I bought this for my dad as a late Christmas gift. My husband is active duty military and we are stationed on the other side of the country. My mom passed away two weeks before Christmas suddenly. My dad was very hard on himself that he didn’t have photos to play of my family at the service. That stuck with me and I wanted to get him a photo book. But like many things these days, photo books are usually thrown in a drawer. I was nervous about buying this frame because I’ve never had one. I can one hundred percent say that he cried when he set it up. He said it fit perfectly on their sofa table, the app took zero effort to use, and the picture quality was amazing. Hats off to whoever designed this frame. I’m very selective about electronics and I would buy a dozen more.

Great frame with great graphics. My kids find it easy to send pics, which is cool. I love being surprised by what they send over! I would love if it had a bigger screen, but that's on me for picking this size. Very easy to set up and use.

Got this as a gift for my mother who live across country when my son was born. It was a bit difficult for her to get setup, but was able to get it figured out with some brief troubleshooting. She says the picture quality is very good and it even allows for short videos. The app is pretty straightforward.

A digital picture frame will have you constantly living your greatest memories with the family. It’s nice to have one near the dinner table or living room that is constantly cycling through your massive photo library so when you happen to glance it’s different each time. Got this for me but gifting seemed easy as anyone in your family can be invited to upload photos.

Fantastic gift for a loved one. Worth the price IMO, the app makes it simple to upload pictures. Resolution is satisfactory and touch screen is bright and responsive. It's aesthetically pleasing and most of all, the wife loves it.

Works great. I wish there was an option to load pics from usb instead of relying on their service but it does work well and setup was easy.

I honestly felt digital picture frames were passé but this Nixplay digital picture frame won me over with it’s stylish contemporary design and large, bright, and vivid display. It fits in nicely among our living room furnishings and doesn’t look dated as I initially feared. The frame is easy to setup, is powered by an AC power adapter and must be added to local wifi before it can pair with the app. I could not find any Bluetooth option, only wifi. The app also allows searching for the frame via the serial number. Once the frame is located, it is added to the Nixplay account. The Nixplay mobile app is available in both major app stores and requires an account creation prior to use. The app allows content sharing with up to ten people and adding up to five frames per account. I opted for the free account option which provides 10GB of cloud space for photos. It’s sufficient for my needs and not bad if only using one frame and a moderate amount of photos. Monthly, quarterly and annual paid subscription options are also available as in-app purchases if needed. The app also allows adding photos from Google Photos, Dropbox, Facebook and Instagram. As I shared above, the 10.1” HD IPS touchscreen display is vivid and bright. Photos look nice and rich on the screen. The WXGA HD resolution is suitable for the 10.1” screen size and media is displayed with good detail and clarity. The display auto-rotates and can be used in either landscape or portrait mode. Media does not look bland or washed out like I’ve observed in some lower quality frames. The slideshow presentation allows a choice of 11 different transition effects or it can be set to random. Transition speed between media can also be adjusted. The display does a good job of highlighting the important areas of a photo such as faces. The pan, tilt, zoom, and transitions work cohesively together to create a much more entertaining and immersive experience than static photos with simple fades into the next. Both photos and videos can be uploaded and displayed as well as sound. Users can even add captions to photos that are displayed along with the photos. JPEG, PNG, MPEG, MP4, and MOV media are all recognized formats. HEIC from iOS devices is also recognized but HEIC photos are converted to JPEG during the upload process. The frame can be set to sleep on set schedules and wake when it senses activity. The Nixplay frame does not offer any local storage option like SD card slots or built-in memory. Uploading to the cloud and syncing with the frame is the only option for adding media. It seems to be designed with more of a social multi-user mindset rather than single user. I’m not particularly fond myself of uploading every aspect of my life to a remote server somewhere in the world but love it or hate it, that’s the way more and more products and services are heading. Nixplay claims uploaded content is encrypted and GDPR and CCPA compliant. This frame is great if a social minded user but not so great for those craving maximum privacy. One last thing I felt worth mentioning is that Nixplay pledges to plant a tree for every frame sold. I like the gesture, even if the frames aren’t themselves necessarily biodegradable or environmentally friendly. At least Nixplay is giving back to the environment in some fashion.

Have had this setup now a little over a week and my kids are loving it. They like being able to see the pictures changing every 15 to 20 seconds of themselves as well as our other family. They also like the fact that they can like or favorite something and I see it when I go into the app to upload more pictures to it. Out of the box and set up was probably 5 to 10 minutes. Downloaded the app created a profile and logged it in to be able to start uploading photos within minutes. One key feature I like about this frame versus other digital photo frames I've had in the past is the ability to upload video as well. Granted your capped at about 15 seconds unless you pay for the premium service so it's still cool to see a short video clip on the frame. I haven't decided at this point if paying the premium membership is worth it to be able to upload longer video clips. For now I'll just keep editing them down to capture the few seconds I want to see and if that is good then I won't need to pay for the additional service. Overall very happy with the look and design of this frame compared to others we have owned in the past. Photos upload quickly and the quality is very good. Kids like being able to swipe though them faster and can also change various speed settings within the app based on your preference.

This smart photo frame has checked all of the "must have" boxes for me in terms of quality. Only picture frames required a thumb drive to upload picture and treated the frame it self as a storage device. New frames, like this one simply act as a passthrough to the cloud or companion app which is where all of the pictures are stored and added for future viewing. This frame is by far the lightest frame I have ever seen or owned. It is very thin too which adds to its elegant look. A neat feature that this frame has too is a wall mount on the back for hanging, my old frame did not come with this option. The frame itself it widescreen opposed to most which test to be more square like, the ratio is a true wide screen layout. The companion app is pretty standard as to what is expected in the adding pics process and works with every major smart device management software. It also is wifi enabled so no more needing to align with plug-ins throughout your home, this was expected by me but I was unsure if hardwired options even exist anymore. All in all, if you are looking for a neat way to stay up to date with your photo viewing options then I would recommend this smart frame as an option as it is very simple to manage, upload and maneuver.

real nice.. plays clear pictures and videos.. stand up easy set up easy. but it says u can set a time to turn on/off still cant find it how to make it work.. beside that its good great find for anyone , u can even send a link to anyone so they can add pictures/videos

It's been great for my Mom and Grandmother to stay connected with my family since we are across the nation. We update as necessary and she gets to see all the new baby pictures almost instantly.

Bought for family members to send mom pictures from anywhere. Works great once you get it set up, didn’t go as smooth as planned. Works great once its set up and best part no monthly fees to use like other brands

It’s so very easy to set up it’s almost criminal. Beautiful display. Only ding is the 5Gb limit; so very easy to eat that up.

Plays videos with sound which is awesome, photos look good and the app is easier to use than most. If you need a relatively affordable option, this would be a great choice.
