This movie is a classic and hands down the greatest animated movie ever made. This one is a must for any anime collector and fan.

I only recently watched this for the first time. I love older animation shows like Cowboy Bebop and Trigun. This movie has some cool character designs and unique battles that were well thought out. For a movie that was made in 1986 it holds up well. It looks great on Blu ray, and has both english and japanese audio. Be aware of the adult themes for the younger audience.

Easily one of the best anime films ever. Truly a classic. I personally prefer the Japanese version with English subtitles...English dubbed Jubei sounds artificial. Either way, a must buy/see for any fan of anime. Ninja Scroll is one of my favorite animes and animated features period. It's typically grouped among the "big three" of anime, together with Ghost in the Shell and Akira, but in my opinion is far above the others. Not to overblow it mind you, this is merely an action/adventure flick, but amongst the best of its class, up there with things like Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws, etc. Many anime enthusiasts are unaware of Ninja Scroll or underrate its greatness.

This is movie is a must have in any anime library. Truly for a mature audience based off of the amounts of dismemberments, a few decapitations, adult language/ topics, with a splash of sex and nudity. I would put this move around the same level as the animated Street Fighter movie. Which I need to get also. A classic slasher-esk style anime for the hardcore fans out there. It looked good back then it it still looks just as amazing now

This one's a classic! If you haven't seen it, then you're missing out on some old-school anime ninja butt-kicking action! It's got ninjas in it...do you need any more excuses not to get this?? Warning though, some of the scenes are pretty violent, and there is some sexual content in there so if you are offended by that, then you might look to something like TMNT or Ninjago.... definitely don't let your young kids watch this one =)

Comes in a great slipcase that shows off some of the great hand-drawn animation and great character design. It truly is one of the greatest and most influential anime of the previous three decades. It is very graphic though, so not for younger children.

I watched this movie many many years ago. I was a teenager back then. It's 2019 now, I'm married and my wife didn't know about this anime classic. We watched the movie together and both felt in love with it. A real piece of art.

This was the first anime movie I’ve ever seen, I was in high school and I will remember it forever. It is so good. I tried watching other anime after this movie and I couldn’t. This is the first and last anime I will ever watch lol

Awesome anime. Glad they brought it out onto Blu-ray. It came with a foilstyle sleeve over it which was nice. Highly recommended for anyone that loves ninja-style and classic anime.

This is a good version of the anime in blu ray. It is an old anime so it is old school format of 4:3 ratio format not wide screen. The blu ray looks clean and depicts the anime well. It is a a good anime with how the action is depicted and the story line in the movie. I kind of forgot how mature rating it is lol so it isn't for the kiddos.

Finally one of the greatest animated films ever made got restored! There are no extras on this DVD but at least it was restored great.

Even when it is blue ray the quality looks like DVD. I think there is nothing more anyone can do about it.

Love this movie so much . I had it on dvd and has to get it in blue ray. Plus it arrived sooner than expected.

Ninja Scroll is like Akira, both made in the 80s and both hold up today. NS is just way more adult themed.

What an amazing and grousome anime! The very best out of the bunch! I highly recommend it!

Watch it now. Great overall anime. Hope they make a live action adaptation to it. Like Battle Angel.

On sale for under 6$ I couldn't pass up on upgrading to a blu-ray version of this awesome anime!!

This movie is pretty dark, and not exactly appropriate for the younger crowd. It's pretty action packed, and the story is pretty good! The anime is a bit more traditional than most of the current stuff, but it's still really good!

Great old school anime but it is violent and has some not for kid moments including nudity.

An incredibly well put together story with excellent art, especially for the time.
