I have had powerline adapters for as long as I can remember. These worked instantly and have 2 connections and a plugin...which makes a big difference. Recommend to anyone looking for a better internet experience than wireless.

Disappointed that it takes up both outlet and on a 4 outlet it takes up nearly all of them with the big size of the port. $118 including tax also seem price at the upside.
I purchase this item for my work computer since I need direct internet from the ethernet cord. Havent tried that out yet.

I have 2GB internet speeds with ethernet. I thought this would be a good fix inster of having to purchase xFi pods. Turns out i was extremely wrong. I put photos of an internet speed test with ethernet, and with Wifi. Im calling cap on the "green > 80 mbps (best)". I think the user manual may just have a typo, and the 0s weren't meant to to be there. That would at least make sense getting only a 7 mbps upload speed.

As soon as I set these up it started cause breakers to trip, so I looked it up and it’s a known issue for AFCI breakers. Which are used in most new homes. They did work but in 2 hours it tripped 4 breakers. Stay away if you have a new home

Just got the Powerline 2000s yesterday. In summary, I'm glad I did. I have ATT 1G Fiber coming in to a generic ATT router which feeds my Nighthawk 7 router that I use to run Wifi to my 2 Tvs, AVR, 2 computers, a cell phone and other misc things. The routers are on the far side of our house from all the stuff we want to run. The main TV would sometimes buffer and otherwise lag or revert to lower resolution at times. I got the Powerline 2000s to run the main TV via ethernet. Installation was easy and the 2000s went 3 green within seconds of being plugged into the wall outlets. It gave our TV a constant 100mps speed, which is plenty for 4k viewing. It even appeared to us to give a better picture on all programs. Even though we have a premium TV, the Wifi is only 'ac' and I'm sure the ethernet port is only 100mps capable.
For the heck of it, I tried moving my Nighthawk 7 to the TV room as that would be the best place for it. Unfortunately the most it would get is 130mps off the 2000s so I put it back where it was.
Overnight the 2000s went into 'sleep' mode but woke up instantly when the TV was turned on. Still a great picture and sound. Plus our computers are now in the 500mps range because the constant TV traffic has been moved off the Wifi to ethernet.
My only concern now is how long it lasts and whether or not it will have 'connection' issues going forward. I bought them from Best Buy because it would be easy to return if necessary. But, so far, so good!

I'm usually not a big fan of Wi-Fi network in my house if I can get away from using them. I was happy to see that there was a solution to this that didn't involve me breaking down my walls and running an ethernet cable throughout the house. It's amazing how these powerline adapters work because all you need to do is seriously just plug it into the wall, connect your router to one of the adapters and then connect your device on the adapter in some other room and it just works like magic. There are a couple of small caveats to keep in mind if you use powerline in my experience so far. Performance of the speed depends on the wiring in your building so you may get less speed than you would normally if you directly connected through an ethernet cable. Depending on how electric noisy your wiring is you may also get less speed as well. In my case, I got about 60mbps instead of 120mbps. But it really isn't that noticeable as I am able to stream videos and play games with no lag at all. Depending on where you plug the adapter in it may not be on the same electric circuit that the other adapter is connected.
The kit comes with two small ethernet cables and the two powerline adapters. The ethernet cables that are included are pretty short. If you need to connect your router or device that may be a little ways from your electric wall outlet you may think about buying a longer ethernet cable to go with it.
In conclusion, before you do any big project to remove walls and run an ethernet cable through the house it may be easier to buy these powerline adapters and run your home network through the pre-existing wiring in your house. Save me a big headache of doing that myself. Very happy with them so far.

After reading many reviews I determined this device should work anywhere in ny house. It doesn’t. It must be on the same circuit or in the same “breaker” network. That said, even if if you live in a small apartment this device will only work as promised if its in the same breaker as the other outlet you are using. Outside of that, you get 59Mb.

The device works as it should and is easy to set up. Unfortunately, I will be returning due to the signal at half what it should be, not the device's fault but due to my home being built at older times blocking a lot of wifi in my house. so it just gets a little over 100GBS when my wifi and internet are at 500GBS. so being a gamer it's not the speed I want. If you work from home and stuff it will do if you want to have a direct connection for your work computer.

I am disappointed in the performance of the PLP2000. I recently upgraded from 100Mbps broadband to newly-available 250 Mbps fiber. My challenge is that my house was not wired for ethernet and the design makes it hard to retroactively install. Compounding this, the service entry is at a distant location from the living area and in a closet. I bought the PLP2000 to bridge from my ISP's router to my Netgear Nighthawk X6S AC3000, Tri-Band WiFi Router, Model R7900P, located in the center of the house where is has been installed since purchased. When close to the ISP's router, a speedtest shows 250+ Mbps up and download. However, the fastest I've seen with the PLP2000 is about 157 Mbps -- and this is when I connected the 2 PLP2000 units to the same electric outlet by using a 50' heavy duty extension cord! I more typically see about 150 Mbps through the house wiring. I believe the 2 outlets being used are on the same phase since, when I tried a different outlet, throughput dropped to less than 10 Mbps which probably means the signal traversed between the 2 units both through the house wiring and out to and back from the utility transformer. While I was dubious the PLP2000 would perform at the advertised gigabit speeds, this is much worse than I expected. And I wonder what Netgear really expects when I note the "Pick a Plug LED" has 3 levels of expected performance and the highest is ">80 Mbps (best)”. If they expected gigabit service, wouldn't this be at least 500 - 800 Mbps? The other problem is that the outlet available is a GFI, and when connecting or disconnecting the PLP2000 unit, the GFI frequently trips. Once successfully connected, it operates without trouble. On the positive side, the setup was easy, the units connect very quickly, and the PLP2000 appears to be stable albeit much slower than expected. Finally, as others have pointed out, the PLP2000 is large and blocks the other outlet for most electrical plugs (I have found a few older plugs will fit). So, I could only recommend the PLP2000 to someone not expecting performance greater than 150 Mps. I’m now thinking I should have just bit the bullet and bought a mesh WiFi system.

Works as described and easy to set up. Simply plug one of the devices directly into a wall outlet with an ethernet connection to your router. Plug the second device into a wall outlet and the ethernet cable into your computer....done, wired internet connection. I current have the Fios 1gb connection and while using the Netgear, fasted speed I get is around 150mb upload/download. Definitely does the job.

Here was my scenario: Our Comcast cable modem/router with 1 gig servcie is located on the 2nd level of our home and does not provide adequate wireless signal to the basement. I have a kid home from college that needed either a stronger wireless signal or hard wire connection for his Xbox One X that will be located in the basement.
I had a dilemma: Try to pull a wire from upstairs down to the basement, purchase a wifi mesh network, or invest in a powerline network adapters.
1) Obviously, pulling network wire is the best solution, but it was going to be difficult to pull without some major labor on my end.
2) Starting reviewing mesh networks....So many options: Dual band, tri-band, AC, AX, wifi-6. Reviews on wifi mesh networks were all over the place, plus some of the newest mesh systems cost anywhere between $300-$700.
3) Started reviewing powerline network adapters and read about the Netgear Powerline 2000. It seemed to have some promise and overall it had a positive reviews, plus it was about a 1/3 of the cost of the wifi mesh system I was considering to buy. So I rolled the dice and bought the Netgear powerline adapter with the thought if it didn't work, I would return and buy the wifi mesh network.
Unboxed the powerline adapters: They seemed solid and are a bit larger and heavier than expected. Plugged the first one in near my router-- There's an LED indicator on the adapter called "Pick a Plug". The Pick A Plug feature lets you pick the electrical outlet with the strongest performance, indicated by the color displayed by the LED. Green, amber, red, and no LED. A green LED indicates a Link rate > 80 Mbps. Luckily the adapter showed a green LED with the first out let I selected. I then hooked a network cable to the adapter and it showed it was connected. I then proceeded to the basement and installed the second adapter near the TV and Xbox One X. What's nice about these adapter is it has two network outlets on the adapter--So for an added bonus, I was able to hook up the TV and the Xbox. Once I installed the second adapter, it took about 15-30 seconds to connect and the TV found the network signal right away and so did the Xbox.
The real test: After verifying the Xbox was connected and working, one of my son's games had a 21Gb update that needed to be installed--so we decided what better way to test the new adapters than doing the update. The updated started and on average it was downloading between 60-80mb, and sometimes it surged to 100mb. My other son went upstairs to the other Xbox and turned it and started playing Madden online, the speed in the basement dropped some, but still stayed in the 50-70 download range.
Overall, the adapters seem to do exactly as advertised and the speed seems to be adequate enough in the basement to prevent lag while gaming. Granted we've only had the devices installed for less than 24 hours, but right now they are working well. Will update in a few months to see of everything stays status quo!

It actually works but, but, but . . . my router is wifi 6 but this device is wifi 5. Hence, I was only able to get the low 200 mbps when I was paying for 500 mbps. I resolved the speed issue (457mbps)) with another product that had wifi 6e. The powerline 200 is a good solution but I needed wifi adapter to get the speed I am paying for with my ISP.

The product is easy to setup and provides a great connection.
In the several months since I've had them, I've had to reset (plug/unplug) the devices to get them to play nicely with one another.
The pass-through power and extra ethernet port are great features and work well; however, the device is *slightly* too large at the top to allow another three-prong grounded device to be plugged into a standard 120V U.S. outlet.
It's as if they did all the QA on it and never thought to actually test it with something else plugged in.
Thus, your only practical options are:
1. Don't use the top outlet (non-option for most)
2. Buy a VERY thin flat adapter to slip behind and above this device (can be hard to find)
3. Only plug two prong devices (i.e. lamps) into the outlet above where you plug this in.

Plugged one unit into the oulet and route; plugged the other unit on the other side of the house, and worked perfectly. Now I have a hard wired internet connection to my computer with lightning fast speed all through my existing electrical lines. I did give it only 4 stars because the advertisement lied about the wifi capability. This product does not have wifi capability. It is only for hard-wired connections. You have to purchase the wifi externder seperately. But I am still very satisfied with the product.

Super easy to setup. It really is just a matter of connecting this to the router and hitting two buttons. The speeds are good, just like a normal ethernet connection.
Springing for this model and getting access to the extra outlet through the device is so worth the extra money.
