These work great to get the home network to devices without wifi on the far side of the house. The speed works as advertised. Setup was as easy as plugging them in. If you buy more then one set you only need one on the router and all of the adapters communicate with each other. They have worked out great for us.

These actually work great (as advertised). I was concerned about bandwidth on the device end, but didn't have any significant signal loss. I have one plugged into the router and the other plugged in behind the tv. That allows for great streaming. "NO MORE LAGGING."

Really worth it. I had to work from home and I didn’t want to have a new outlet installed since it might be temporary. This has worked great. I did pair it with a eero mesh system so that might help keep the internet connection strong. Really easy to use and install.

Our desktop computer is in a 2nd bedroom far away from the router. Running an ethernet cable was not an option as we have a cat who loves cables and it would also not fit under the door. We are also in an apartment so no drilling holes in the walls. The wifi connection would be spotty and have intermittent lag spikes. I found out about powerline adapters and decided to give it a try. The NETGEAR AC1200 adapter works perfectly. I have read that it works best when the two points are on the same circuit leg. A simple way to determine this was by checking the circuit breaker and seeing if they were both on even or odd numbers. Our bedroom and living room where the router was were both even. Also, make sure not to plug it into a power strip as I believe it works best when plugged in directly to the outlet. One caveat was that I had to troubleshoot the connection on my desktop in order for it to work. All in all works perfectly as described. It won't get you any faster internet than you pay for but it will make your connection much more stable. A good alternative to long cables running around the apartment.

My wifi was having trouble keeping my Xbox one online. This was recommended by a best buy sales associate. Easy set-up. I did have to rearrange some items using wall outlets. IMPORTANT - unit takes up entire wall outlet and can not be used with extension cords/power strips. Signal will not be good.

This device solved all of my problems from having to run wires through the house. Just plug it in the outlet next to the modem then went down stairs and plugged it into the outlet next to the devices needing internet, attached the Ethernet Cable and it works. Saved hours from wiring through the house. Just make sure the plug is in the wall outlet and not a surge protector or extension cord.

This saved my WFH life! I was able to connect my work computer via ethernet wirelessly to my modem. Very simple set up, I just plugged one into my modem & the other into my computer and I was connected. Range is great from downstairs to upstairs. Such a great product I didn’t even know I needed!

The one corner of the home that I did not anticipate needing a cat 5 cable and this unit so far has been great. I use this for my satellite dish so I can also run the sling adapter. Speeds appear great. If you have a location that is a pain to run an internet cable, this unit is awesome. Installation is easy and I appreciate the power saving mode too. NetGear has a hit with this gizmo!

Easy installation. I use this to connect my Bluesound Vault 2 to the internet, because a wired Ethernet connection is required, and my components are not close to my router. Over 2 weeks of use, the performance has been flawless, without signal dropouts or compromised music streaming.

I HIGHLY recommend this. my IMac's wireless stopped responding to my router, it happens in all technology over time. this saved me hundreds of dollars. instead of having to replace a very costly part or get new iMac, i was able to bypass the wireless and use this for ethernet and it is perfect months later still. the speed is way better than my wifi too and it never lags or disconnects.

Fastest and best way to get that Ethernet jack to the other side of the property! Plugged into router in the house and plugged the other into the garage, 175ft from the house. BAM! Connected. Connected an inexpensive Netgear wireless router running as an Access Point and have Netflix-capable wifi! This is MUCH better than a range extender that justs boosts a weak signal.

During the covid outbreak my husband needed to work from home and we were going to have to run cables from the basement to the second story (within a week) and this saved us from that headache. It works perfect! He also uses it for his gaming with no issues. Super easy to set up too!

Hard Wire Connection at some expense

The adapter serve its purpose and is reliable, however, with the new protocols used for wireless transmission it is better to go with a wireless adapter if you want to enjoy speeds over 100 Mbs using a 5 GHz frequency. I recommend this to people that just need a reliable connection and are not dependent of high speeds (like web browsing, stream videos, etc.) since it basically gave you around 70% of the download speed when compared a direct connection to the router, however upload speeds were around the same in my home network (no significance difference when compared to direct connection). Nevertheless, if you need a 100% of the normal download speed from a direct connection I suggest to look for the Netgear Powerline Adapter PLP2000 or using a router and a wireless adapter using a 5 GHz frequency for better performance.

Great Option for An Older Printer

I purchased this so that I could utilize the faster 5 GHz bandwidth on my new router. I have a top notch wireless and wired capable laser printer but it can only detect 2.4 GHz bandwidth wireless signals. Instead of paying another $500+ for a new printer, I purchased this product. I have a fairly new two story home (built in 2007) and all of the wiring works great with this. I can now utilize the 5 GHz bandwidth on my computer and print directly without having to switch back to the 2.4 GHz to print. The only negative is that this product will go into a sleep mode and will take a moment to wake up when you first start printing. It is not a big deal, but it is something to mention. Overall, this is a great product.

These are great for extending a wired network within a house or building. It's super easy to set them up and they just work. You plug in an adapter at your router and another wherever you need to connect a PC or other device. There's no setup, no configuration, no buttons to press (unless you want to encrypt traffic)...it's just plug and play - literally.
