I should have updated sooner. This router is fast, fast, fast. I had an older Orbi - it was at least five years old - and it worked fine, but we noticed devices (specifically Sonos and outdoor cameras) not staying connected or having difficulties connecting.
This system rocks. Super fast, devices connect easily and stay connected.
It was very easy to setup and get going, however some devices were a little difficult to move over. Make sure you remove Sonos devices first, google nest cameras, all those things that don't allow you click the network in the device. If you don't you just have to reset them.

I was skeptical at first, but after seeing and hearing. How wifi 6 will improve older devices. I decided to spend the money and invest in this technology. Having already an Orbi Mesh WiFI 5 in the house and was getting already good performance. I decided to upgrade to Orbi WiFi 6 Mesh system. Man, I glad I did when they say your older devices will perform better. They were not lying. My internet provider is Xfinity, and my data plan is 1200 Mbs. Also, if you don't have 500 Mbs or more, don't purchase. It's only designed for internet speeds at 500Mbs or more. I have 2 windows laptops that, before I got WiFi 6, only got wifi speed under 180 Mbs or no more than 200 Mbs. But now I have notice speeds over 300 Mbs. WiFI 6 is no joke; it's the real deal.

Setting up the Orbi AX6000 Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 (3 Pack) system was straightforward and the operations are solid. The performance from the previous version of Orbi (AC3000 Tri-Band) allowed for additional devices with less buffering. This was occurring for me despite increasing IPS throughput. The 2 story plus basement walls and other metallic objects still interfere with the signal to some extent but overall strength is better. While setup, range and signal strength gets 5 stars the overall rating lost a star because of the app that provides insight into the devices connect to the network. The ability to see the devices connected is great but the ability to see those devices listed by IP address isn’t provided. The IP address is definitely easier to review once setup rather than having to search/review by Mac ID especially when some devices require a static verses DHCP IP address. The ability to assign a static IP to a device could also be made to be a little more intuitive. The plus side of the app allows you to provide a custom name to the device for easy ID especially when you have multiple devices of the same kind, i.e. iPads, echo’s, etc. that require management.

Works perfectly. Extremely fast, very easy to set up. I had an older 3 node linksys system i needed to replace. I was concerned that this system only had 2 nodes (main +1), and would not be able to cover my whole home. It provides better coverage than my older 3 node system. For reference, i have 1gb internet up and down. 40+ devices connected counting all of the smart home accessories i have. Works great.

This 3-unit setup replaced an older mesh system in our 4,700sqft home. I was very impressed to see that we get over 500Mbps download throughout the house! The old system was glitchy and never got more than 100Mbps. Very easy to setup, and the app gives you full access to all connected users, as well as parental controls.

I have to say, I was a bit apprehensive to spend the money on this system but after a month of use, I am glad I did. The app is simple to download and follow. The setup from out of the box to being online streaming movies was literally 10 minutes, tops. I am no geek squad guy and I don't qualify to be an IT specialist but I can tell you that no matter how many game systems or smart TV's are running, there has not been one issue. Download and upload speeds are fantastic and the online schooling and work video meetings are never an issue. I recommend this system although pricey and the satellites and router are rather large in size.

I would give it 5 stars because it works great. But the setup was a bit annoying. It also it kind of finicky with smart home devices and takes some work to get some to work right.
It has good coverage. I wish the units were a little smaller. The ethernet plugs are a nice addiction for a node. The price is pretty outrageous compared to the step below these being double the price for a little upgrade.

My prior Orbi router from 2018 was no longer working and I hesitated on what to buy next. Given the outstanding experience I had with Netgear tech support troubleshooting my 2018 router, I opted to get this new Orbi 6 system and am thrilled that I did. It was a breeze to install (7 minutes), the range is so much stronger than the old model so devices we struggled with are totally online now and the system is lightning fast. Love this product.

We live in a three-story 1780-square-foot townhouse, so this product might be overkill for most people in our situation, but I was telecommuting even before the pandemic and I will be continuing to do so afterwards, and that means a rock-solid Internet connection is critical. Meanwhile, we stream all our TV via wifi and my wife is retired, so she watches a fair amount of TV during the day when I’m working. I had generally been satisfied with our old Linksys Velop router and satellite, but the satellite would randomly seem to slow to a crawl, causing the TV signal to buffer, and we had two noticeable wifi dead spots in the house. That became an even bigger problem when I got my wife a new laptop for Christmas and it simply refused to connect from downstairs where she uses it most often.
I decided to get a Netgear Orbi system based on very positive reviews my brother-in-law gave his. My reason for choosing this one is that the router has four jacks for wired devices, which matched what I had before and meant I didn’t have to reconfigure anything (I very much prefer a wired connection for work purposes). Some of the other less-expensive Orbi products have only three jacks.
We’ve been exceptionally satisfied. No more dead spots, no more TV buffering. I would recommend this in a heartbeat. I docked one star because, let’s face it, the product is extremely expensive. I decided that for our needs, the price was relatively unimportant—we depend so heavily on a reliable connection that in the scheme of things, the cost was not a problem. But I can see why it would be off-putting to some people. My suggestion is that you look at your current setup to see how many wired devices you have—if you don’t need as many wired connections and you want to spend a little less, consider trying one of the other Orbi products.

This is an expensive setup, but was deemed necessary due to the size of our house (which included a very isolated modem placement) and the number of users due to telecommuting and our kids' online classes. Overall, the system works, but does go offline occasionally, necessitating a reboot of the system. The app that controls the system is not helpful. It is not intuitive and could really use an upgrade in its interface.

I wanted to replace my existing system which was already pretty fast… it included the Netgear Nighthawk AX12 Router & Netgear Nighthawk X65 Extender. After doing my homework I decided to give the Netgear Orbi Mesh AX6000 Router and 2 Satellites a try and WOW! The setup is super easy. The speed is lightning fast and the coverage is crazy. My Wi-Fi now stretches at least 75ft outside of my house with a strong signal. I definitely recommend the Orbi Mesh System.

I switched to the Orbi AX6000 from the Arris Max AX11000 because I was still experiencing occasional deadspots in my relatively small home with old style plaster walls. Speed with both mesh systems was excellent although setup was easier with the Arris system. Companion app is sufficient but by no means robust (although neither was that of the Arris Max). Once set up, I have had 0 connection issues with this mesh network however am still having difficulties utilizing link aggregation which was not an issue with the Arris Max. Obviously the price of this system cant be ignored, and unless you are a fellow nerd interested in "future proofing" (despite already being a fossil with 6e on the horizon) you can save a fair amount by forgoing the switch to wifi 6. Also of significant note *DO NOT SPEND THE MONEY ON THIS MESH SYSTEM UNLESS YOU HAVE A GIG SPEED SERVICE PLAN FROM YOUR ISP* as there are other options that are much cheaper that will be more than sufficient. Aesthetically the router and satellite are relatively large but not obscenely so, and stylish enough to not need hidden from view. The plastic paneling does feel slightly less than premium but then again you don't really by a router to hold/walk around with it. Overall if you are looking into a WIFI-6 mesh system and are prepared to spend accordingly this is a solid option.

Had an Orbi 3000 system for a number of years. Extremely good system but some issues penetrating the thick concrete and brick front of the house to reach my Ring Video Doorbell 3+. Decided that it was time to try WiFi 6. Bought this three pack and still had some issues with the Ring, so purchased another satellite and now the whole 2 story 3500 sq. ft. hone and the doorbell are humming. Incredibly easy setup (as opposed to the last Orbi system). Used the same SSID and password and it recognized all my devices automatically. Armor security caused my Orbi 3000 network to crash multiple times a day ... to the point where I had to permanently disable it. Not with the AX6000. It is steady as a rock with no crashes. Yes. This is a pricey system. But the whole house penetration, improved throughput at distance and the removal of the concrete and brick as barriers to a good signal to the Ring Doorbell makes me very pleased with the system. For me, it was worth the added expense.

Had to upgrade home internet to 1GBPS to not have disconnects while working from home. Had the old ORBI RB50 and was capped around 940MBPS. Got this one to get my full speed and now get the full 1.2GBPS (usually 1.4GBPS due to over-provisioning). I also have about 40-45 devices connected at any time. This version had a lot of positive and negative reviews due to issues caused by firmware. I took a chance and have been very happy. I’m a little disappointed that they let it have a 2.5GB WAN port but limit all others to 1GB but I suppose it works out b/c multiple devices running at 1GBPS wired would exceed my internet plan. Still seems limiting at this price point and since the wireless backhaul can move data faster than wired (in theory).
Very pricey but it’s been reliable and opened up the rest of my speed I’m paying for to me. If you don’t have a bunch of wireless devices connected or have an internet speed plan less than 1GBPS, i’d get a cheaper version or look at another brand solely due to price. If you can afford this one and your router is your limiting factor…i’ve been very pleased thus far!

I have an Eero Pro system that I have used for several users but wanted to update to a newer WiFi 6 system with hopefully better speeds. This device didn’t disappoint when it came to speeds. They were excellent over WiFi getting 500-600+ MBPS in same room or one room over from main router where previously I would get 200-300. Even the mesh router one level down in my basement gave me speeds of 400+! The range was excellent working outside even further than my 3 pack of Eero Pro! All my outdoor security cameras had improved signal strength. So going off of range and speed this was top notch! Now I was left wanting more out of the app. Coming from Eero app and even using some other brands this one gave me less options and less information about my network. Disappointing for the price point. Also, personally not a fan of the look of the routers either. They are big!! If you are wanting speed and range and don’t care about options with your network or the look of the router...this is for you! If the options in the network/app are important...you might want to look elsewhere.

A year ago I ordered a Linksys Velop AX4200 mesh wifi system to replace my 10 year old wifi setup. Without a long diatribe - the LINKSYS system initially worked fine, but over the period of 12 months progressively degraded and malfunctioned to the point of being almost useless, making me long for my old fashioned WiFi router. I had heard from several different sources that Orbi was a great system, and I really wanted to stay with WiFi 6 and a mesh network so I rolled the dice. Orbi has been operational now for a month and I feel that I can give some initial impressions. Setup was pretty smooth - some strange hiccups with the app required multiple resets of the nodes and a complete reset of the base node once. It took me about an hour to sort through the setup which gave me some trepidation. However, once setup was complete - done. It has worked flawlessly ever since. Extremely high bandwidth, great coverage, excellent performance through walls and across two stories in an old house with very dense construction materials. I have not needed to reset Orbi (Linksys needed to be reset 1-2 times a week or it would completely shut down) since I installed it. We run multiple devices across the house simultaneously to include video streaming, multiple web applications, work computers, home security and monitoring devices, etc. Can't say enough good things about Orbi. Well worth the switch and deserved of it's great reputation.

This Orbi 850 is fast and leaves no dead zone for our ranch style house. Once you set it up you can forget able it. When in doubt, look on the Orbi app to get all the info you need on how it is working. This is my 3rd Orbi system in the last 5years. If you run into trouble Netgear will help you 90 days. Then BestBuy Tech will help for the next 24 months. But my experience is once set up you will not need them.

I purchased a larger home and could not make good use of my current router. This one covers all 3 floors of my new home without any gaps and with no lag. I would recommend this to anyone in need of heavy usage in a larger location. It supports my family's heavier demands with ease. With three teenagers constantly pulling on their own products as well as my wife and myself.
Went to the Greenville store to get what was supposed to be the last one in stock to discover they weren't able to find it. A floor associate that told me he head already looked for it earlier said let me look again in case I may have missed it. Looked in every location that the store kept them in and said they couldn't find it. He then asked his supervisor to help him look for it and briefly explained the situation to him. Both men double checked and couldn't locate it. I had checked other locations to see if it was in stockand Spartanburg claimed 1 more as well. The supervisor called the store and asked them if they could physically put their hands on it for him right away. When they did I purchased it for store pick up and was able to obtain it shortly afterwards. The floor associate that began helping me was supposed to clock out 5 minutes after he started helping me but stayed to see it through. That's something I rarely find in retail anymore and was truly surprised to find at a big box location. His efforts were greatly appreciated even though it was unable to be found at his location.

Excellent performance and great coverage within our 2 story home. We have 3 TV's using Fire Sticks, 2 work-from-home setups utilizing MS Teams voice and video, and a network streaming stereo DAC streaming 32-bit/384kHZ FLAC and DSD256 files with no problems. Set-up was easy with the Orbi app. A great complement to the Netgear CM2000 cable modem. Only complaint - VERY expensive.
