I love veggie noodles but unfortunately, I have some arthritis in my hands and couldn’t use a manual Spiralizer. (I’m also allergic to gluten) One day, I saw an ad for the Ninja electric processor with Spiralizer! “I’m in!” I said. Every Ninja product I already have is a winner. I ordered right away from Best Buy. There isn’t a learning curve to use the Spiralizer. Vegetables feed from the top like a food processor so quickly that I can make 3-4 different kinds of noodles in just a few minutes. Clean-up is a simple rinse. My favorite noodles are sweet potatoes and beets. I’ve tried apples and tomorrow I’m making daikon and zucchini. I keep telling friends that I love the Ninja (spiralizer).

This is a excellent food processor with auto spiralizer. It comes with two cup attachments, a blending blade, a dough mixing blade and two spiralizing blades. This machine is great for all in one use. It is very powerful and easy to use. It is not too bulky and perfect fit in our kitchen without taking up too much space. It does not have a handle but it is easy to grip with one hand. We are no longer need to use the manual way of chopping vegetables as it is very convenient to do using this machine. It is very use to clean and dishwasher safe. The blades are very sharp and it cuts with precision. It locked right in place and easy to switch out. We are using for chop, blend, spiralize and mix. We are extremely happy with this food processor and hope that it will last for many years.

The Ninja Precision Processor is another great product with the build quality that I have come to expect from Ninja. Powerful motor, sturdy construction, and love the suction cup feet that keep the processor from dancing away while you are chopping up your dinner vegies! Judo Chop your way through loads of vegetables with your Ninja, it makes quick work of dinner tasks. An addition to this food processor is the design of Feed Chute that I appreciate for the ability to press your food into the system easily and safely. Our first run with the Ninja was the Strawberry Mint Sorbet, Kid gets first vote on our initial creation. Simple recipe and instructions. In minutes we were sipping on a great afternoon refreshment. Second creation was the Zucchini Spaghetti with basil and sweet peas. Great Stuff! Ninja includes a delightful Recipe book with thirty delicious recipes to get you going and familiarize you with the many tasks you can perform in your kitchen with the Ninja. Well written, easy to follow, Kudos. On a side note, my better half loves its decorative appeal sitting on the kitchen counter next to our Ninja blender. I like that the design and dimensions do not take a large area on the kitchen counter. Ninja goes beyond basic vegie chopping, you can process your own spaghetti or Fettuccine pasta as well kneading dough. Use the Spiralizer accessories to make “Veggie Noodles” to make some veggie plates. Great Kitchen Helper and highly recommend for those who enjoy adventures in delicious creations.

    Cool Veggie Spiralizer and more!

What a cool way to change things up in the kitchen for a party or just dinner time! I was more interested in the spiralizer than the food processor, as I have my MN State Fair chopper for Pico de Gallo - so let's get to it! First thing I did was wash it up and throw an apple in the spiralilzer. The machine is powerful, relatively quiet and features suction cups to stick in place and prevent mishaps! See picture of the first spiralized apple. I didn't bother to core it out so you see a few seeds in there, but the kids loved it! Awesome for making all sorts of veggie noodles, so a quick pan saute and toss in some chicken and salad! Can't wait for the next dinner party to see what new things I should come up with....maybe shoe string onions! It's a bit small to handle dough for my purposes, so I haven't tried that yet. A quick test of the processor blades made quick work of the salsa ingredients to a smooth slurry of goodness! Fantastic!

    lo-Carb zucchini pasta maker marvel!!

I love pasta, and I also avoid carbs as much as I can. Zucchini pasta is the answer to my prayers, best of both worlds for me. Buying the zucchini pasta already made from the store has been expensive and I find myself tossing it out more often then I can use it. Enter the Ninja 4 cup precision processor with auto-spiralizer!!!! This has been a great food processor for me. I can buy my zucchini whole now and with minimal effort, I can create my own pasta from it very easily. Ninja has provided many different options with this processor. Its modular design allows you to create a great deal of meals (they even give you 30+ ideas in a nice booklet). You can make the aforementioned lo-carb pasta, or dice up some onions, tomatoes, apples, nuts, and so much more. Included are two different blade discs for different types of foods that you might want to chop up. A bunch more discs are available to purchase as well it you would like. Clean up has been a breeze as well. You can put most of the parts in the top shelf of your dish washer and they always come out clean and ready for my next meal. I have been enjoying trying out the different meal ideas that they provided in the booklet and my kids have loved the new things that I am able to create with this food processor.

There are many pieces to this puzzle. Unboxing it, you may feel overwhelmed. My suggestion is take it, one piece at a time. Sitting the base down after removing the plastic, I found it had suction cups on the bottom. It was cool at first but if you don't have a large kitchen and need to move it from spot to spot, it can prove to be a pain in the butt. Please use the instructions to put it together before using. It took my 5 mins. Worth it. Some of the features include Spiralizer..........it worked on a potato, didn't try anything else. Not having a different speed other than pulse made it uncomfortable to try other veggies. Be patient, don't rush using this device or you'll get mush everytime. It chops onions really good. Overall, it feels like a mincer and puree device. I don't make bread and by the time I get this guy out, set up and turn on just to chop some veggies, I'd feel tired and overwhelmed. I would use this guy more as a blender than a food processor, if that makes sense. Clean up is just like any other table top device, take it apart, clean and dry. There are so many pieces, so don't lose them or you'll be without a certain function. it works, I'm happy but now I feel like I have 2 blenders. oh well.

Fettuccine blade did great on a honey crisp apple

So I wanted to see what this could do, but I wasnt' in the mood for veggies. I ran over to the store and picked up a few honey crisp apples. I usually eat them sliced or just washed, so this was going to be the same thing. I saw the cinnamon apple recipe in the back of the included book, so I knew it could do the apple. I simply washed it and used an apple corer to remove the center and seeds. I then placed the entire apple (lucky it was small and just fit or I would have had to halve it) into the top and with the green fettuccine blade it took all of about 15 seconds. You can see the remaining top in the pic and it wasn't too much, maybe a bite or two. The rest came out nice, many long 12-15" strings and some short ones. It made for a great quick snack. Clean up was easy, just rinse a few pieces under hot water and used a drop of Dawn on a couple just to get the sugars off. Just have to be careful of the blade, that just got a good rinse. If there's any downside, it's that the unit is pretty tall with the two containers. Then you have the liquid container also, so this thing takes up some kitchen space. That said, I like it and I'm sure I'll have fun trying out some different recipes.

This unit came with only the fettuccine and spaghetti discs, although you can purchase discs to replicate angel hair, ribbon, or pappardelle cuts, too. The spiralizer does an excellent and quick job and you can also use this unit as a food processor to mix dough, make smoothies, and grate ingredients or pulverize ingredients quickly. However, you cannot slice, dice, or julienne, which is a bummer. I called Ninja to ask if there was a way to do those cuts with this machine, with some sort of attachment, but they said no, it cannot be done.. I then asked customer service what machines could do those kind of cuts and they recommended the BL 770 series or the BL 642 series. So, I am not sure that I would buy this unit again because if I could spend a little more on another machine that would be a spiralizer, food process, and slice, dice, and julienne, that would be the best of all worlds..

Good Quality But With A Bad Design

The Ninja Precision 4-Cup Food Processor consists of a motorized base with chambers for two types of food prep - one for "spiralizing” or shredding foods into spaghetti strands - and one that functions more like a food chopper or small food processor. Calling it a 4-cup processor is generous - the spiralizing collection chamber will functionally hold about 3-cups and the food processing chamber functions at more like a 2-cup limit. Ninja’s description suggests that this unit will also slice vegetables but there is no included or available attachment for that function. The spiralizer is designed very poorly. The feed-in chamber is too large (partially In order to allow larger items to be processed), but the capacity of that chamber encourages vegetables to topple over and spin without being processed into the desired ribbons (pictures attached). The chopper chamber is nice, though - it can be fitted with a sharp two-tiered blade (like the ones that come with Ninja blenders) or with a dough blade (but will only mix and knead a pretty small amount of dough). And the processor chamber has a top with a drizzle hole for making dressings and emulsified sauces. The “Quick Assembly” guide appears to suggest that there are five spiralizing disks included with this assembly but only two are provided (I assume the others can be purchased?). I like the base design a lot - definitely a lot more than the ones that come with other small commercial choppers/processors. The base is stabilized on the counter with four small suction cups and that works well. The motor is strong and very fast. All the parts assemble and disassemble easily and intuitively - plus everything fits nicely into the dishwasher. But based on the disaster I experienced with spiralizing, I don’t think this is a useful machine choice.

I'm very pleased with the speed in which the ninja spiralized my veggies. It's not perfect but it makes a good shape in less than half the time of other spiralizers I've used. Love to use the processor for salsa! Great product and easy to clean too!

A kitchen product that is “twice the fun!”

When looking for a new food processor I searched for a model that offered more than just the same basic functions as every other model. Being a fan of Ninja products (I love my Nutri Ninja/Blender with Auto-IQ), I embraced the chance to own another kitchen appliance that I knew I could depend on. I was really excited that I could knead my own dough (1 pound), grind raw meat, process hard ingredients (such as baking chocolate or parmesan cheese), chop up fruit and vegetables, and spiralize apples and potatoes (for homemade potato chips). Unpacking from box: From the first moment I opened the box, I was impressed…and that isn’t easy to do. Included in my box was (listed on top flap of box): 400 watt base, 32 oz precision processor bowl, chopping blade assembly, dough blade assembly, auto-spiralizer with a spaghetti and fettuccine blade discs, a cleaning brush and a 30-recipe inspiration guide. The different components of the precision processor with auto-spiralizer (NN310) were labeled with stickers indicating how to mount on the containers on the motor base, which way to twist to lock/unlock, and clear directions of how to use the spiralizer. That went a long way after barely glancing through the lengthy safety instructions/warnings. I loved that the containers were of a heavier, durable material that didn’t seem chintzy or that would show wear and tear easily. Putting the different containers together was simple; the buttons helped to to unlock them, and the auditory click when it locked, let me know when I was successful. The motor base has suction cups on the bottom that prevent it from sliding along the counter, making it safer to use. Another bonus! And the bowl has a drizzle hole in the lid letting you add liquids while processing. One of my pet peeves of any product is when they have substandard user manuals. I want something that has a large enough font that I can read, includes colored pictures or clear graphic illustrations, uses different fonts (e.g. bold, italics, regular font), and breaks down the directions to make it simple to comprehend. I got all that and more! There was a set of Quick Assembly fold out directions for both the precision processor and the auto-spiralizer. Be still my beating heart! This helped me to quickly understand all the parts and where they go, what other blades were available for purchase, how to prepare the food (to peel/cut or not, how to spiralize, and how to clean. Using the processor/spiralizer: Like any new owner, I tore into the cookbook and immediately made my first recipe using both the processor and spiralizer. I chose Carrot Morning Glory Muffins since I had all the ingredients and it could be done in less than one hour. It was so easy to make and I felt like a pro spiralizing the carrot then chopping it up in the precision processor bowl. I ended up making 12 muffin tops versus the 8 the recipe recommended. My family loved the results! I didn’t even have to break the news to them that it was healthy. The one thing I would have liked was a handle for the precision processor for a more secure grip on the bowl when I poured out batter while using a spatula to get out every last drop. There are two sets of recipes in the booklet; the first group uses the precision processor bowl while the second group uses the auto-spiralizer. Between the two sections there is additional information on the food prep and spiralizer tips as well as a chart to guide the blade choice and cooking directions when spiralizing fruit/vegetables. Well, once I started, I couldn’t stop. Next, I cracked flaxseed in the precision processor bowl. It did a much better job than the Ninja appliance I used to use with the motor on the top. I then moved on to spiralizing 3 summer squash. Every aspect was so EASY and intuitive, including cleaning the different parts!! Cleaning the parts: Be sure you clean each piece before use (containers, lids, blade discs and blade assemblies in warm, soapy water. The brush is great so you don’t have to touch the blades. The pointed end of the brush is great for removing food that gets left in the spiralizer blade. Reiterating my comment of appreciation of the heavier, durable material (that is BPA free), I want to add that the containers, lids, blade discs, etc, are easy to clean either by hand or in the top rack of the dishwasher. The motor base only needs to be wiped with a clean, damp cloth. Additional Support: Ninja offers the following support – a toll free # (877-646-5288), a website (ninjakitchen.com) and a Facebook page (nutrininjakitchen). There are also product demos on their YouTube channel at youtube.com/epninjakitchen. For those who really enjoy the product and want to do even more with it, there are additional accessories available for purchase at ninjaaccessories.com, such as a storage box kit, additional spiralizing blades, etc. Final Words: I really mean it when I say using the Ninja Precision Process with Auto-Spiralizer has brought fun and excitement back to cooking. Sometimes appliances are more work than they are worth. Or cleaning them is arduous so you don’t even bother taking them out of the closet. Not in this case. I have already scoped out several recipes I will make in just the next few days. This versatile appliance can be used in multiple ways making it a great addition to any kitchen.
