Great speeds, comparable to a regular ethernet connection. Gaming, Streaming, Voice Chats, nothing has any drops in quality due to bad connection. Great download speeds. Extremely easy to install, just plugged right into the outlet next to my router and one behind my computer, plug and play is massive!

I purchased this from Best Buy for the addition of internet connections in my newly built shop. The shop is approximately 150 feet from my house. After reading the reviews of which many complained of weak signal caused by electrical interference due to the number of outlets separating the sender and receiver units. Because this issue sounded like a deal breaker, I installed the sending unit in my main power meter box, located outside of my house. To my surprise as soon as I installed the receiver unit in an outlet in the shop and booted my PC, I had full strength signal as designated by the light on my Powerline Extender. I have since added many more power receptacles in the shop and office for other electric needs as well as shop lighting. Since adding these and plugging in tools, I no longer have a full strength signal. It has dropped slightly, but I am still able to stream movies, videos and music through the Powerline 1000 Extender connection. If you are in need of extending your internet capabilities, I would not hesitate to purchase this item and give it a try. If you purchase the Powerline 1000 Extender from Best Buy you can always return it if it doesn’t work for you.

I needed dependable internet in a room which had no ethernet access. I did some research on YouTube and found this solution. I needed it quickly so ordered from BestBuy for same day pick up. It works great, strong signal, good speed. For me, it was like adding another ethernet port without the hassle of dealing with my internet company. I like this product, but would love it if it were just a little less expensive! There are other similar products on the market, but I paid for the "name" since I know and trust Netgear. My suggestion is to purchase this product... but maybe wait for a sale.

I've been using these for about a couple of weeks. From my experience so far, they don't work well with every electrical outlet in the wall. In some outlets, the signal light is either red or amber; the connectivity is poor, internet speed fluctuates often, is not stable at all and interferes with streaming movies. It works with only one outlet in my room, where the signal light is green and connectivity is stable enough to stream movies. From network speed tests, the speed is about 50-70Mbps when the signal light is green.

I have a Netgear CM500 modem and Netgear R6220 Ac120O Router. Whenever I play on my PS4 using Wi-Fi, the connection is good for the most part (unless a lot the people in my apartment uses the Wi-Fi)
With the powerline adapter connected to my router, and then to my PS4, I had an amazing connection..for everything other than gaming. As soon as I connected this, I did a connection test on my PS4, and my dl/ul speeds reached somewhere to my actual internet provider speeds (100 Mbps/10Mbps). Whenever I watched Netflix/Hulu, the streams were seamless.
HOWEVER, whenever I played Fortnite, or any other online game, I would have ridiculously high ping, and my connection would shake up and down for a few minutes until finally my connection is lost entirely. I did not have this problem when I was connected only to the Wi-Fi, so I know that the powerline connection must have been the reason why. Maybe it's because of my apartment complex and the electrical grid, idk.
But I know this product is good, but has its faults, depending on where and how you live.

Exactly what you're looking for. Super easy to use with great results.
1. Plug unit directly into wall near router (cannot be plugged into power strip unfortunately).
2. Plug ethernet cable from unit to router.
3. Plug 2nd unit directly into wall nearby your gaming system, PC, or TV (whatever you want to add a wired internet connection to).
4. Plug 2nd ethernet from 2nd unit directly to whatever you want to add a wired connection to.
5. Done, enjoy hard wired connection speed as if you were plugged directly into router.

i was very skeptical at first about buying a network extender that uses the wiring already in the house to transfer all of the data i consume. I have a "switch" with 8 other ethernet devices plugged in to it and then that one ethernet cord from the switch in to this network extender plugged in to the socket. I swear that the internet is 2-3 times faster now than when I was using wireless for all of these items. There is nothing to install and its so easy by just literally plugging it in! Definitely made the right decision instead of just using wi-fi boosters.

I have weak signal on Front door because WiFi located 2F room and had to boost for Ring door bell unit. I run 1 Cat5e from router to Extender and plug into wall power outlet. And plug other one near front door side and install WiFi device and that works really good.(If you expect always run as Gbit, it may not good. it drops 10/100Mbit and back 1Gbit frequently.
It is enough for most of WiFi devices and I love it.

I needed something where I can connect a PC that is not wireless. This product made it possible, it was easy to install and now I can use the PC in and upstairs room all I had to do was plug one of the units to and outlet and the router using and ethernet and the plug the other unit on the plug next to the PC and connect it with the ethernet. Have been using it for over a month and it works great.

I've moved 8 times in as many years, so I'm heavily dependent on simple, reliable, gear. For much of the time I didn't have internet (or once even electricity :3 ), but it's become a necessity for school and work. My newest location only had a wifi hub, my PC's wifi wouldn't work, and I wasn't allowed to run a cable.
I searched around for a bit, and found this puppy. I've had good experiences with Netgear equipment in the past, and it seemed simple enough, so I gave it a shot.
It worked FLAWLESSLY. Seriously, I plugged in both power bricks, both ethernet cables, and I had internet. No configuration, and setup took five minutes... because I was lazy. :) I've never used a better adapter; this is a GEM!
It isn't the fastest connection I've ever had, but I'm a little spoiled. It won't be quite as fast as cable. But it is very quick. It hasn't lagged or dropped out once, for months of heavy use. 1080 streaming hasn't had a hiccup. It's an aesthetically pleasing design, too! It's simple and compact, and appears to be well built of high quality materials.
My FAVORITE aspect of the Powerline is that it is non-proprietary! No matter where I am, or who my service provider is, if I have power, I have internet access. It really is a breeze! TWO THUMBS UP!!

I was in Best Buy looking for a replacement DVD player. We use the player to access Amazon Prime video content. The salesman suggested trying the Network Extender. We have had some delays in the WiFi signal which has resulted in stalls in the video so it sounded like a good idea. I plugged one end into a spare port on our router in the basement and the other in the wall behind the DVD player. Got a good signal, and have had super results. We've watched a lot of Prime content and a couple of movies with maybe one "burp" in the whole time. Very satisfied!!

There's something to be said about when a product just works. No technical jargon here. My router/modem is in the living room. I need internet in the bedroom. I don't want to run wires anywhere. I don't run my PC on wireless.
I bought this product. Literally just plug it in on each end as directed....freakin works. Not just works, but works great.
My speed is way better than the ethernet cable I had run along the floor all the way back to the bedroom. Trust me. It works

This Netgear powerline internet extender was very easy to install. It instantly added internet signal to the entire house electrical wiring system (ours is a recently upgraded two-conductor-with-ground system). It is easy to move the second unit to any outlet in the house or garage where stronger connectivity is needed. One data connector is provided for connection to ISP modem, a second one for computer connection must be supplied by the buyer. The only feature lacking on this unit, which more expensive ones have, is a power outlet, so that this unit doesn't monopolize a plug. I knew that when I bought it. I unplug the remote unit from the outlet when not in use, so that it doesn't pull power continuously. It works, it is easy to use - I like it very much.

Needed to connect a refurbished desktop to the internet. I didnt have a wireless card and with the placement of the desk top in relation to my router it wasnt a very good signal. For an inexpesive solution this works great, very happy with connection speeds and the ease of set up was great. My only down side is having the extra cables, from the router to the first plug and then from the outlet to the desktop. Overall though i am very pleased with this product.

Recently got internet for our 1976 house. The WiFi signal to our desktop computer was very slow or just disconnected completely every few minutes. Installed this powerline adapter and now the computer has a steady 50mb connection using an Ethernet cord. It works fine, but I wish the speed could be a little faster.

Had weak signal over wifi in 2 different locations in the home for an Xbox and PS4 console. Signal was very spotty and caused a lot of freezing while gaming online. I have Xfinity boost internet which is very fast. I purchased 2 of these devices and they worked out perfectly and now game without any lag or signal issues. I am very happy and recommend this product to anyone who has internet connectivity issues.

Fast speeds, easy to setup, never failed me. My router was across the house from my pc which I wanted hardwired for gaming and this worked wonders. Felt like I was plugged straight into the router and I didn’t have to run an Ethernet cable through the entire house.

I have a 2.4/5GHz router and was wirelessly strearming Netflix to my TV. I suffered much buffering some nights. Now, with this product, I NEVER have buffering issues and performance is faster getting into and selecting among the many Netflix movies and show. Oh, and very easy to set up and get going.

I just bought a new house so the wiring in it is brand new. However i bought these in order to have a hard line to my PC because of course the room where i have it doesn't have an Ethernet port. I saw the reviews and they seemed great! I plugged them in and its basically plug and play, however depending on your outlet, it'll give you either red for ok, yellow for good, or green for the best. Every plug i tried was either red or yellow and finally, I don't know what happened, I got a green light. it advertises up to 1gbps through your house and i currently have speeds up to 900mbps which is great but through this i have a max of 60mbps, which is ok for my pc and gaming. I only took away a star for that reason but other than that it seems to work great!
