has cable) It has done as well a job there expanding my range. Easy app allows easy set up and reconfig if needed.

The setup was straightforward and it definitely extends my wifi range. Router is in the back of the house and this doubled the speed I was previously getting in the front of the house.
Only issue is that it had a lot of trouble connecting to 5G. The 2G is consistent and stable but 5G is not. I'm using a top of the line Asus router, so its possible that it would be more stable/consistent with a Netgear router.

Really love this! It is a bit pricey, but the speeds and ease of use is what makes it worth while. Have been using Netgear Wi-Fi extenders for a couple years now and loved them. But was always a little annoyed of the fact they created multiple networks. This just makes one network from your main router but uses the mesh technology to easily create one, fast cloud around your house.
I set up mine in our basement - very far from the main router in the upstairs living room. Actually, it is in the furthest spot you can put it from the main and it still works flawlessly. Highly recommend

I needed to expand my network far from my router and into my garage. This worked perfectly. Easy to setup. with the guide, and then you can have access to all of the advanced features. It has a strong signal and covers a lot of area. I made the 2.4 and 5GHz channels the same SSID as my router but on different channels. I use this as an extender connected by an ethernet cable. Worked with no problems. The unit can be put in an outlet and you can still have assess to the bottom plug. Overall, another solid piece of Netgear networking equipment.

I use this device to expand the range of my router from upstairs to the garage to enable my garage doors to open & close from WiFi. It's a very convenient method to expand the range of the router without investing into a mesh router system.
I would not recommend depending on this device for equivalent speed to your router. Only use this for basic devices and don't expect excellent download speed.

We've had trouble with our wifi reaching all parts of our house. We just purchased the Xfinity Xfi pods-what garbage! Returned them immeditely and purchased the Netgear Nighthawk. I can't praise it enough. It looks cool plugged in, super easy and quick to set up. I love that all our laptops, iPads, iPhones & desktops are finally getting full coverage and top speeds anywhere in the house. No lags, no messages, no dropping service, no Cellular Data having to be used in your own home! I'm even able to get a strong signal in our driveway!

Once set up, this has worked well and successfully extended the range to an area that had problems before. This eliminated all those problems. Haven't ever had to touch it at all once it was set up. Note, however, that our area is not particularly big, so this is not necessarily a great testament to the maximum range, I'm sure we are an easy case for that.
The one problem was with the setup. You are supposed to be able to set it up using WiFi, but I could never get that to work. I had to connect directly to it with an ethernet cable. Once I did that, setup was a breeze. (Once it is setup, the cable connection is no longer needed.) That initial setup issue was the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.
I am using mostly Apple products: Mac Pro, iPads, MacBook Pro. However, a Sony TV was able to use it fine also.

Setup was pretty easy and fast. But my At&t router kept showing it online, but pending. So, no signal was being transmitted. I tried another cheaper Netgear product first and had to return both. Neither would work with my At&t router. Went with Google home wi-fi system and now blazing speeds on all devices. A lot more money, but problem solved. Note: Arlo cameras apparently get there signal from the Arlo base station only. I was buying extender to get full signal to rear camera. Didn't happen.
