I bought this to play with my wife and some in-laws so far so good! I've played every board and overall they are all great! The only flaw are a few mini games that use the stylus.

Haven't played all the modes or maps, but some differences. But so far they have totally eliminated the stars. The placing system just goes by coins. I like the game because you only need one copy to play on multiple systems. My boyfriend and I didn't know that and bought two copies. I would recommend the game to people that get along well. Because ever time we play the game it ends in a fight.

Mario party was one of my favorite games on the nintendo platforms and this one for the 3ds is good because is on the go. it plays a little different than the ones on the wii but it's still fun. 2 people can play with the same game, you just need another 3ds system

This is another game that my husband and I had purchased to play together. We had heard that you only needed one game to play, and wanted to test it out. It was true! It was fun and kept us entertained for a while.
I worked on the Bowser Castle myself to see if I could.
Still need to do a couple of the maps, but what we played wasn't bad. There were some good boards to play, and there is one complete dud. But overall, not bad.

I will forever be bias toward party games that aren't titled Fusion Frenzy. This is an okay time-waste of mini game that lack depth, player control, and a sense of on-the-edge-of-your-seat tension of pulling out a win at the last second that I require for the genre. I travel a lot, so I enjoy mini games so I can up and go at a moments notice. This game doesn't deliver on the ability to quickly jump into a game, no matter how short the round may be. It's controls tend to be clunky and can get frustrating. This game, as a whole, is a nice gateway game for younger gamers, but if you have any experience with the genre and are looking for quick paced, challenges, then you should hold onto your money. Good news is, if you have a gamers reward card, you can pick this up on the cheap. If you have a few dollars in your pocket and want to kill a couple hours, not a lot to lose on this one. If you have kids and want a party game that you can play with them that won't be overly challenging for them, I think that's the sweet spot for this game.

There are 2 mario party games that you can get for the DS/3ds. This one comes with better graphics but very very simplistic gameplay and dumbed down modes. it varies off the set path when it shouldnt. If it aint brok dont fix it

Bought this when I purchased my DS & it was a great deal for under $20 on thanksgiving. It's fun to play, you only need one if your friends have a DS, and great party game. It's Mario, come on...

My favorite game at the moment, I can't stop playing it. It similar to the game cube version. I only wish that the game had longer playtime. Each round is about 30 minutes. But it's still fun!

Bought this so my wife and I could play together on our 3ds's with only one cartridge. Excellent game for download play (do not need 2 separate cartridges). Wish this game had amiibo compatibility.

If you are looking for the classic mario party game, this is not it. That is not to say this isn't fun, but it just feels lacking. Instead of going around boards, most of the levels are only 15-20 spaces long and it is a race to get there first. Most of it is total luck on the number you roll, and winning mini games really doesn't seem to matter much. Games typically last 20-30 mins so I guess it is perfect for the gamer on the go who plays on their commute or in short intervals. The mini games are as good as ever though and are fun and easy to play on the 3DS
