Easy to install. My 8 year old twin grandsons love playing games on the Wii U. The game quality is great especially the Mario game included with the console purchase. Exciting and a lot of fun!

I was skeptical about purchasing this system as we already had the Wii and Xbox 1, but extremely happy i made the purchase. All Wii games/controllers are forward compatible. The gamepad console is awesome in that the kids can play video games without the tv being on at all, or adults can watch something else entirely. I like how the sounds of the game are able to come thru the gamepad controller if desired. Skylanders and Disney Infinity are big hits as well.

This system is a of fun and the selection of games is great. Mario Kart is fun and entertains a large crowd.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my 11 yr old son. He would play it all day if I allowed it; he loves every detail! He already had the wil as well as xbox 360. This is superior to either. Bonus was the Mario Kart pre-loaded -- even 50 yr old mom got in on the action racing. I used a coupon from my rewards credit card via Best Buy (plus special financing) and also purchased the gamer's club, which allowed me to get deals on additional games. Great buy!

Definitely a great buy! The games are great and there's a large selection of them out for this console. You can do tons more than just play Wii U games, you can play original Wii games, watch Netflix and YouTube, and download games for retro Nintendo consoles. The best thing about this is that you don't have to pay for online service like you do for Xbox. One game I would recommend for this console that is a must have is Super Smash Bros!

I LOVE my Wii...I'm an avid gamer of sorts...Mainly computer games. I LOVE this system, it brings so much interactive fun into our household. The games look amazing, the system was well thought out. I have NO complaints other than I wish I had more time to play it. If you get a Wii U, make SURE you purchase Splatoon. BEST game for the WII U in my opinion!

I wanted to purchase this for my 6-year old son for the holidays as his big gift. We had a Wii that stopped functioning after a few years of play during the cold winter months when playing outside isn't an option. He was thrilled, and since we hooked it up (easier than I was expecting it to be), we've had a lot of fun playing! He loves using the mini-pad. MarioKart 8 is a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to getting Splatoon for him, soon.

Wii u is a great system. Highly underrated. Great games. Any nintendo fan will love it.

Our family loves this system. The controller is easy for my daughter to operate and enough action games to keep the adults happy. I just wish the accessories and games were a bit less expensive.

Great game, my family is having fun playing this game everyday. Highly recommend it!!! Finally our little dog can have a break from my kids and their friends while visiting us. I purchased many remotes so multiple guests could play at the same time...this has decreased the time kids spent on the iPad in their rooms. Awesome experience.

I really like what Nintendo has done with the tablet-style controller, although I wish it would come with two. I did not know that the old Wii controllers were compatible with WiiU (I've been told they are, but I haven't verified) so I had to buy a second controller. I did like the option of the X-Box style controller that's available for the WiiU, it made the transition from X-Box 360 to WiiU easier for my kids

I got this package (Mario Kart 8 plus WiiU) for xmas for my kids (7 year old girl and 2.5 year old boy). They love it, but I do too! Don't forget to download the "extras" there is a code in the box for the extra downloads don't throw it away! We also got Mario U and it reminds me of old school Mario when I was a kid. I don't play video games so I wasn't expecting to like it but the whole family has fun with it!

Just as stated, its a fun system but there arn't that many games for this system. The Wii U really marketed more for kids with development of some games such as Skylander or all those other games that make you buy those little figure things. As a casual gamer I don't find myself playing this system too often and it mostly gathers dust on my shelf... if you do have the spare money to spend on it id recommend it but if you are trying to buy a system and you are only going to buy one then i'd look at PS4 or Xbox 1

We debated for months on the best gaming system for our 4 year old. We finally got the Wii U and LOVE IT! He can play on the touch pad while we watch a TV show or we can all play on the TV. We have it set up in our living room and I can even take the touch pad into my room and play games in bed. Awesome for all ages.

Had a choice of purchasing Xbox One, PS4, or Wii U and chose to go with the Wii U. Definitely a good gaming system for younger kids. I would say fun for all ages. I like that you can purchase some of the classic Nintendo games via download. The tablet is a very cool feature as well. However, the game selections are not as good as PS4 or Xbox One. The tablet does not work with all games too. You have to purchase respected controllers for particular games. I would recommend this console as a family system. In all I enjoy playing the Wii U. Definitely lots of features that will keep you entertained for hours of fun.
