The Netgear N600 (WNDR3400) wireless router works well in my mother's house (two-story Cape Cod style), and it let us connect her two computers plus all of the various devices that other family members use (an Android OS tablet, iPod, iPad, iPhone, Android-based phone, Windows laptops, and Blu-ray player) via Wi-Fi. There are both basic and advanced screens available when you log in to the router from a Web browser, which let you change settings, see how many and which devices are connected, set up parental controls, set up security and even set up a guest network if you so desire. This router also has a USB port on it, which allows you to attach a USB flash drive or hard drive, and then access that content from a connected computer or tablet, etc. I tried this with a Verbatim 4GB USB thumb drive and it seemed to work fine, but I have not played with this feature much, yet. Note: you CANNOT connect a printer to this USB port on the router and share it that way -- although some more expensive routers do offer the printer connection feature. (Of course, you can still share a printer connected to most Windows PCs, using this router, by setting up printer sharing in Windows and having that computer turned on. You can also share Wi-Fi-enabled printers as well.) I am somewhat proficient in using routers and was able to set up WPA2 security, MAC address filtering and a hidden SSID without much problem using this router (all of which are good for helping keep your network secure). One important basis for how I rate a product is its durability and how long it lasts. Of course, it's too early to tell for this router. But so far, so good.

From unboxing, installing the software and plugging in the power adapter and ethernet to my PC...it took me 25 minutes tops. It's a very easy process over all. It's very slim in size. The signal is consistent. The good price is a plus!

This router is great for people who use multiple devices at once. The ability to select 2G or 5G, and have a great router at the same time, is a necessity; especially for this price. Some of the more expensive routers aren't as good as this one. Netgear is always reliable.

I have zero issues with this combination. My base speed on Cox.net premier went from 15-20 megs down to 60+ megs down, and my upload speed went from 2 megs up to 12-15 megs up (important to a photographer sending stuff to zenfolio.com), so I am very pleased with this combo a Best Buy sales associate recommended to me. ( I bought their 2 year replacement plan for extra protection from hardware failure-it is cheap and very much worth it to me:))

This household is very satisfied with the Netgear N600 dual band router. Set-up was super easy. Using the Netgear genie dashboard ,connecting to a desktop, laptop, and a netbook was very simple. We've yet to have any disconnect/router reboot issues. Strong signal throughout our 3000 sq. foot 2 story house.

I replaced the router I had been using with the NetGear, the NetGear is so much better! My previous router was cheaper and I'm glad I paid a little more to get this one. It has greater coverage, was easy to set up and has given no problem. I can even get a signal outside now, couldn't do that before.

I needed a router as our home has been DSL modem driven for quite some time, but a pending surgery was going to keep my in bed and off my feet for some time. I wanted to have internet access but because I wouldn't be able to connect from bed. I'm no IT genius and figured I'd rely on something that would be solid in terms of speed and connectivity, a decent price (as we may not use this constantly in later months.... we were DSL because we're simply not big on WiFi) and perhaps most importantly easy to install and hookup. This router met all of those demands, at least in my book, and as I type this I am still in my post-surgery bed. I've had no speed issues, the WiFi range is very good (I think we've never had less than the full cone anywhere in the house) and it was easy to hook up and get started, and I'm very pleased. If there's a caveat, it's that the snap-on stands for it aren't exactly firm or sturdy so put it someplace safe where you don't expect it to get knocked around. Aside from that, I feel this is a great purchase.

Provides good coverage for two level town house apartment. Genie setup makes installation easy for non-technical type person. Price, while >$100, is good option between next level down and next level up. Well worth the extra $.

Installed the Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Router in a 2,800 SF two story home. I get great speed form every room in the house, including the garage and outside porches. It is so much better than what I previously used. I wish I had made the change much earlier.

For anyone with multiple Internet devices in a home, this router gives you great performance and is setup. Because it's dual band it allows you Internet devices to run at their maximum. After some research on the net (tech sites), I was impresses with the reviews and have been very satisfied.

The router was very easy to set up. I was able to configure it wirelessly and it is now providing wireless connectivity to several devices simultaneously including a printer and a Roku video streaming device, while also providing wired connectivity to my DirecTV receiver for Video On Demand. Video streaming through the router works great, and I've already recommended it to a friend who also set it up without any problems.

Needed to replace an older router that was not functioning properly. This router was easy to set up and provided the password security that I could not get activated on the older router. Pricing was good and the router takes up less room than my previous router. Speed of access has improved.

Had problems with other routers in a large 2 level home, but this took care of everything without a hitch. Set-up was easy and very fast. Was up and running within 1/hour after start. Appreciate a good product these days, as 2 previous routers could not handle my situation. Worth the money!!
