I gifted this to my significant other and it is perfect for playing cozy games together on the couch, it has been used almost every night since we bought it! The storage isn’t great but micro SD cards are not very expensive. It is the perfect size for travel and it feels very nice and durable.

I already own an OG Switch, but with Nintendo's decision to only allow one island per console for the upcoming Animal Crossing title, they were able to squeeze out a little extra money from me.
I was on the fence about the Lite, but ultimately decided the turquoise version was the way to go. Transferring my save data and downloaded games were an easy enough process. Plus I'm still able to play on my original Switch, so there's no issues with swapping gameplay between the two.
Battery life certainly seems better, but I tend to keep my system plugged in at all times, so it's a bit of a moot point with me. Graphically I think games look better on the Lite than in handheld mode on the full-size Switch, which is definitely a plus.
The only potential downside is if it ever gets joycon drift, since I'd have to send in the whole system. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen, lol.
All in all, I'd say the Lite is definitely worth picking up...but I'd treat it more as a secondary system; I still rate the "big brother" Switch as the best one to buy.

Going on vacation? If your taking the family You might need to stop by Best Buy for something to keep the kids busy - like the Nintendo Switch Lite! Lightweight and small size makes the Switch Lite the easiest way to play on-the-go.
Shhhh! Keep it a secret while you play your favorite Nintendo Switch games in this inconspicuous dark grey color option and without lugging the size of the original.
I always refer to the Lite when we I am out of the house; With its smaller size and more portable than the original - at nearly half the weight - makes carrying everything else so much easier. It’s the first thing I reach for before heading out.
Plus the thing just feels right in the hands.
If you don’t have one, get one! There’s was no question whether to buy it; we’ll worth it.

Blue Is Great

So I've had my blue switch lite for over a week now and I love it. I thought I would be making a bad purchase since the oled has the better screen and upgrades and this is my first switch but I don't regret it. I'm constantly playing metroid dread and its great. I can get about 2 three hour gaming sessions before having to charge it. I do have the screen brightness a little below 50% to get that extra preciousinutes out of the battery. The blue color looks the best, in my opinion, compared to the others. What I really like is that the lite has a dpad while the other models do not. All you need is a screen protector, a case and micro SD card and you good to go. The portability is fantastic and there are accessories that can help with charging away from home. If you can't get your hands on an oled get a lite. You ll save yourself $150 and you can use that to buy a couple of games or a a game and some accessories.

I have owned a Switch since the day of its release. I’m a big fan of the console and the list of available games to play is a mile long. I initially didn’t have any interest in the Switch Light since I had the normal Switch. The original pastel colors of the Switch Light also kind of kept me away. This new blue color made me change my mind. My current Switch rarely leaves the dock, so I figured I can get the Switch Light for traveling and on the go.
The blue color is definitely blue but it has a purple-ish hue in a lower light setting. Purple is my favorite color.
The biggest advantage the Switch Light has over the Switch is the D-pad. Playing older games is much more enjoyable with an actual D-pad. The original Switch uses individual buttons as the D-pad. Build quality also seems to be more solid than the original Switch since the Light is a one piece solid unit. It would be a much better option for small humans.
If you already have a Switch and are looking for a second one to play on the go I highly recommend it. If you want to be able to play games up on your big screen then you will have to shell out a little more dough for the original Switch. The Switch Light has no way of sending video out. You can’t go wrong with either choice, but if you decide to get a Switch Light I would definitely go with the blurple one.

The system is great for those on the go that want the better battery life and great games. I’ve got a launch console and purchased this with the intent of keeping this as the “primary” console and my original one as my home console.
In case you’re wondering the differences are as follows:
-screen and console are smaller in size and weight
-battery is longer lasting
-joy-cons aren’t detachable, they’re built into the system, which means no HD rumble, no IR sensor either
-no kickstand
-not able to be docked, this is a portable only system, but it runs the entire switch library as long as it doesn’t require the system to be docked
-$100 cheaper
That said, if this is a travel only supplement or you never play your system docked, this is the Switch for you. If you need the “switch” part of the switch, and want the freedom to detach the controllers and play the game on a tv, then buy the larger version (just make sure it’s the all red box version as that’s the one with the new battery and more efficient chipset like the lite).

I purchased a Nintendo switch when it came out and unfortunately it bricked on me near the start of Covid19, however I did not want to purchase another one for the hope of getting it fixed later on. When I finally gave in to buying the switch lite it was sold out everywhere, so I kept checking back and finally it was restocked and bought it! I'm loving it so far, I have small hands so holding it feels much better than the regular switch since it's a bit bigger. Funny thing was that my regular switch turned back on the day I received the switch lite lol so now I have two, but for now I've been using the lite because it feels much better in my opinion. If you don't ever want to play on the tv then this switch is for you.

I debated about getting either the regular switch or the Lite. I figured that I’d spend more time on handheld play anyway and I could save $100 going for the Lite, so that’s what I chose. The turquoise color looks amazing in person and the console is a super comfortable texture to hold. I bought it specifically for Animal Crossing New Horizons since we’re all stuck in quarantine right now and I’ve gotta say so far I really love playing on the Switch Lite (as well as the game itself lol)

This new switch lite is an amazing new console Perfect for gaming on the go. slimmer, less expensive version of the standard Switch and one of the best handheld game systems to date.

Great product for the price. While it does lack TV connectivity and a kickstand, the size and weight make it easier to hold for longer periods of time without fatigue setting in.

cute color, very light, does everything i need it to. only complaint is that the device storage is very low, but you can easily purchase an external memory card which fixes this.

I purchased a Nintendo Switch 32GB Lite in this beautiful Blue color for my son who had major surgery and would be hospitalized for almost a week and I felt it would help with his morale while he recovers. It's very lightweight yet still offers the same power he was accustomed to with his regular Switch. Just waiting for the Blue colored case to come out!

This is my 3rd Switch and I have to say that it's the most comfortable handheld version Nintendo has. The picture quality is crisp and vivid. The battery life is comparable. Very portable with a solid construction.

Bought this my Gf as she found the original switch too big. And this one is perfect. I’m even a little envious. It’s difficult to explain but it genuinely feels better to hold. The textured plastic used, the buttons all make it feel sturdier but I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise considering the joy-cons aren’t removable. The smaller screen isn’t an issue, and I would highly recommend this one for gamers with small hands. It has the same performance tech as the other switches just without the ability to switch to a TV.
That said, if you really need the dock/TV playability, then go for the OLED or original.
Great purchase, recommend!

I never thought that I would need a switch lite until now, once I started playing this handheld device I was instantly taken back to when I received a ds for my birthday as a kid. This device is great if you travel a lot because it’s smaller and much more compact than the original switch, but the only downside is the missing addition of the docked play. However, I would definitely recommend this product, especially since it’s $100 cheaper than the switch

This is a perfect gaming console for handheld gaming. If you want to play on your TV the original switch is a better option. However, the option to upgrade storage capacity and being able to play any nintendo game on the go at a lower price point is perfect.

This is a wonderful console. I do kind of wish I bought the pink one instead, though! It's portable and easy to use for small hands. It's also more affordable than the other models. I have a regular Switch with a cracked screen, so I can always use that one in the dock to game on the TV, but I prefer to use this one for the mobility.

Purchase this device for my parents during the Animal Crossing hype. Holds the charge well. It’s a great price compared to the larger regular switch. Compact and light.

Awesome little game console and its super light. I bought this for my sone because he kept kidnapping my oled. He absolutely loves it. I Would reccomend getting an sd card for more storage, i personally think 500gb is fine for most needs.
