I purchased the controller as an extra for the NES classic. The NES did not come with an extra one. Only downside is the length of the cord is very short.

this controller feels exactly like the original NES controller but the only major complaint is the short length of the cord. either ur right next to the classic nes or u buy separate cord extensions and even then the length can be a problem

This is a must purchase if you’re lucky enough to purchase the classic NES. It feels just like the original, but make sure to purchase a cord extension.

Love the controllers but of course my hands have grown from when I was a child so they are small, but they still work great!

Finally was able to get one for the NES classic I got from a year ago or so. Exactly the same as the one included with the NES Classic, short cable and all. Perfect retro of the original NES controller. Like most of have mentioned in their reviews, the biggest issue is the short wire. You can get around it by getting one of those extension cables or using a longer HDMI cable and moving the actual system closer to you. Not a deal breaker for me since I play my NES Classic on my computer desk but i do understand everyone's gripe. At the price point, still worthy purchase especially if you only buy/use authentic Nintendo products.

Why mess with garbage quality knockoffs? Just get this one. I did for playing downloaded NES games on the Wii-U and it is perfect. Enough said.

Only issue is the wire length but it is a almost perfect match of the original. I have a lot of clone controllers and this blows them away!!!

The original! feels a bit smaller that I remember or am used to, but is perfectly compatible with the NES Classic unit! Looks cute!

Just like the originals. Always get Nintendo Made Controllers. Aftermarket ones just don’t measure up. My only complaint is the cords need to be longer like the original 1980’s ones I have from my childhood.

Pretty much a must for your NES Classic. The controller itself is a bit short in the cable department but the quality is superb.

Controller works just like the original Nintendo controller from way back. Of note. The provided wire is short. I had to use an extension in order to sit and play from a comfortable distance from the TV.

Cable is way too short to reach anyone's sofa, so please get an extension cord if you plan to get this for your NES Classic. Otherwise controller works great and feels like original NES controller.

Ordered a 2nd controller so my wife and daughter could play. Luckily I have the extender cord, as the attached cord is about 3 inches long. Works great, just need to have those "old school" hands, lol

The controller cord is short, so if you're thinking about playing this from your couch to your big screen TV, it isn't going to happen without some kind of extender or wireless adapter. After trying out so many 3rd party controllers, it is great to just hold an official Nintendo controller in your hand, the difference is real. I have my NES Classic hooked up to my computer monitor through an HDMI switcher and sitting at the desk and playing, the controller cord actually reaches far enough. While it is a pain to have to plan your space around a game console with short cords, being able to use an official controller is basically worth it for all those times you want to play a classic game.

Classic remote. though it feels a little smaller than before, but thats probably because i'm used to the newer remotes only down side is the cord is short. reocmmend getting the extension

For the two-player games the NES Classic comes with this is a must-have. Only criticism is that the cord length is too short for couch co-op unless your couch is less than 3 feet from your TV

Feels just like i'm back in the 80s. Tried the 3 party controllers before, but nothing beats the original controller
