If your child wants to be a DJ this product is the way to go. Use a IPOD touch GEN 4 purchase DJAY App by algorithim for $.99, create music list and away your child goes. My grandson used it at my wife 50th party and he was a hit.

I just started djing so I was looking for something cheaper that could get me started and this idjlive was it! It works great, easy to transport and it's a lot of fun to use. I highly recommend it

Don't waste your money! When you try to connect it never connects immediately. In my opinion you would do better just using the screen.

Very good device for doing mixes. A lot larger in working area than trying to use the iPad screen. Would have liked to see it as an optionally powered device, and to have the turntables actually spin along with the songs. The slider bar is a little awkward, as it also does not slide automatically when you have the automix feature on, so you will be playing track "A" when the slider is in the track "B" position. Other than those few quirks (or irks) a very solid accessory for your iPad.

Not meant for the professional DJ but a good starter for those beginning or seasoned. Its portable and you can take it anywhere and DJ a small party. A couple things that I dont like about it is that it doesnt have a power source its powered by the ipad, so make sure your ipad is fully charged. The other is that it doesnt have a USB port to be able to connect an external hard drive for more music. I have a real extensive music collection but unfortunatley I cant fit all of it on my ipad.

My son loves this product. It is simple, inexpensive and user friendly. I would recommend to anyone who has kids.

Check the Numark and Algoriddim forums and search for IDJLive and IOS 6. You'll find every other user who has this and upgraded to ios6 immediately lost functionality. Numark has refused to give refunds and claims that a fix is on the way but this has not been working since Sept 5. For the $$ it is a fun product. It's made with cheap plastic but again for $99 you shouldnt expect anything different. What is disappointing is that it stopped working completely with ios 6. This is the worst product ever. I bought this and they never told me that this does not work with ios 6. They are lieing and they shouldn't even sell this product. I personally never buy NUMARK EVER AGAIN.
