Lets start off with 4 stars. Only 4 stars due to the plastic mount. Why Nikon uses plastic... I do not know. I needed a more wide shooting experience to use along with my sigma 17-55mm and this one finally came out at this amazing price. I am using it in D3300 and have amazing results. Only set back is the f4.5 just not as fast as I would want as I am so used to f2.8, but comparable lenses are too expensive for just a hobbyist. The lens is super LIGHTWEIGHT. Almost feels like I do not have a lens on at all. I am noticing Nikon going more lightweight on everything, but I would honestly prefer the metal mount and more quality than lighter weight. This lens is very little and allows you to use smaller cases that make wide angle shooting more portable. I do notice a very small small amount of fisheye at 10mm, but if you take the shot correctly, you will not have a problem. Add this lense to your collection and you will not be disappointed.

This lens is a must have. The quality of the photos are very nice and having the wide angle helps getting shots close up where you would normally have to back up and then the composition is just not the same. Very light weight(body is plastic) and I like keeping it on a body for those quirk shots that you can crop later.

I had read several reviews about this lens before I bought it. But, WOW! This ultra-wide angle lens has opened up a whole new genre of photography to me. I have enjoyed using my 18-55 mm kit lens at 18 mm for wide-angle shots. But with this lens I can stand in front of a tall Aspen, for example, and get most of it in the frame and it is all in focus with the right settings. I’m now looking forward to using it for more applications. I also used it to get a beautiful landscape shot where I had two trees nearby and framing at either side a distant mountain side and the result was excellent.

Excellent wide angle lens with auto focus. I use mainly on Nikon D7500 for real estate photos of smaller interior rooms. Allows me to get more of a smaller room in the frame than my 18mm lens and does not distort the shot like going to a fish eye lens. At 10mm it is borderline usable for some macro shots. Great Nikon VR vibration reduction and the auto focus is very quiet so makes for a good video lens.

Decent lens. At 10mm it captures a lot, but if you’re going for ultra wide I’d skip this and get an 8mm.

I wouldn't even call my self an amateur photographer, I am just a guy with a Nikon camera who likes to take decent photos on vacations and this little lens does not disappoint. My first time using this was a dual trip to Zion National Park and the Grand Canyon and the photos I got from this lens were incredible. WE even took one of the photos and put it on a 24" x 30" Canvas for the living room. I am sure this lens pales in comparison to the Thousand dollar lenses, but for the average person I highly recommend this lens

My husband bought this for me for Christmas. I am an amateur photographer, and I just take pics for fun so I didn’t need anything other-the-top fancy. This wide angle lens is exactly what I was looking for, and it was so much cheaper than other comparable lenses.

This is a great low cost wide angle lense option. I use it for real estate (interior photos, and basic exterior photos) for single family housing listings and this does the job! I've only used it for a few weeks but so far I this its a great value.

We do real estate photography and found this lens to be a great wide angle shooter. Not super high end but with the right staging and lighting it shoots very professionally. Well recommended for the novice or intermediate photographer.

This lens has allowed me to increase the amount of group and scenic photographs taken with my D3400 camera. As someone building my photography knowledge base, I find this lens as an appropriate learning instrument. It should also be noted that it was fairly affordable.

Bought this for our photography company for wide landscape photos. My wife absolutely loves this lens and has become her go to lens. This is a more advanced lens and takes some time to learn how to use.

Needed a replacement lens for another wide angle that got damaged. This lens was about 1/2 of what I originally paid for another brand. Works great with both my D5300 (after firmware upgrade) and my D7200. pleased with the end result.

Excellent buy on sale for a very useful addition to lens choices. Very wide angle options with light weight and excellent optics. Travels nicely with Nikon 3400.
