Great for creating a wired connection to router

This works wonderfully as advertised. You connect a wire from the router to one of the poweline adapters. Plug the adapter directly into an outlet. Plug the other adapter where ever you need it. Connect it to your device and you have an instant wired connection to your router. This is great if you need a good internet connection in a room that doesn't get a good signal from your wifi. You can also use multiple adapters too. It helped me get a more reliable connection for my PS4 since there is so much wifi traffic in my house. Definitely a worthy purchase.

My boyfriend and I are in the basement while the main router is upstairs and instead of using one huge ethernet cord to connect our computers and game systems for a faster more reliable connection we use this product and love it! I did learn that this has to be plugged into the wall and not a surge protector (which kind of makes sense to me now lol.) I did a lot of research on this item beforehand to make sure it is what we needed. and with Best Buy's price match guarantee, I was able to price match with Amazon when it was cheaper at the time.

Great product that fixed my wi-fi issues...

I have always had wi-fi issues in my home... In one corner, I could only get 20% signal strength. I tried wi-fi extenders and they did not improve the signal. I have heard that Powerline adapters do not work, but i decided to give it a shot, especially with the return policy. After plugging the adapters in, i can say I now get 80-90% signal strength throughout the house. You just have to be careful of two things. The adapters must be plugged into the same electrical circuit amd they must be plugged directly into the wall outlet, not in a surge suppressor.

It works unbelievable well. the onse exception is you can't use GFI outlets...you know the one near water areas like kitchens and sinks. My office is in my basement and the builder used GFI's everywhere! Once I figured a way to get them plugged into non-GFIs the set-up was instant. Bottom-line...no GFIs, no problem.

We bought one of these after purchasing a smart TV from Best Buy since the TV and wireless router were at opposite sides of the house. After reading reviews online for this device, I decided to run to Best Buy and pick this up. Setup for this device is super simple. It has a secure mode that you can configure, that is also super easy to setup. We are now enjoying 1080p quality video to our smart TV and loving it. So far, these devices seem very reliable--we've been using the pair for a little over a month now.

Works great, it won't connect thru some outlets. Not sure why, but doubt it's the adaptor. Speed is good, better than the wifi. Very easy to set up and use.

I just purchased a Nvidia Shield for my living room tv and have been off the cable/satellite grid for a couple years now. Wifi has been good throughout the house with Apple TV and Chromecast but I needed something with higher speeds for game streaming and 4K. Let me say that this power line adapter is a must when you cannot plug into Ethernet. It is literally as easy as plugging it into your wall. Just make sure you do not plug into power strip will not work. Very very happy with this purchase.

Had slow wifi from my desk top which was far from the wireless router and was affecting my video conference calls. The powerline adapter did the trick. Went from 1-3 mps to 25-30mps. Literally plug it in, push a button and up and running. Uses the electric system in house to connect ethernet on the router and the computer so much much faster. No settings to mess with, LOVE.IT.

Due to our network configuration, I needed to connect one of our computers directly to the cable modem rather than the Cisco router we use. Some services would not work properly through the router. The computer is on the second floor and the cable modem is in the basement. This system worked perfectly out of the box with excellent speed and has been working flawlessly for weeks now. Very easy solution compared to trying to run more cables through the walls from the second story to the basement.

We think it's working fine so far. My partner uses this setup to get a "wired" connection, and I use wifi so as not to conflict with each other. Setup was relatively easy though we did have to follow the troubleshooting instructions twice to get the right connection. We appear to have good performance after about three weeks now and are hoping it continues.

    Great Ethernet Device

Bought two pair of these with the hopes of improving the network performance for my Smart TVs in my home over my existing wireless connections being used for these devices. Connected one of these to my Comcast Modem\Wireless Router and then used 3 more to connect to 2 Smart TVs and 1 Smart Sony BluRay player in my Master Bedroom via the provided Ethernet cables and a wall socket in each room. Setup was dead simple. They work great in tandem and much better than using standard wireless connections in which the speed was less than desirable. Will they get the advertised speed? Not a chance! LOL! But what they do very well is to create a much faster connection where I get no lag and buffering watching Netflix, YouTube, or Amazon Prime Movies using my 30+ year old home's electrical wiring. Doing this decreased the load over my dual band wireless network dramatically improving performance there as well. Mission accomplished.

This product is very easy to use and works great! I had it connected and working so fast I couldn’t believe it . Maybe 5 minutes to be up and running. I ordered another set later the same night of purchase. Works a lot better than WiFi extender I was using before super fast speeds through this powerline device. Best review I can give is I bought a second set!

Needed consistent internet speed to stream uhd and hd movies. My tv in the basement was 2 floors and across the house away from the router which resulted in unpredictable peformance. Since using the Netgear extenders have had steady peformance. Speed is still not what I get when directly plugged into the router but sufficient to do the job well.

Netgear 1200 Powerline- worth the upgrade

Our upstairs computer is in an opposite corner of the house from the router. Even with a range extender the Wi-Fi is only 3 bars so I used an earlier generation Netgear Adapter. When switched to this version the installation was straightforward and the speed increase was immediate. Pages load and download faster and emails send instantaneously. Worth the upgrade even if not on sale.

Gamer here - Owned for around 2 weeks. Product works as describes. Setup was a breeze, pressed 2 buttons and made sure the light was green, if so then you're good to go! Price was fine. Definitely not as good as direct connection to the modem/router. One thing ive noticed though that I really dislike is that even though its connected via ethernet. It won't let me change what network to connect to. It automatically chose my 5G network instead of my regular non 5G network. Overall, the product works and I would recommend to a friend. Good but not great.

These work great to get the home network to devices without wifi on the far side of the house. The speed works as advertised. Setup was as easy as plugging them in. If you buy more then one set you only need one on the router and all of the adapters communicate with each other. They have worked out great for us.

Overall this is an easy way to expand internet connectivity throughout the house. IF it works in your house that is. The throughput speeds are good but affected by many things so results are going to vary widely. When looking to expand your networks reach while avoiding wireless this is one of few solid options.
