--- Installation--- The installation of Norton 360 for Gamers was quick and effortless. I just went to the indicated website, typed the code given to me, and it automatically downloaded the software to install. The option to install to up to two other devices (a total of 3) was also seamless. To do that, just log in to your Norton account (you’ll have to create a free one if you don't already have one) on your second and third device and download the software again. --- FEATURES --- This anti-virus program is meant to cater to the gaming audiences. As such, this software features Dark Web Monitoring powered by LifeLock for gamertags and other personal information, Secure VPN to protect against DDoS and doxxing attempts, PC SafeCam which notifies you if someone is trying to use you webcam without your authorization, a password manager, parental controls, 50 GBs of cloud backup, and more. --- PERFORMANCE --- The performance of this anti-virus program has been optimal so far. It was easy to schedule things to happen automatically on times when I have my computer on but I’m not using it. If you do a full scan, you have the option for Norton to turn off your computer upon completion. Dark Web Monitoring was an interesting and intriguing feature. You have the option to enter your personal information such as your phone #, credit card #s, physical addresses, emails, insurance #s, Gamertags, a driver’s license, and your mother’s maiden name. Doing so will run a one time historical dark web check to see if your information has been leaked or is at risk based on what’s already out there of yours. I had 7 Dark Web Alerts that showed me what website exposed my information, what kind of information of mine was exposed, and the potential next steps I could take. Indeed, these were websites I accessed years ago and I didn’t remember, but luckily, they were all based on data that is now irrelevant. VPN works like a charm allowing me to select the location that I want to be publicly seen as. I set my IP address to an Italian location. To test it, I went to Yelp to try to order delivery to me based on location and it opened up Yelp in Italian. Easiest VPN I’ve ever used. The password manager syncs up with your existing password manager, if any. For me, it has been synching up with my free Google Password manager. Google’s password manager isn’t that secure, as a quick Google search can help you download a user’s website and passwords into an excel file (I’ve done it for myself when I lost data from one computer to another). Norton requires you to type a Parent Password that they clearly tell you they will not store for you. This parent password can then be used to log into websites you frequent by typing the one password. It’s an extra step, sure, but definitely more secure. If you’re a parent, you can use the parental controls to see what devices have logged into what websites. To do this, you have to install Norton 360 in their device, say a phone, and after the installation is complete, you can then monitor the device's activities. You can choose the level of security you want, such as moderate or high, based on the age of the child. --- EXPECTATIONS --- The product meets my expectations with one caveat. As a gamer, I played games on Xbox GamePass for PC, Steam, and Epic Games Store. I was looking to see how a gamer-unique feature would work, but I didn’t see it in action. This feature is part of their notification optimization (only works on Windows). The way the feature should work is that Norton would tell you if you aren’t using a feature you’re entitled to. This would include free DLC or other things available for your game. I didn’t find a way to activate this manually, but it could also be that I wasn’t entitled to anything from my existing games. That, however, is a minor thing compared to the rest of the features. One last thing I want to mention is that, with other malware/virus protection products, they usually push other services of theirs on you. In fact, most of the time, in other products, the VPN is an extra premium feature they want you to pay for. In this case, the VPN works like a charm. If you’ve never used a VPN before, what it does is tell people on the internet that your location is somewhere other than where you actually are. With a quick Turn On/Off button, it doesn’t get any easier. If you want, you can change the region to a specific location. --- VALUE --- The price for Norton 360 for Gamers is a good value because this specific product covers 3 devices for one full year. --- APPROVAL --- I highly recommend this product for gamers who are streamers and want an added level of protection. If you aren’t a gamer, the dark web monitoring feature and the VPN are great tools anyone with a computer and internet could benefit from.

As a longtime Norton user, setting up Norton 360 for Gamers was pretty easy. After receiving the activation code, I just had to log into my Norton account and enter the activation code (but it's simple enough to sign up for an account if you don't already have one). Then I downloaded and installed the software which only took a few minutes. Keep in mind that the subscription only covers 3 devices at a time, and once you install the software it consumes one of that allotment. However, you can remove the license from your device and transfer it to a new device by managing the subscription in your account. After installation, the Norton software dashboard provides you quick access to the software suite's features like file scanning, Dark Web monitoring alerts, secure VPN, cloud backup, parental controls and password manager, which is managed mostly in your browser. The Gamer version of the Norton 360 software suppresses all but the most critical of notifications, so you won't get pop-up notifications during gameplay to interrupt your flow unless you're actively at risk or under attack. This coupled with fewer running background tasks means the AV software isn't taking up valuable computing resources and bogging down your system while gaming. I didn't find any significant degradation in performance while gaming on my systems where I had the software installed and monitoring turned on. In testing the secure VPN's performance, I found no evidence of IP or DNS leaks that would expose the device’s connection, and since it has unlimited bandwidth, this helps prevent IPS data throttling and issues with lag while gaming. I especially liked the option of monitoring my gamer tags (up to 10) on the Dark Web, so I can be alerted in order to stop or mitigate the damage if my accounts are compromised or stolen. You can elect to monitor more information on the Dark Web like bank accounts, credit cards, phone numbers, addresses, driver's license, e-mail, mother's maiden name and even insurance policies. Just note that without an extended LifeLock plan, Norton doesn't cover identity theft remediation. If you setup the "Privacy Monitor" feature, Norton will use the name, address, and birth date you provide to scan data broker sites that may have your information displayed publicly and help you opt-out of having your information on their sites. However, you can only provide one name and address combination at a time, so you won't be able to use this feature for additional family members or if you want to track multiple people or addresses. The password manager tool is decent. It's able to generate strong passwords and even allows you to import password stored elsewhere, like on your Chrome or Firefox browser or other third-party service like LastPass. You do have to remember your master "Vault" password though and ensure it is kept in a safe place. You can add logins, credit cards to your digital wallet, and addresses. All these can be accessed on your smartphone too, using the analogous mobile app. The accompanying browser extension can help you auto-populate login information for stored sites, and you can even require the vault password to be entered prior to performing this action for each login. The 360 Gamer subscription comes with 50 GB of online backup storage, though you can purchase more if you need it. Just remember that you'll need to renew your subscription each year if you want to maintain access to your data over the long term, but there's also an auto-renew feature for that to keep things seamless. Overall, I feel that Norton 360 for Gamers provides me security and peace of mind that my devices are protected from malicious software and attacks while preserving a smooth gameplay experience. If ever one of your protected devices does falls victim to an infection, Norton’s Virus Protection Promise offers free remote removal services by one of their support techs or a refund if the infection can't be removed.

    Comprehensive and excellent internet security

This Norton internet security system is the best because it is really comprehensive and valuable. There is an increase of articles about cyberattacks, and now attackers are looking at gamers. Gamers interact with many people online, which increases the possibility of getting attackers who want to take advantage to get gaming accounts to sell them on the black market. Gamers and I included use hundreds or even thousands of dollars on games, such as World of Warcraft, Fortnite skins, Steam or Epic library, Twitch, Discord, and others. Norton has a tone of features to protect gamers. Its Dark Web Monitoring functions by placing a gamer’s identity on Norton’s System. Norton will monitor the dark web to see if any of your information is part of a breach or they are being mentioned in the dark web. If the system detects something, it sends a notification alert. After I activated my Norton account, I received a couple of notifications that old accounts from various sites had a breach. The notification had information of what was breached, such as the site, the login ID, and even the password used. After this, I made some changes and deactivated some things I no longer use. What is great about this is that Norton monitors your gaming information on the dark web. It also does the same on email addresses, online accounts, financial information, and other personal information. I feel like this Dark Web Monitoring feature definitely makes Norton the best internet security system. A major issue with other internet security is the interruption of security notifications while playing a game. What Norton for Gamer does is that it just places important notifications into a log file. If something gets downloaded while playing and Norton deems it safe, the notification will be placed on the log file. You won’t get a pop-up notification while using the full-screen mode because all notifications are being saved in the background. You will only get a notification when you are currently under a cyber-attack by, or someone is trying to hack your computer. On the other hand, you will get a notification if there is a security issue; for example, if something gets downloaded and has an infection, you don’t want to miss this type of notification and want to take immediate action. Another included feature is VPN, which is great when accessing personal information or steaming to prevent exposure and secure privacy online. This included is huge because you don’t need to buy a VPN service from another vendor; you are getting it all together. I use Norton’s cloud storage feature to store many non-gaming files to save room on my pace drive. My hard drive is no longer cluttered, and I have more free space to install more games. Norton includes the SafeCam feature, which sends a notification when a program starts to use your camera. You definitely want to get these alerts, especially when you never requested a program to access a camera. These were some highlights of Norton’s security features for games, and it also includes other features, such as parental control, safe search and password manager. The included password manager is excellent because having good passwords is extremely hard to keep track of. To conclude, this Norton 360 for Gamers is excellent, and it is an all-in-one place. A very comprehensive internet security system.

Pros: - Simple Installation/Ease of Use: Understanding software can be intimidating. The guides found in each feature subset is sufficient and descriptive enough to give me the information I need to know when making decisions. - No slowdowns: My day-to-day use was not disrupted by unnecessary alerts and popups. - Mobile protection: Not only can you provide defense for your computer, but mobile devices are supported as well. - Complete and instant protection: I’ve had information stolen before, and Norton instantly reported back to me of compromised passwords and personal information. This is critical to having complete security for your devices. - Ability to monitor different types of information: Although there is support for only 3 devices, I was able to add monitoring to multiple email addresses, phone numbers, payment details, and various private information. I’m not a hardcore gamer, but it was nice to know that there's monitoring for my gamer tags while being behind VPN protection also. Cons: - Support for limited number of devices: Support for 3 devices is not enough in my opinion. The average home has more than 4 mobile devices. I believe the number should be increased to 5. - Cloud Backup Small: You’re only allotted 50 GB worth of information to backup. It would be nice for a bump in storage allotment. This product is a great way to safeguard valuable and sensitive information. Although this is marketed for gamers, all users can expect to receive essential protection no matter their need.

As a Tech Insider Network member I get to try a lot of products I normally would not be interested in - and a paid anti-virus subscription rates pretty high on that list. However, I was intrigued about the "for Gamers" branding as well as the included VPN that comes with this Norton 360 package. I took the plunge and installed it on 3 devices - my gaming desktop, my personal laptop, and my android phone (VPN only there). TL;dr: This is a really great product if you want something totally unobtrusive that will protect your PC. The add-ins make for a nice value, but the VPN seems a little slow. What I found is that Norton 360 is completely transparent and unobtrusive in day to day use. I am somewhat shocked to say that in 7 days of use I have never seen it give me a useless notification or annoyance - no "xx days since your last scan" or "no problems found. remember to renew!" It just does the job and doesn't bother you about it. It really works much like the included AV in windows (defender), and that isn't a bad thing at all. I certainly trust Norton to be up to date with the latest security needs a bit more than the free AV in Windows, so removing the annoying notifications is a great improvement for the Norton 360 suite. Norton 360 for Gamers includes some additional values like a VPN, password manager, and LifeLock protection. I have not used the password manager and lifelock as I have other tools for those purposes, but I have made good use of the VPN in the week I've had the product installed. Usually, I make sure to use OpenVPN to my home router when I am using open wifi, and I was really interested in how well Norton's VPN would work for my general needs. I found that it does a great job, speeds are significantly faster than my homebrew VPN (which is limited by xfinity's awful upload speeds). Still, on a gigabit connection I was dropping to 200mbit down and 60mbit upload, so there's room for improvement. That VPN speed, plus the fact this suite only works for 3 devices (and it counts my android phone towards the limit even though I'm only using the VPN), are why I can't give this a full 5 stars despite being genuinely pleased with the main antivirus component.

Before this, I hadn't used Norton software in years. In fact, I had relied on the built-in Windows security protections and haven't really used any third party anti-virus software since maybe the early 2000s. My main PC is used almost exclusively for gaming and I have always worried that anti-virus software would slow down system performance and impact gaming. I was happy to see that Norton 360 has virtually zero impact on my PC performance and has plenty of useful features. I just wish there was an easier way to access all of the features in one place. As it is, you have to rely on a combination of the Norton 360 dashboard as well as the Norton website to get your money's worth from this product. PROS: - Installation and account creation are straightforward with the product key that is emailed to you. Just beware of the automatic renewal option when you sign up (more on this below). - Norton 360 for Gamers is basically a souped-up version of North 360 Deluxe. The main difference is that this Gamers edition offers "PC Notification Optimization" so you won't be disturbed by warnings or notifications while gaming. In my testing, it seems to work - I did not receive any pop-ups or notifications from Norton while in games. - Another unique feature is dark web monitoring for gamertags which is valuable if you have gaming accounts with valuable in-game content or characters. You can also monitor for bank accounts, credit cards, driver's licenses, etc. All of this is set up via the Norton website. - Norton 360 seems to run nice and quiet in the background and rarely bugs me during normal day-to-day activities. The few notifications I've seen have been legitimate warnings about malicious sites. It has recognized all of my frequently used applications as legitimate and automatically allowed Internet access an webcam access where necessary. - Like Norton 360 Deluxe, this package includes a ton of features, some more useful than others: a VPN, 50 GB of cloud backup storage, a password manager, parental controls, and more. All of these work well and are great options if you do not currently subscribe to other services with these features. CONS: - Beware of the automatic renewal when first registering. It might seem like a good option, but it will basically lock you in to the full retail price when your first year is up. You'll almost certainly be able to find a cheaper price than what the automatic renewal offers before your first year ends. - Norton 360 for Gamers only offers protection for 3 devices, while the Deluxe version can protect 5 devices for basically the same price. Unless you really value the "PC Notification Optimization" feature or the gamertag dark web monitoring, you should probably stick with the Deluxe version (unless there is a crazy good sale on the Gamers version). - There are a ton of features included with this software package, but some of them are hard to find and manage. For example, all of the dark web monitoring features are set up and managed through Norton.com. The main Norton 360 software window has no mention of this feature; you can only find it by clicking on "Launch My Norton." Similarly, the VPN feature cannot be turned on or off through the main Norton 360 window. It, too, can only be accessed through the "My Norton" section which requires a few extra clicks. I wish Norton would consolidate everything into one screen or one menu. OVERALL: Norton 360 for Gamers is a great option for virtually anyone -- even tech-savvy users and gamers. Don't be scared of it impacting your system performance or gaming sessions. It certainly offers more protection than the built-in Windows security and has a ton of useful features to keep your data safe. I just wish these features were a bit easier to access from a single place. I almost wish buyers could customize the features they want and the ones they don't, especially for those who already have other services for backups or password management. Regardless, this is still a great value. Recommended!

Norton 360 for Gamers is a rebrand for the AV family. You get everything Norton 360 is known for regarding 0protection against viruses, malware, DDoS, doxxing, webcam takeovers, phishing attacks, and more. Installation and setup were fast and easy. It follows many of the typical online subscription installations. You login with your online account info, download the installation package, and activate your device. I just went to the indicated website, typed the code given to me, and it automatically downloaded the software to install. The option to install up to two other devices (a total of 3) was also seamless. To do that, just log in to your Norton account (you’ll have to create a free one if you don't already have one) on your second and third devices and download the software again. The only thing I did not like was the attempted force to auto-renew at the beginning. You can just click the "X" to get around this. Performance and protection are solid, it detected the viruses I tested on my thumb drive without slowing the PC down with heavy resource use. Files were stopped and either deleted or quarantined as usual when executing and it caught the files during the scan prior to execution. I can say this is solid protection WHILE CONNECTED TO INTERNET as scanning is more limited without data connectivity to Norton servers. While testing performance/protection I noticed this is HEAVILY reliant on internet connectivity. You will get a "Limited Scan" notification as Norton requires the internet to run a comprehensive scan… this can be good or bad depending on the scenario. VPN worked and didn't slow down traffic too much. User experience and UI still need lots of work. I am not a fan of the dashboard implementation. There are essentially two different dashboards needed to use the software and additional features. The normal "security" is on the main dashboard while you have to click "My Norton" to get access to the "Gamer" functionality. You can set up to default to either dashboard or "view" but will need to go to both at some point. This two window setup is quite annoying in an environment where gamers already have lots of tabs. I wish Norton and other companies offered a way to customize modules to show/hide within the program. If you want to use this just for antivirus, you should be able to disable the password manager, VPN, cloud services, etc. from showing and cluttering the experience. Most people will already be using another vendor for most of those and will not want to see a cluttered dashboard. I also understand you want to show many features as well so I get it. STANDOUT FEATURES -PC Notification Optimization - blocks notifications. Essentially it uses "focus mode" to block notifications like you are in presenting mode. -Lightweight Efficient Resource Use - this strikes the perfect balance of resources and performance. There is definitely cloud computing happening here. AREAS TO IMPROVE -Auto-Renew with CC at installation - people do not want to feel forced into "auto-renew" IMMEDIATELY after installation - classic Norton move though. -Flatten UI/Streamline User Experience - the dashboard/program feels unfinished and not completely integrated. You need to go to "My Norton" to access VPN, Parental Controls, Password Manager, and Dark Web Monitoring only to click "open" next to Device Security to go back to the other "dashboard" or AV program. In other parts, you are sent to a web browser to view info on your Norton account page. -"Dark Web" monitoring service - this seems to be more of a gimmick. I am 100% sure my information is out there on the Dark Web. The OPM data breach, the Targets, Home Depots, Sony data breaches, etc. this service does not show anything from some of these hacks dating back to 2006. It only shows the "My FitnessPal" password potentially being compromised back in 2019 but leaves out a plethora of other apps with data breaches. I wouldn't feel too safe with this and wouldn't advertise it as a service to provide a false sense of protection. In a nutshell, you have Norton 360 Deluxe (for 3 devices rather than 5) and PC notification blocking (a feature Win10 offers called Focus Assist) all packaged and rebranded towards gamers using the LifeLock side of things. It works but I am only recommending it as Anti-Virus software and nothing more. Get it and you won't be disappointed!

I've been using Norton360 for years. Decided to try the for gamers version this year. Was on sale and was cheaper per seat than the normal 5 user copy. Plus, I only needed 3 copies. As usual, Norton installs very easily, no issues. You manage the licenses on the website, and everything else on your local machine. Included all the normal features plus a new one to mine for crypto, but I haven't turned that on yet. Have had no issues with security or protection of my computers, and I use the preemptive dark web tools to help me change passwords and such when it looks like sites I've used have be compromised and could affect my data.

Great price. It comes with alot of features. The cloud backup is a nice feature I didn’t really care too much about during purchase but has been nice. I was interested in the game optimization but haven’t really noticed any difference with my games. Overall I enjoy it and depending on the price at renewal I would get it again.

The gamer aspect of this hasn't really served me too much, but it is a nice little touch. The product is easy to use and was a great value for a discounted price. I'd recommend to a PC and mobile user without a lot of devices. If you want to share this with a family though, you probably want one with more devices covered.

Excellent product and got it at a very good discount. I’m not a fan of the requirement of having a card on file but you do have the option to cancel before the year ends. Will more than likely purchase again
