I bought this card a month or so ago and it is one of the best I have ever had. I upgraded from a GTS 450 by Galaxy to this and I am completely satisfied. It is powerful and it will run every game at max settings with no stutter. I do recommend to buy this with a good processor because the combination of the two makes it unbeatable. I mostly play Guitar Hero 3 on the PC and with Vertical Sync enabled I get a constant 60FPS with no lag, but I play with V-Sync disabled to where it gives me 800+FPS. I love this card so far, no problems at all.
-Compatible with Direct X 11
-Comes with a DVI to VGA converter piece
-Great Price Tag
-Will run any game at highest resolution and max graphics settings
-OUTSTANDING card comboed with the AMD Phenom II x6 processor
-Easily Overclocked
I recommend this card to any gamer if you want an amazing graphics
card
PS: If you are going to purchase this card, I recommend you buy aftermarket products.
You don't want to try to run this card on a bad Power Supply Unit and bad Motherboard. Don't use PSU's and Mobo's that are from a Pre-built system such as they ones you buy at Wal-Mart or BestBuy or anywhere else, buy your things separate and have a professional put it together if you are uncomfortable in doing so. This card is powerful and needs a good amount of power.

Just bought this card 3 days ago from the local best buy after exchanging a laptop I didn't like. Buying an alienware(and yes I know they are overpriced, I just love the aesthetics) laptop instead, HOWEVER back to the point. I have been putting this card through the paces so far and its dominated everything thrown at it. I upgraded from a Nvidia GT8500 512MB card(seriously needed upgrading). So far it has ran these games on completely maxed settings; Anti-aliasing and everything.
-Batman: AA GOTY
-COD: Black Ops
-RIFT
-Everquest II
-Dead Space 2
-Mass Effect 2
-Crysis
-Darksiders
Pros: Easy install if you have ever installed PC components(just plugs in to PCI-E slot and two PCI-E 8pin power connectors), Amazing performance, 3 year warranty directly from Nvidia, looks nice, price isn't terrible for the performance you get, runs really cool for the power and not very loud at all.
Cons: Large card but its to be expected(need big case and motherboard if you're planning to run in SLI)((No need to SLI at this point IMHO))
Built PC: AMD Phenom II X4 BE(Deneb Core) 3.2GHz OC'd to 3.6GHz
8GB DDR3 1600Mhz
Nvidia GTX 460 1GB GDDR5(core clocked)
Asus Cool'N'Quiet Motherboard 785G series
320GB SATA for Windows 7 OS and games, 2TBx2 for Data Storage

Sometimes you have to splurge

I was looking for a graphics card for Call of Duty Black OPs. I like to run at 1920x1200 with anti-aliasing. I like Nvidia over ATI due to Linux compatibility. I liked three things about this card: (1) real Nvidia card, not an OEM like Galaxy or PNY or eVGA, (2) GTX 460 vs GTS 450 (despite numbering, 460 is big step up), (3) 1 GB (some gtx460s are 768MB). I know the other OEMs offer gtx460s at cheaper prices, but I liked the idea of a 'real' nvidia PCA design. The packaging alone showed the quality of this purchase. Anyway, the results are outstanding and I get 90 fps at 1920x1200 in COD:BO with qualities turned all the way up (with the latest updates to BO). Wow. Sometimes you have to splurge and sometimes it is worth it. The only downside is that has special power connectors, and on first try it smoked my 450W power supply. I bought a 600W Thermaltake PS (which I like equally well), it has the special connectors for the card, and no problems since then. Compatibility on WinXP and proprietary nvidia drivers under Ubuntu 10.10 is excellent. Performance is outstanding.

I bought a HP p6774y Phenom II X4, 6GB, 1-TB Drive. I upgraded the Power supply, Put in a Blue-Ray Recorder/Player, Put in a second 1-TB drive, Got a second LED Monitor. I upgraded the Video card to the Nvidia GTX 460. Now I use two monitors. ( May add a third for games.)
I almost bought the PNY GTX 460, but got the Nvidia 460 because it has all the features that the others do not have. The GPU handles all video formats which the PNY and other do not. I feel the more work the GPU can take from the CPU will make for a faster computer.
My Blue-ray movies look even better. My Video work is faster. I reinstalled some games & now I run them at max settings. They look pretty cool. Spend the extra bucks & get this card.
Word to the wise. Do not throw anything away.
Best buy installed my Power Supply. Got the Power supply box back with my old power supply in it. I set it aside. When I tried to install the this Video card, there was no power plugs for this card. So I dropped it off at Best buy to install. They called and said they needed the extra power cables from Power supply they had installed . I thought I had thrown in away. Found the box in the garage and at the bottom of the box was the new power cables. I was saved from a lot of grief.
This card is amazing. But be sure you uninstall the old drivers before adding any new vidieo card.

This video card has exceeded all expectations! I love PC gaming and after coming to the realization that my system was getting....well a bit slow for newer games, I decided to take some advice from the online community. Given my system specs, they suggested that I would see the biggest improvement while spending the least ammount of money by upgrading my video card. Sure enough, after just minutes of running todays latest games like World of Warcraft, Starcraft II, and Battlefield Bad Company 2, I could see my frames per second were more consistant at around 45 or so. This was a HUGE upgrade from my old Nvidia 8800 GT which kept me at around 25-30! Great choice!

My graphics look great in every game that I own. I cannot wait to play some of the newer games coming out that will take advantage of the newest technology, especially Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3.
Card required a power supply upgrade but that was expected. No biggie there.
If you want a powerful graphics card that will last for years, get this one. Probably 1 year from now I may get another one when the price drops and run an SLI or Crossfire setup.

For some time now, I've been successfully using the Nvidia GTX460 in my gaming PC. It runs (or did run) WoW, my primary game, in full ultra settings and never drops below 20 fps, even in heavy movement content. Unfortunately, I've recently had the displeasure of dealing with the "black screen" error that so many others have had.
Read more about that here: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=187401&st=0
Don't get me wrong, the card is great when it works, but there's so many compatibility issues that Nvidia just hasn't been able to work out that you're better off sticking to an ATi card. I wish I could back to my old ATi card, but it's in my wife's computer. Now, I'm left with a hunk of metal that only stands to make my computer continually crash.
Avoid this card at all costs. It may work well out of the box, but there are huge compatibility issues that you're likely to run into in the future.
