A great card for older generation upgrade.
Pros:
Built like a art piece, elegant, very substantial feeling and well made in all metal chassis.
Runs very cool and nearly silent.
Powerful enough for 1440p, performance matching 3080.
Well balanced 12G GDDR6x vram, 50% more than 3060 Ti/3070
DLSS3 is phenomenal, getting 100fps in cyberpunk and Spiderman with RT on.
No coil whines.
Cons:
A little pricey for its name sake.
Box is huge and waste.

Pros: -runs all my games at maxed, while running 2 monitors and a VR headset
-runs super cool, from 50C to 55C under load
-RGB
- quiet, large fans keep the card cool without sounding like a jet engine
Cons: - huge card, takes up almost 4 slots, covers all but one pci-e x1 slot on my motherboard
- power adapter works but is ugly
- overpriced when compared to AMD cards
- barely fits in a corsair 4000D (but it does!)
Overall Review: Honestly, it's a beast of a card in multiple ways. After not being able to get my hands on a 4090, i figured this would be something i could actually buy. I would definitely buy this card again, even if the "value" is better elsewhere, as i had a 2070 super and it was time for an upgrade. It's been quiet, the RGB is tastefull, and it feels good to actually fill out a case with hardware this big. I've been trying all of my most demanding games and have been enjoying the ability to max them all out and not see low frame rates in anything

Coming from an RTX 3080 FE, this was a nice upgrade. The card is physically smaller, quieter and very power efficient. Performance is on par or slightly faster than my 3080, but the increase in VRAM from 10GB to 12GB, DLSS 3 and the excellent thermals is a big plus in my use case.
The only negative thing I have to say about the 4070 is the price... If NVIDIA would've kept the $499 price of last generation's 3070, this card would be perfect.
Anyone looking to build a new system or upgrade their old GPU will not be disappointed with this card. I highly recommend!

The RTX 4070 is powered by the Ada Lovelace architecture, which brings significant improvements in ray tracing and AI-enhanced graphics through DLSS 3.
With 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM, the card performs excellently at 1440p and is capable of 4K gaming with some settings adjusted. It's often a solid choice for gamers who want high frame rates and sharp visuals.
The DLSS 3.0 feature helps boost performance, particularly in more demanding games by generating frames through AI. It’s particularly useful in intensive titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Control, to only name a few.
While it's great for 1440p and 4K gaming, it may struggle with 8K gaming or ultra-demanding tasks.
The card lacks the larger memory pool of its more expensive siblings, which might be a limitation for users dealing with extremely large textures in professional workloads. Alas, the GPU is MORE than capable of seamlessly playing all of the newest AAA Titles and for some time to come as well. I'd highly recommend this card to casual/hardcore gamers alike, as I'm certain you will not regret the purchase.

There is no secret that this product is overpriced but I will still give it 5 stars because if you can overlook the price tag you will not be disappointed in performance.
Coming from the 3080 I was able to see average 35 to 45 fps increase in most AAA games. It run cooler and uses less power too. The frame generation has gotten a lot better since launch and I find myself using it for more and more games. Anyone coming from 20s or less should really consider the upgrade to the 40s.

This card is great for gaming in 1440p on high/ultra. It’s super efficient and runs really cool compared to previous gen RTX cards or any new Radeon card. Undervolted, my 4070 consumes about 175-180W at full load. Really happy with the performance of it, and the Founder’s Edition version just looks so sleek. The box it comes in is pretty cool too.

I've been using the RTX 4070 Founders Edition for a year now, and it’s been flawless. Whether I’m gaming or multitasking, it crushes everything I throw at it. Running games at 1440p with ray tracing and DLSS 3 has been buttery smooth.
The design is clean and compact, and the cooling is super efficient. My system runs quiet and stays cool, even during long sessions. After a year, it’s still going strong without any hiccups. If you’re on the fence about upgrading, just do it—this card is a beast!

Great card for 1440p, I’m running a 3440x1440 UW without any issues. I sold my rx6800 to get this and i have been throughly impressed with it. Its SFF is nice for my meshlicious case (rx6800 didnt fit). The power consumption is another nice feature. I have my card undervolted at 920mv and it pulls 115-130w max on starfield! One more thing to add it runs at a cool 50c while gaming so my little pc isnt a space heater anymore

This 4070 seriously impressed me. I know it’s $599 but if you consider how much used 3080 is going for, since the 4070 is the 3080 equivalent, I think it’s a no brainer.
I have a 4080 in one of my PC’s and it’s massive, but when I saw how small the 4070 Founders Edition was and how it performed… I was literally shocked. It’s the same size as a 3060 Ti but wipes the floor with the 3060 Ti. It’s crazy. And it consumes up to 200w while being as powerful as a 320 watt GPU. That’s extremely impressive. Also, with AV1 encoding, using OBS is going to be so much better.
The unboxing was an awesome experience too. Best unboxing I’ve ever seen. I was so blown away for many different reasons.
In the first photo, there is a 3080 Ti and a GTX 1650 next to the 4070 for size comparison, and in the last picture the 4070 is next to a 4080 for size comparison. This thing is awesome.

You get the right balance of raw performance, features, and VRAM. It's a 3080 10GB with +2GB, $100 less MSRP than that card, better features (DLSS3, AV1), and far lower power use and heat. The 4070 with DLSS3 enabled matches the 4080 without DLSS3. 3080 raw performance, and 4080 performance with DLSS. Not worth $600 after years of pandemic pricing? I say it's the best card this generation unless money is no object and you get the 4090.
If you're on anything older than the 30-series, all the cockamamie reasons online why you shouldn't buy this GPU don't apply.

The rtx 4070 fe is the perfect 1440p card and draws low power. It's quiet, sleek, smallish and very capable. Is it a little pricey - just a tad bit but dang does it deliver. The AI frame generation feature is amazing.

Finally, a 40-series card that doesn't require a case the size of an aircraft hangar. The card is small enough to fit comfortably in a compact ITX case and still runs quiet and cool even under full load. Performance isn't a big step up from the 3070 and is about equivalent to a 3080, although it uses significantly less power and gives access to current gen features like DLSS 3. For a 70-class card, this should be about $100 cheaper though. If you don't mind the Nvidia tax, this will probably end up being the most reasonable card in the 40-series lineup.

I really like this card. It performs great and is very good on power consumption. The reference design is so clean looking and compact. It feels real solid and doesn't sag. My favorite games are Forza and Cyberpunk and I cand run them with all the eye candy turned up and got well over 60fps on a 2k monitor. I replaced my 3070 with this card because because V-ram was becoming an issue. I would recommend this card.

The GPU itself is not bad but for $600 its a bit steep comoare to the AMD counterpart, the thing is that you still getting Nvidia’s latest technology with DLSS 3.5 frame generation and better Ray tracing integration, performance wise is only an 18-20% increase from 30 series really its selling point is the new DLSS and the feame generation otherwise it would be very comparable to the 3070 pr 3080,price wise compared to other Nvidias not Founders Edition like gigabyte, Asus, or MSI that are almost $800 performance per buck is pretty good. Overall great card recommend if you are in a 20 series or older.

I was recently having issues with my 4 year old GIGABYTE 2080ti, so I just decided it was time to upgrade. Did some online shopping and found this one in stock from one of my local Best Buy. Reserved/Ordered/Picked up the same day.
Great price for a brand new original Nvidia FOUNDER'S EDITION. Packaging came in a cool box, (almost impossible to tear up), some warranty/safety information, and a 2x PCIe 8-pin cables adapter which I connected to my CORSAIR RMx Series RM850x that I also got from BestBuy with no issues.
The card itself looks great, and easily fit in my case. It's advertised at 9.5in in length, which is almost 3inches shorter than my previous 2080ti card which was about 12 inches. Quality and FPS is great, I run 1080p on my monitor and play most AAA games, FPS, and MMOs. In the future, I plan on moving up to 1440p or possibly higher I know this card won't have issues. So far I have no issues on running ultra/high graphics. The temperature is considerably lower and the fans are a lot less quiet compared to my old GPU.
I'm happy with my purchase, worth the price for its performance without breaking your bank. This card has a 3 year manufacture warranty, however I think this card will last me longer than that before I would need a upgrade/replacement.
Only thing I would have done differently is I didn't know the 4070 Super had recently been released this January, for only $50 extra, I would've 100% made the purchase for the extra performance. However there are none that are local due to its high demand. If I can exchange this card and pay the $50 I 100% would.

I replaced my 5700xt with the 4070. I wanted a more powerful card but I would have to upgrade my PSU. This card runs everything in the 130 fps range. I havent tried cyberpunk since I finished that game over a year ago. The only games that have low fps are CPU limited games that run 1 core of my 10700. Everything feels better and my games haven't frozen or studdard like they did on the 5700xt. It is also small. The exact same size as the 5700xt. I used the built in OC and gained 14% according to UserBenchmark. It runs around 2925mhz. I took the glass panel off my case.

The Nvidia RTX 4070 is a very powerful card for it's size! The power consumption for this card is very low and does not get too hot. The fact that this card is very small and doesn't use a lot of power makes it perfect for a mini itx gaming build! I have it paired with a Ryzen 5 5600x in a mini itx PC and it runs every game I throw at it at 1440p! I would 100% recommend this card!

Excellent performance, reasonable size (especially if you’re doing an ITX build), good thermals, and quiet operation! Used in a Fractal North build and works great! With the 4070 Super out, less reason to purchase this, but still a good performer if you can find it for a discount.

I am upgrading from my pandemic purchased AMD 6700 XT. This is a pretty significant upgrade for me and at 1440p this card is killing it. I don't always see the high framerates I'd maybe like, but Starfield is running at 80fps+ on high settings. I can do ultra but then I'm at 45-53fps with dips in the 30s. On the Metro series I'm seeing 60fps in almost all situations. The 4070 ti is what you really need if you want to hit 4k or see 100+ fps on all your titles at 1440p. For 1080 this is probably overkill. If you want more power but are on a budget and don't mind AMD check out the new 7800 xt. It's a little better performance in all areas. This card looks great and I love the fit in my case. The power adapter is not pretty and I recommend getting a 90° adapter or dedicated cable from a 3rd party. I'm happy. I have no buyers remorse. I do miss the AMD software, but I can't argue with the performance and styling.

I installed it in a new build and it works. The founder's edition packaging and presentation of the card were aesthetically amazing. It comes in rectangle shaped box that folds into a elongated pyramid shape after you remove a couple of stickers. With no antistatic bag and no exposed pcb, you can just pick up the gpu straight out of the box. The high power adapter seems ok so far, I followed the advice of the internet and made sure that it was securely plugged in, and I was careful not to bend it near the connector. It performs similar to a 3080 in most games, but consumes much less power, so if you want to cheap out on the power supply you can do that. It took me about 8-9 hours to build this. So far, it works great and has no problems. This was also the cheapest 4070 that I could find, which is the card that I selected because of power consumption concerns.
