This system is well worth paying the extra dough for. I initially had my eyes on the IDJ3, but then when Best Buy started selling the Mixdeck, I immediately changed my mind. The system also came with a free pair of Koss headphones, which aren't too bad at all. This system is perfect for first-time DJ's like myself. You can do anything with this package that you can do with a regular two-turntable and mixer set, except mix vinyl of course. My only complaint is the ipod capability. You can only play the ipod, you can't mix, use effects, trim control, nothing. However that is why you have the other mixing stations, because they can play CD and external memory source, which is why I purchased this and not the IDJ3. If you purchase this instrument, I HIGHLY recommend you purchase a few flash drives as they've proved to be very helpful for mixing.

Im a starting DJ and been going to best buy weekly to try this out for 2 weeks straight until I finally purchased it. It is very easy to use and you can play your Ipod on it only thig is you cannot mix it. Other than that its great and use it daily

THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS THE DOWNLODING THE SOFTWARE TO THE COMPUTER WITH THE CD THAT BROUGHT THE BOX OF VIRTUAL DJ

I have been checking out this package for a while now. yesterday I went down to Best Buy to purchase this. They happened to have one unboxed and I asked the guy to hook it up. He was in the process already and all we had to do was put my iPhone on the dock. Well I had thought that you would be able to mix using your iPod but you cannot. You cannot bend a pitch, scratch, loop, or anything. On the Numark Mixdeck think of the iPod as a recording device. All you could do was premix at home on your laptop and Mixdeck (while recording it on your iPod) and then take it with you so all you had to do was play it but who wants to do that! Numark gets an EPIC FAIL on this one!!! Maybe next year?
