I read tons of reviews, borrowed and tested lower-end models from friends, and all-around tried to convince myself to go with something a little bit cheaper. In the end, I decided to make an investment in what I know will be the only camera my family needs for the next 10 years. The simple point-and-shoot modes let you use it straight out of the box, while the plethora of options to explore and tinker with will let you learn to take more and more sophisticated shots. The images are incredibly crisp with a ton of information in the files (meaning you can crop and zoom in on them to a great degree without pixelation) and the video quality is superb. This camera is an amateur enthusiast's best friend and will make you feel like a pro.

Great camera and lens. The owners manual is informative and easy to follow. Also, there are great photography tips from Nikon and Best Buy on the internet. I am an amateur photographer and I was quickly taking great pictures using the partial assist modes and even the full manual mode. It is easy to delete the mistakes with a digital camera. I have good portraits, close ups and action photos of my dogs running.

We bought this camera because we have enjoyed Nikon digital SLR's from the D-70 onward. This camera continues Nikons high level of quality and ease of use. It's a perfect fit for those who are learning photography as well as experienced photographers.

This camera shoots very good pictures and has pro-level features. It includes dual SD card slots which isn't found on the Canon 80D. The auto focus works very well even when shooting in burst mode. A couple of minor concerns: 1. The photos taken with the default settings tends to over saturate colors and 2. the grip could be a bit deeper. Otherwise, a very good camera.

I've had the Nikon D7200 for a few weeks now and I'm really enjoying it. The pictures are excellent and the camera is quite fast and versatile. I've been using Nikon for seven years now and I think this model is great as a "prosumer" option for someone who knows a little bit about digital photography.

Going to Iceland and needed a new camera . . . Nikon absolutely fulfilled my needs! Enjoy the ability that you can now connect to mobile device to download photos and you don't need additional peripherals to do this. The pictures I've taken so far exceeded my expectations!

Nikon took the D7100 and improved it considerably thus offering a camera with many features formerly available in more expensive cameras.

This was bought as an upgrade from the Nikon D3300 which is a great beginner camera. I felt I needed more control and ease of use as my photography skills are advancing. It has more controls and settings but it is actually easier to adjust the settings rather than harder. The 18-140mm lens is the perfect all purpose lens for me as it covers wide angle to medium telephoto as well as close focus. This is a great camera for a beginner or advanced photographer. I am sorry I didn't start with this one!

This camera is a very nice camera to have if you are just starting out. It can handle many advance functions so if you want to start getting into some real work this camera will do the job!

this camera delivers what it is expected to do plus wifi. people should return to actual cameras than cell phones. Nikon is a good investment. Owning this camera is an experience.

Awesome camera! Took it on a 4,000 mile trip after having it for only a week and am very impressed with the quality of the camera feel and photos, I love it.

I did a lot of research on this camera I waited a year for the price to fall. I found a great price online and BestBuy matched the price. They first sold me the one with only the body the next day I went in and they corrected with no problem. They did not have it in stock but had it shipped to my house for free. Now about the Camera its a great camera takes very good pictures. This is not for someone who just like to point and shoot, it has a lot of settings for different things. I am not a professional so I am still learning the camera. Took it on a cruise and got me some real good pics. There is no GPS on this camera wish it had one, it sucks bcoz I cannot remember which Island I took what pics. After I bought this I saw the P900 which has an incredible zoom and is way cheaper then this but after reading the reviews on that it had some issues with the pics. If you know how to use the settings this is great camera, if you are a beginner and want to learn I think there are cheaper cameras to learn with. if you are a professional or just have money to burn like I did get this one. Then figure out which lens you are going to buy to get better zoom then lens that comes with it.

Great camera for a beginner. Takes great pictures with lots of options. The video quality is great to, but takes some getting used to.

This camera is awesome. I can't say enough good things about it. It's sturdy, easy to use and the functions are easy to understand. The kit lense is great, I recently purchased a macro lense, (NIKKOR 40mm,) it takes gorgeous photos. I can't wait to take more and more photos with it for years to come! Totally recommended!

Did everything I needed and more. Took amazing photos and also shoots in raw formats. Easy to use.

Added this camera to my existing Nikon D80 and Nikon F100. The features are incredible as is the 18-140mm lens.

This camera has served me excellently in the two weeks I have owned it. The picture quality is superb, and itis very easy to use. I would recommend this for anyone, from a great camera for beginners to a great camera for even pro photographers

I have only used it since Christmas but the pictures are spectacular. I've only used it in full AF however I have used it in multiple scenarios and it's done a great job. With the 18-140 it's a little heavy but worth it for what it can do.
