I needed a new router. This is the one that the Best Buy associate recommended. I was on board until I saw the price....The associate must have seen the look on my face. She re-assured me that it would be worth it, and my router frustrations would be left in the dust. So with a brick in my stomach, I looked to the checkout, paid, and home I went to experience my new "toy". I took it out of the box and started setting up what looks like a prop out of Star Wars. Once I had the antennas arranged and set up properly, I started to test the speed loss vs. hard wire.(I have Cox HSI and pay for the "up to150 Mbps") This is where I noticed the difference! My previous router (R.I.P ol' Buddy) would loose 35-60% speed depending on the day, room, location.... etc. I showed an average of 1% total loss on 4 different tests with Nighthawk X4s Wireless-ac Dual-band Wi-fi Router. I was getting 148 MBPS through Wi-Fi!!! My life was good again! I felt relieved that I could lay to rest my old, tired, less expensive and much inferior router. If you get this, I hope you experience the same joy this brings me on a daily basis. I mean, who doesn't want to be able to go 200 ft from the router location into the middle of the street and still get full reception pull up a chair and watch Netflix?

This router replaced a two year old router and has improved our internet signal, speed and reliability tremendously. It is used in a single story ranch style home, covering 2200 sq ft with no problem. We are very happy with this purchase and would recommend to all.

I have this router upstairs and it will reach everywhere in my house. It is super fast and super easy to set up. Definitely a little pricey but it will run all of your devices with ease. Don't be afraid to buy.

OK, I've been a Linksys router owner forever, purchasing their latest every year, hoping to see range and wireless speed improvements. For the first time ever, based on Best Buy reviews, I bought this Netgear router. WOW! Finally, (unlike any of the best Linksys routers I've previously owned) I have coverage throughout my house. No problems with setup. Top notch solid performance. The 5GHz range and speed is particularly impressive, reaching every corner of my house. Maybe, finally, could this be the last router I ever purchase... my wife hopes so! It receives my highest recommendation.

This was the second one I got after returning the one that didn't work. Was very simple to install. Only if you done it before but worked great got great coverage. Good speed. Play my game alot better than before. Would give it more stars but had to go back for replacement.

The Netscape Nighthawk X4S has eliminated hours of frustration over poor streaming, weak signal, and slow response. Easy to set up, it really is a dream come true. I read the rave reviews from this year's CES and decided to take the plunge. Best tech decision I've made in ages. Give it a try; You will not be disappointed!

This has been an incredible addition to my home network. I recently moved into a new home where the main hub (AT&T wireless modem/router) is in the basement. I was getting no signal on the second floor far side of the home and decided to add a new router to the center of the house. That being said, I am getting 100-200 mbps connections (on the 5 ghz band), and a constant 30-50 on the other band at far distances with a lot of walls in between. This is consistent throughout the top 2 floors (3600 sqft), running 5-6 devices in use simultaneously and 12 devices connected to the router at any given time. I am extremely pleased with the performance of this router and the range it offers.

This is my 5th Netgear Router and so far the best preforming. Easy to set up and great online software to manage every item in your home. In todays tech age, the need for speed puts a lot of demand on your Internet hub. This is a premium router and preforms very well under heavy use. I recommend this unit.

Our existing router wasn't producing a strong enough wi-fi signal throughout our house. I purchased this product because it was recommended by the Best Buy sales rep. to correct the problem. It was easy to setup and is performing excellently. Problem solved.

Bought X4S Nighthawk over 2 yrs ago. Speed is very fast and range is incredible. Never drops signal. Live in a 3 story old house with thick plaster and stone walls. Can get signal anywhere in my home and my 1 acre yard. Updates firmware on its own. No complaints after 2 years. Last week I was issued Cox “panoramic wifi” modem/router combo. For $10.99 month I get a weaker signal and slower download speeds. I am going back to my Nighthawk router and going to purchase a Nighthawk modem. Updates to come.

I purchased this router to replace a modem/router I've had for a couple of years. The Nighthawk runs circles around my old setup. A consistently strong signal and reliability are just what I needed. I would highly recommend this product.

Much thanks to the Best Buy employee that steered me to this router. Originally I was intending to purchase another but was promised this would be a good choice. It is. Works well, good coverage, and easy to set up. Highly recommend.

It's nice to have the computers and the phone plus tablets run on diff freq. and the better coverage to my laptop in the back room. Reaches much further then my old router.

Had easy set up, but didn't like the extra software that was included with the install. Great range and good bandwith so far. Would like to be able to change the username for the login info, but haven't been able to find away to change it. Otherwise would recommend it to anyone.

I went with router with a small church install to replace a classic Linksys. Coverage and reliable connectivity was always an issue until I installed this guy. Before, I could never get a signal on the opposite side of the church down in the basement, but now it measures roughly -75dbi which is about 150' away. So there is good coverage throughout the whole sanctuary and down in the Sunday school rooms just from this one router. On a Sunday we may have about 30 or so WiFi connections all the while the service is being streamed on a private WiFi connection.

While it has quite a large footprint, the coverage it provides is great. Firmware gives lots of options and setup is a breeze. This is definitely one of the better Nighthawk devices.

works great! We've had it about 2 months now and have not had any connectivity issues at all. We had an older step down version of the nighthawk prior and this one is WELL worth the extra money!

Excellent router. rock solid signal, easy setup, and it looks good. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. I have 5 PC's plus a 4k roku tv running and it hasn't skipped a beat.

I have high speed cable internet and the gateway from said company was awful. This fixed that. Every device runs great now. Super easy to set up and great for gaming.
