Customers commend the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12GB GDDR6X for its exceptional gaming performance and impressive GPU capabilities, frequently praising the card's design and size suitability for various builds. However, some users note the high price point and elevated temperatures during operation, along with occasional fan noise and coil whine. While many appreciate the high resolution capabilities, potential buyers should be aware of these potential drawbacks.

It's very good, very expensive, and very hot

This card can play basically anything you can throw at it. It's basically a slightly less powerful 3090 in a 3080-sized card. But it's wildly overpriced. If you can't get a 3080 and are willing to spend extra money, buy this. If you are extremely careful about how much money you are spending, wait another two weeks and buy the 3080. It's $500 less and is only slightly slower, although it is much harder to find at a reasonable price.
To make it simple:
Pros:
-Powerful, basically plays anything
-Nice design
-Easier to find than other cards (it's still really hard to get one of these though)
Cons:
-Expensive
-Fans can be loud when playing demanding games
-VERY hot

Amazing card that will run anything at max settings with great FPS.
Use for 1440p gaming and it’s amazing
No complaints for this card besides probably the price but that’s what you pay for nvidias flagship GPU and you get 3090 performance without paying 3090 price.
Not too loud unless the fans start to get to 90-100% use which never really happens unless you have your fan curve set.
Stays relatively cool considering it has only two fans and how powerful the card.
Stock 12 pin adapter isn’t too appealing to the eye but there is a ton of after market support.
Overall, if you can find this card for msrp it is definitely a buy with the current market and you will be set for a long time with amazing performance.

An overclocking beast!!

This card has sooo much overclocking potential! I put the ekwb founders special edition waterblock on it and was able to go +190 on the core and +1500 on memory completely stable. My card clocks around 2130 in games and 2175 in synthetic benchmarks. Its faster than many 3090's that I have seen!! The true potential of this card can not be unlocked until you put a waterblock on it. The stock founders cooler is not good enough to allow this card to really stretch its legs. If your into overclocking and dont mind putting on a waterblock, this card will not disappoint! I love mine!!

PATIENCE and LUCK is important, waited over a year for this.
2 MONTHS UPDATE : Absolutely love this GPU! was supposed to get the 3080 FE but it got sold out, so immediately went on to the 3080Ti which was available at that minute and added to cart and boom! It got through! After over a year of waiting, watching YouTubers reviews and other lucky gamers I got it as well.
Powerful card, it’s power hungry card. But when it’s being “undervolted” and reach peak efficiency and a good performance, plus less heat.
Some FPS:
Call of Duty:WARZONE = 140 FPS AVERAGE, max setting at 1440p.

It's a fantastic product after a year of using it. That is an excellent video card. I highly suggest pairing it with an AMD X3D processor. I got the seven 5800X3D and a 1000 platinum certification power supply. Very stable, not overheating, and very smooth with maximum capacity in almost all games. If you are competitive and you avoid overpaying for high-end products just for another 20% of performance plus making your build an over like me, you will get great results and enjoy saving money.

The lengths you have to go for the "privilege" of buying this card at $1,199 MSRP are insane - but such is the nature of the game in this horrible GPU drought. I camped out overnight for this thing and there were a few place-holder scalper scumbags behind me. Things got chippy. Arguing. Tempers flared. BUT at the end of the day, I scored the less popular 3080 Ti.
Everyone thinks they're making a completely novel observation when they say that the 3080 is a better value than the 3080 Ti. Yeah...we KNOW...but sometimes you just want to spend a reckless amount of money for the newest latest gadget.
Bottom line...the card is a monster. Really just a 3090 with half the VRAM. I'm a newbie flight simmer and MSFS requires some high-end hardware so that was the main factor behind selecting the 3080 Ti. The same problems common to FE cards are present here...with 30 additional watts compared to the plain 3080, we're talking about some serious heat for a two-slot card. Undervolting is nearly a must and replacing the thermal pads may make sense if you have steady nerves and hands.
Love the card...yeah...3080 is a better value (congrats on figuring that out btw) but I wanted it and that's all that counts.

I couldn't wait for the new 40xx series GPUs coming out in the Fall and instead bought this. I didn't bother to test it and instead went straight to ripping it up and installing an EKWB waterblock. Runs great albeit extremely hot! 63-65 degrees on water tested with Quake II RTX; averages 60-63 degrees on non ray tracing games such as GTA 5 or CS:GO. Very loud coil whine, but can be mitigated by lowering power limits. If you can't wait for a card, get this!

I was one of the crazy people who camped out for this card at launch, and I have to say that I'm glad I did. This GPU is an absolute monster in terms of raw performance. It has easily handled anything I've thrown at it with no issues.
However, this card is mainly focused at people who want the best of the best, as the actual value proposition is terrible. If you want the best bang for your buck, a 3060ti or a 3070 is a much better value.
But if value is meaningless and performance is what you crave, this is definitely a solid option.

Can’t believe I was one of the lucky few to get this card on launch day and I gotta say it was definitely worth it. If you have chance to buy it at MSRP, definitely jump on that as soon as you can or else someone else will. Was finally able to finish my first ever PC build with it and coming from console -it’s such a huge leap that I’m a changed man haha.
This card is an absolute BEAST and can handle pretty much everything you throw at it. Being able to crank max settings on most games and remain relatively quiet is really nice. Unless you crank up the fan speed past 75% you won’t notice any noise. Having basically the power of a 3090 but at a much more affordable price is a no brainer and definitely looking forward to overclocking once I get the hang of things.
Overall I really love the design of the Founders Edition and the performance you get is incredible. Honestly besides the price being hiked up at the last moment by Nvidia THERES not much to complain about it. But this is card is for those looking for a high end graphics card and if you get the chance at grabbing it for MSRP…. Do it. Your wallet will regret it, but at least you won’t.

RTX DLSS Max Settings massive FPS, This is power. With less power draw and more compact than 3090 for at least $300 less w/ similar performance.
Yes, the 3080 is a better value but fat chance of scoring that. If FE a 3080TI or FE 3070TI is available at MSRP instead grab one of those.
I expect to keep using this card for 7 or 8 years. I am also happy with the design, size, material quality, and temperatures. Good luck

Big but very quiet. That's what I needed to do when I tell it to do it. It's gorgeous too. You do get a lot of performance out of this card but the price just doesn't seem right for what it is. This card should be $1,000 to be honest compared to a regular 3080. But if you have the cash to spend and if you're not going to be doing any etherium mining you can think of it as buying a cheap 3090.

Oh boy… What a day it has been. I went to Best Buy at 5 AM and got this beast. It was so easy to setup, and the performance is insane. I have a friend who has a 3090 and it got the same score in 3D Mark Port Royal (Pure ray-tracing test No DLSS) If you have the money it’s a no brainer. I wanted the 3080 but went OOS in one minute after tickets were given. Here are the pros and cons:
Pros: A very good performing GPU. Basically a cheaper 3090 with half the VRAM which the 3090s VRAM isn’t really needed for most people so this is good enough for most. Same PSU rating as the 3080 and gets more performance.
Cons: Pricey. This GPU was $1300.19 after taxes. over 70% of the price of a 3080.
Conclusion: This is a very good GPU, but a bit pricey for most to even buy.

Not the best bang for your buck considering a founders 3080 is only 699 and pulls the same frames but after waiting 2 years I decided to pulled the trigger. Performance is out of this world and me personally think the founders cards are the best looking. Memory does run a bit warm(100c) as reviews have said so I’ll probably replace the thermal pads soon.
And yes I built the custom desk myself out of a closest lol.

What can I say, it works and can handle anything I throw at it. I play on 4K with an LG 27GP950 to get the most out of this card. I mainly undervolt at .793 at 1750 and can still get an average of 160 fps 4K on Vanguard. I can also undervolt at .850 at 1850 and so get high FPS. Winning!!!

Amazing card. 3090 performance without the size or thermal issues of the 3090. It does still run hot though, expect temps around 80-83 even in the best cases for airflow (this is normal though). Absolutely loved how Best Buy handled the release by making it in-person.
