Easy to set up and pair. Supports fast down load speed of over 350 Mbps. Disappointed in the fact it wants to set up parental controls when it is not applicable in my home. Also constantly asks me to subscribe to internet security that I do not need due to firewall on my system.

Couldn’t have been happier with a mesh set up, very easy to set up. The app works great event to remote in and check on devices.
The parental app side is fantastic to group different devices and set up time blocks for kids or teens to be online. Very helpful feature!
Dual signals allow me to set up guest network but have the other signal for home devices.
Space I set it up was a 2 bedroom condo, about 1,500sqft, nodes are about 20ft apart and get signal all the way past the Garage where we didn’t before.

The product replaced a similar Orbi 2-pack that lasted almost 6 years. Set up was really easy. My house is 2000 sq. ft, and this new router is on one side of the house, and my driveway/carport is on the other. I am able to use wifi in my car when I pull up after work and couldn't do that with last router. I'm really glad I made this purchase.

I just happened to look back on my speed testing when I was working today and noticed I could see the exact moment in my speed history when I got these. I am almost 2 years in and couldn’t be happier with the results. Coverage for 2k sq feet is excellent. I have on in the basement and one upstairs in the other side of the house and it covers everywhere. I have never had a dead spot issue and very few outages (all no fault of the routers). It handles 2 kids using it constantly for gaming/streaming while running streaming security cameras and some phones all while not breaking a sweat. The app is made for easy management as well. They were expensive and I’m cheap, but they were worth every penny! Do your family a favor and get a set of these.

I have 1gig internet through a local cable provider in my area. The WiFi tower they supplied me worked really good within 20’, otherwise got a consistent 20meg speed test if I was farther than 20’ away from it in my home. I purchased this Orbi system and get a consistent 400-500meg when I Ookla Speedtest from my devices throughout my entire 2600sqft 4 level home. I have 8 wireless devices in my home and all sync up without any issues. I’m very happy with this purchase and definitely recommend this product to anyone that is looking for an extended WiFi signal throughout their home and/or pole barn in the back 40. I have not had any issues since it was installed and love the available apps which make it super simple to allow house guests to gain internet access with little to no difficulty when I let them. 5 stars!!

I bought this to help with streaming as I use Netflix and a streaming service for my TV viewing in lieu of cable. I also need to be able to work remotely so having a good/stable connection is extremely important. I was interested in throughput speeds to help with a better streaming experience as my old AC1900 router was not able to keep up. I am a bit more technically savvy than your typical person when it comes to understanding and using computer/network technology as I work in this field. I like the fact that this router was simple to setup and works well out of the box. I think for most typical users the out of the box experience will be sufficient. I am sure gamers and other heavy users may need to tweak some settings.
Setup was pretty straightforward. I kept the same settings (SSID, passwords, etc) so I did not have to reconfigure all the devices that connect in my house (amazing how many things now connect your network). On initial setup I was able to use the App on my iPhone to change the settings...nice and simple. Some strange behavior happened after a full reboot in that the iPhone app kept crashing. Did some searching and found I was not alone with this. Also, my Apple TV (I am mostly in the Apple eco system) was not able to operate and stream properly. But my computer and phone were able to use the wireless network to work. After about 2 hours or so of searching and rebooting, etc. ... things straightened out. No idea what happened but guessing the system was updating itself...but that is just a guess.
After the initial strange behavior after reboot...the system has been up and running without any issues. I have a 2700 square foot house so one unit in the basement next to the cable outlet and the second is on the main floor. Have not needed to add one to the 2nd floor, but nice to know I can add a unit if there were issues. As a result of this I was able to remove the power line ethernet adapters I had been using for my TVs. Running speed tests show me getting my full 50+ MBS with Fios as my internet provided.
Now the system just works. I definitely would recommend this for people like me who have had issues streaming with the older routers.

This is my third Wi-Fi mesh system I have used, and the Orbi is excellent. What I like best about the Orbi is that it has fast performance and able to cover a large area because it has a dedicated 5 mHz band for back haul connection. Some mesh Wi-Fi systems and repeaters loss up to half the speed when using the extender or additional mesh unit. The dedicated channel for backhaul lets you experience faster speeds with your additional Orbi units. I have 50 up and 5 down cable internet. In my main room with the router and modem I can get speeds of up to 61 Mbps up and 6 Mbps down. In my living room I have an additional Orbi unit. I experience the exact same numbers. With my old systems my speed would be around 25 Mbps down and 2 Mbps Up. The Orbi I was able to have the exact same speeds 61 Mbps down and 6 Mbps up. I experienced the same numbers where I watch streaming down stairs with an iPad pro. No longer do I experience any buffering or lose of signal and clarity has been greatly improved. I set a third Orbi unit in my garage and here is where I love it. Speeds in my garage used to by 3 Mbps down and >1 Mbps up. With the Orbi I know have 40 Mbps down and 5 Mbps down. By my pool I could never have a signal and now my speeds are 30 Mbps down and 4 down. At the back of my property (3/4 of an acre about 120 feet from the main router and 100 feet from the 3rd Orbi unit) I have speeds of up to 30 Mbps down and 3 Mbps down. I now have internet all over my house and yard. I have an older house with plaster and concrete drywall, with a tiled full shower so there is a lot of barriers in my house preventing a strong signal.
Set up is through the website which can be slightly painful. I had to update the router and satellites and it took a while. I finally had to update them manually and it took several attempts to do this. There is an app, which shows you what is available and working, but it doesn’t really let you do much with the Orbi system.
I did not noticing a downgrade in performance when walking around my yard and house as I traveled from satellite to satellite and router. I like how the units are more vertical which leaves more space for other items on desks and shelves.

Love this Mesh WiFi system. It worked wonders in my old house with 2 & 1/2 floors plus a basement. I was able to get fast internet regardless of my location in the house. I tried the WiFi boosters before this and it was a total waste. If you have alot of walls, square footage, or multiple floors don't worry ORBI has you covered. If you have multiple users DON'T WORRY because Orbi has you covered. A main router plus as many satellites as you need just let the BBY employee know what SQ footage you have and they can recommend the amount of satellites. It's worth the purchase if you work from home or share a home with others. I was able to have seamless connection wirelessly on my Xbox One S or PS4 PRO while my partner worked from home. Not only that but there was never an issue with too many devices. Multiple phones, tablets, smart tvs, laptops, and video game consoles all using it at the same time. You may also want to get an increase on your ISP speed since now you'll be able to utilize it to the maximum across your home without any dead zones.

This was the perfect choice for our new home. Speed, signal strength, range and stability are great. Setup and management are easy with the app. I really like the dedicated backhaul channel and the ability to use satellite as a true access point. Connecting an Ethernet cable to the satellite is just like plugging straight into the modem, and doesn’t eat into the wireless.

I have a 2-story (around 2800 SQ ft). It's a new build and there were a few real bad dead spots. Plus wifi wasn't great in our side porch area. Range extender wasn't up to par.
The Orbi AC3000 (2 nodes) replaced an awesome Asus router. One upstairs (around the middle of the house) and one downstairs in a similar part of the house. Wifi has covered all dead spots and the coverage outside is almost 100%. I haven't experienced any drops. Setup was easy. The router interface is pretty good, but not as advanced as a good Asus or other router. The dedicated back channel works great as well. We have probably 6-8 devices constantly connected ND peak up to 12-14. No issues at all.

This system works Great! With my previous Apple router we were finding that Streaming Services such as YouTube TV were often buffering, even when the device was properly Updated. The Orbi has certainly fixed that issue.
I have a two story home, both devices are on the first floor. One in the living room and across the house the second is in a bedroom.
Our house has full service, on the first floor, second floor, basement and even pretty far out into our front and back yards. I am thinking about adding a 2nd Satellite for our garage just to expand coverage further even though it really IS NOT NEEDED.
I highly recommend this product, it's priced well, and is fairly easy to setup with the app.
I also want to add, we have at least six different devices accessing the internet all at once most days. Including three iPhones - three iPads - streaming TV's and Xbox's.
The internet never gets bogged down.

My netgear nighthawk r7000 went down after 3 years of use. Really liked it but had a few spots in the house the nighthawk wouldn't cover. So I went researching my next router.
I researched the netgear forums, smallnetbuilder forums for info on the Orbi setup. From one professional review "So how did Orbi perform? Uh, pretty spectacularly" It has the least fluctuation in throughput, most stable, and covers the most area. Sounded dang good to me.
I bought it, brought it home and set it up. Literally takes 15-20 minutes to set up including your ssid. Coverage.... wow... there's ZERO dead spots in my house. I get 60mb from charter internet. I went out to my car in the garage, and did a speed test... 65mb and 5 bars reception. The nighthawk router was giving me 24mb and only 2-3 bars of reception in the same spot. This is BY FAR the best router combo on the market.
Issue's:
- There is only one SSID. There is no seperating 2.4 and 5g, Only one SSID will show up on your device. The router decides which band works the best for your device. Advanced users will not like this...but who cares as this thing does a fantastic job and it works!
- No guest account. Should be coming in an upcoming update
- Handoff. When I'm connect to the main router, and go in the area where the Sat is, you will see it disconnect and reconnect to the sat. Happens in seconds , but it is there. And obviously opposite, if connected to the sat and move closer to the router, it will disconnect and reconnect to the router in seconds. Most people probably wouldn't notice, I wanted to see if it did the handoff and how it worked switching form router to sat.

Although our house isn't very large, the layout was causing a lot of wireless dead spots. I was running a Nighthawk router and two extenders just to get coverage everywhere, and even then the signal wasn't great in some areas. Did some research and decided to try mesh Wifi.
Brought the first ones home, and had them set up and running in about 15 minutes. They have a super easy setup and configuration, and the WiFi speeds were better than we have ever had in this house. They lasted 10 days, then totally crashed. They wouldn't connect to the modem or to each other, you couldn't access their configuration pages, nothing. Exchanged them for another set, but this time I set them up in AP mode with my old Nighthawk router, rather than setting them up in regular router mode (so if they crashed again I would already have my old router in place and could still have connectivity).
Ever since putting in the second set, the connections have been rock solid and blazing fast. They have been connected for about three weeks so far without a single disconnect or slowdown in speed. As long as you don't get a defective pair (as I must have gotten the first time), these are the absolute best I have ever seen for in-home Wi-Fi!!
Note: Technically, the Orbi is not a true mesh network, but is actually a spoke-and-hub arrangement. However, they have a dedicated 5Ghz backhaul channel to handle communication between the units, so the WiFi throughput to your connected devices is super fast, and the signal and range of these things is truly incredible. I have solid, super fast 5Ghz signals in all parts of the house now that I could never get before, even with all of my range extenders.

Fairly easy to setup with a mobile phone. Make sure you look at the dimensions of the unit to know what you are getting (it's on the large side). Improved our local wifi speed compared with old Mac Time Capsule from variable speeds from 3-20 Mbps to a consistent 68 Mbps using Charter Spectrum cable internet. DO like the ability to create a guest network easily and share with a QR code instead of giving out the password. Simple easy setup for the clearly labeled router and Satellite. Like many, our cable modem is in the lower level on one side (corner) of the house (2100 SF ranch with full basement). I placed the router in the corner of the lower level with the cable modem. I placed the satellite above our kitchen cabinets in the center of the house on the ground floor.
Perfect connection, no difficulties, and seamless wifi network created throughout the whole house. Easy! Simple functionality using Circle with Disney to pause the internet on devices which works easily to do so when the kiddos don't follow their parents' directions. Additional (pay) functionality is available for a Premium subscription fee (4.99/month) with Circle that sets time limits for apps and sites, sets a scheduled internet bedtime, scheduled off time, and usage monitor. Included for free is Circle (basic) that allows you to pause the internet by device or whole house, filter content based upon preset filters (None, Adult, Teen, Kid, Pre-K), and see a history of sites visited by device. I would definitely buy again.

Filled my 2700 foot house with WiFi. No dead spot and worked great. I ultimately returned and upgraded to the AX4200 model. It's definitely worth the extra $$. This model is not terribly cheap, but if you need great AC coverage, go for it. Else spend a little more for better HW and AX!

I purchased this because I live in a home that would be considered “cut up” with lots of walls and long hallways. The $499.99 Linksys was great if I were in the room or very close by, but it would drop in the living room that was only about 40 feet away. This Orbi solves the problem with its mesh system of what I call extenders although that’s not correct. They pass the base units signal off to the satellite unit seamlessly. And what a signal. I was paying for the Spectrum internet package of 200 down 10 up and when I would run a speed test I was lucky to get 100 down and 4 up. A soon as I installed this unit, and it’s super easy to install by the way I started getting 224 Down and 10 up so I upgraded to their 400/20 package and now checking my speeds on the satellite unit I am getting up to 435 Down and 21 up. This is in an 1800 sqft home so I should be getting these speeds. With the old Linksys that just wasn’t happening but this Orbi hasn’t slowed down since I got it. Don’t waste your time on those units with 10 antennae’s they can’t compare with this. Don’t believe me please try it. I promise you you won’t return it!
