Customers value the D5200 DSLR Camera's excellent image quality, ease of use, and impressive array of features. Many appreciate its long battery life, high resolution, and the convenient screen size, finding it to be a good value for the price. This is my first DSLR and... I love it! Once you figure out all the terms of photography the camera is easy and fun to use. I would definitely recommend this camera. I was on the fence about spending this much money and did tons of research on all the other Nikon models and Canon's, and after owning my Nikon D5200 for a month I would make this purchase again and again, no doubt. Also, the 18-55mm VR lens is great to start out with, but will be purchasing other lenses. I hope this review was helpful and you enjoy your new Nikon!

I went from the nikon p100 point and shoot to the d5200, and I can't believe I waited so long to make my first dslr purchase. The pictures come out amazing, still using auto mode. I love that the screen swivels, even if you don't use it for picture taking, it protects the screen when not in use. The manual is very easy to understand and I can't wait to get more creative with my pictures. So happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to purchase their first dslr.

It's a pretty good camera, but unless you must have a flip out screen, better go with the D3300 because it's a new model in the 3000 category, or if you have the money, just buy the newest model in the 5000 category. Newer technology matters in cameras like these, especially if you're dropping this amount of money on it.

Right out of the bag, this camera seems to be a great purchase. The dials and controls are in good places. I haven't had a problem with mistakenly pushing buttons that I didn't mean to push. Haven't used the video yet, but the pictures are of good quality. I bought this camera to use for my children's sports activities and those features will take a bit more practice at getting a great shot. The burst mode shots are a bit blurred right out of the box, so I will need further exploring and practice before I can get really great action shots with it. Overall, I am very pleased, so far.

My first DSLR camera, suggested by a friend. He has the 5100 and would upgrade to the 5200 but skipped ahead instead to the 7100!
Lots of things to learn about cameras; the online videos are a help; technical advice abounds.
Fun to play with, finally getting to see what I'm doing instead of watching a small screen. Now I'm in the market for a printer that can handle the resolution needed to print full-sized pictures...oh, and a few more lenses!

The camera arrived full loaded. I liked the bronze color. Even though i have not tried all the options, but whatever little i have tired, i must say that i am really impressed. Once, i use all the functions, i can write my review in more detail. But, as this D5200 is a new version of D5100, it has got all the advanced version. Overall, i am glad that i purchase this camera. I recommend this to all my friends and family.
