Bought this to extend range into basement for older laptop. It works, but you need to link to the extender separately (home router.ext). Although the signal is 5 bars, and all lights are green, the download speed is about half than when the laptop is near the main router. Still works for the basic Internet stuff. 4 stars because of lower speed and extra connection.

My son was having difficulty playing games on his PS4 even though our internet connection is approx 60 Mbps. Checked it out and found the wing of the house where the PS4 is located is a dead zone (photo 1). After checking reviews I selected the N300. I installed it at the end of the hall that leads to the room with the unit. (photo 2) Problem solved. Installation and setup were reasonably easy. In addition, To help you find the best location for your extender Netgear has a free signal strength app you can download for iPhones or Android devices. (Netgear WiFi Analytics).

This range extender has ethernet port and wifi , its easy to plug in and use, signal works perfect. con:this range extender doesn't support dual band. it only works for 2.4 GHZ.

I set this up on my back deck. It was very easy to set up by using the link provided in the setup instructions. I installed the booster about 18' from my router. I am able to pick up a usable signal in my underground storm shelter located about 50' from the booster. My back deck is covered and I added to the weatherproofing of the booster by installing it inside one of those clear plastic outlet covers for wet locations. I knotched out a hole on each side of the cover to accommodate the booster antennae. (pic attached) This booster works great and is a great value. Highly recommended.

I've lived in my appartment for years and have had trouble keeping a wifi signal in my bedroom the whole time. This was so easy to set up and works great as a wifi extender. I dont think its sped up the internet but I didnt get it for that reason so it doesn't matter. Now my tech runs as smoothly and quickly in the back room as it does next to the router. My wifi would always kick me off the network and I have had no problems since installing the extender. Wish I would have bought this years ago. I haven't had any trouble with it in the month I've been using it.

I bought this for my home. We have a large house and a guest home 25' from the main house. I receive a good 54 transmission rate signal but the guest house gets anywhere from 36 - 48 steady, occasionally I'll get 54 with the extender. I would like to see a green light rather than an amber while using the extender. Green means excellent. For the money it's a great extender.

I have struggled with no signal in parts of my home. This product completely solved my problem. I highly recommend this wi-fi extender.

I recently had my modem relocated from the ground floor to the basement. This resulted in wi-fi being available in just half the house, nothing in the LR, K, DR. This wi-fi extender, a very reasonable solution, was recommended by the sales person. If it didn't work he suggested the next step would be to consider buying a better modem than what the cable co provides. I installed the wi-fi extender in a central location where there was a good strong signal, simply right into a power strip (no other option at this time), and it works like a charm! Now I have "Wi-Fi All Over" the house again.

Our router is in the basement and my at home set up that doesn’t have WiFi capability is on the second floor. This is perfect to have plugged in under my desk with the Ethernet cable right in it. This took about 5 minutes to set up and has been working perfectly for about 4 weeks now.

Does just like it says easy setup helped to extend WIFI signal to my backyard installed it in attached garage main router in front I’m pleased with this item low cost and great quality no need for the more expensive ones for my devices

Bought this because I could not watch my favorite shows online in our bedroom because the wifi kept kicking me off the network. Not sure why, our walls are probably too thick. But after installing this small device I have all bars and a strong connection in my bedroom and anywhere in my home. A life changer. Not too obtrusive, either.

My wifi extender hasn't given me one problem since I've had it. I've connected my laptop, phone, and smart TV to it. I live in an apartment but don't get full bars in the bedroom, which is where I plugged my extender. When I leave my apartment, I still have full bars when I'm 2 1/2 floors down; that's how strong it is!

I purchased this item to help with a weak signal to son room. The modem is in kitchen area so I placed this item in the hallway and it gives my son room a stronger signal for streaming on his tv. I read other reviews before I purchased this item and I did not go wrong with this purchase. The product works very well. The setup was very easy as it feeds off your WiFi modem. Will purchase again.

Seems to be working, even though the light never turns green

I have a cheap wifi router and a two story house. The wifi form the router. Could not send a clear signal to upstairs. Once repeater was installed and setup up properly, the wifi work with now problems. It will indict that the wifi is not work or just no signal. I love it!!

Easy to install. Boosted the wi-fi in an area of the house that wasn’t getting a strong signal.

Good product I needed extra signal for my ring camera doorbell and this came in very handy.
