My monitor is a Dell 27 Curved Gaming Monitor - S2722DGM, 68.58cm (27.0"), VA,165Hz,1ms (MPRT), FreeSync Premium and my previous video card was an Intel A770, which is a nice mid level card, but it cannot run the monitor on ultra settings and hit 144Hz.
-Enter the 4080 Super
This card is a significant improvement over the A770 with 10W idle, 32C idle and 67C fully loaded running ultra settings, 1440p AND 144Hz. This card is very nice and the cooler is overbuilt since it shares the 4090 RTX design which makes more heat. I like the card very much, however the price is very much out of reach and finding it in stock at MSRP is not easy.
If you do get a chance to own this card, pricing aside, it's a very nice product that works great at stock settings while running ALL of the eye candy on maximum settings. I won't take off a point for the LED lights even though I have a blacked-out case. Also, if you have a newer PSU, use the 12VHPWR cable and make sure you do it correctly the first time; measure twice, cut once; 1000USD is an expensive mistake for not ensuring proper seating!
Lastly, this GPU is paired with an undervolted and overclocked (Intel Extreme Tuning Utility) 14700K to get the highest FPS possible. Couple the CPU with an anti-bending frame and a carbon thermal sheet for zero maintenance and let er' rip! My prior system was an i5-2500K (2nd Gen) using a 1070Ti so the jump was huge coming from 1080p @ 60 FPS, 16GB DDR3 1660MHz RAM w/ a 400MB/s SATA III SSD to 1440p @ 144 FPS, 32GB DDR5 6000 RAM w/ a 7000MB/s NVMe M.2 SSD.

Upgrading from the RTX 2070 Super to the RTX 4080 Super Founders Edition has completely transformed my gaming experience with a 2K 360Hz monitor. The performance is phenomenal, delivering ultra settings and sky-high frame rates that make competitive gaming buttery smooth and incredibly responsive. Ray tracing with DLSS ensures top-tier visuals without compromising performance. The card stays cool and quiet, even during long sessions, letting me stay fully immersed in every game. For anyone serious about gaming, this upgrade is an absolute game-changer.

The 4080 needed a refresh after coming in at 1199 initially. The 4080S changed the aesthetic for the better and drops the price by $200 while improving performance between 1-4%. There are better value picks out there but if you have the cash you for this you won’t be disappointed. I’ve had this since June and it’s generally overkill for 1440p and your best bet in 4K without dropping $1700 on a 4090. Runs really cool but with very faint coil whine. DLSS makes running all games at 4K a breeze.

The 4080S is definitely better value than the outgoing 4080 at $200 less MSRP. Also holds up well against the 5080. The 5080 is better value at the same price, but that’s assuming you can get one. You’re definitely not missing out on much with a 4080S for years to come.

Upgrade from 3080. FPS up 30-60%, power down from 350-380 watts to 250-300 during. Clock runs 2730-2775 mhz during gaming at stock, easy overclock +75 mhz core, +125 mhz mem at 111% power target. Fan runs up to 1400 rpm & is very quiet in Corsair 4000d case. Mild coil whine is inaudbile once fans ramp up. Best Buy delivered next day which was great.

The 4080 super is a work horse, I have no problem playing games at 4k ultra and still getting good frames, I was lucky enough to snag one of these randomly on a restock when they came out, it stays nice and cool and is nice and quiet.

I got this graphics card day one, and I haven’t gotten any single problems with it. The name lights with which is cool. I bought it online and shipping was pretty reasonable, no delays or anything. It came in two boxes, so it won’t show that it’s a very expensive graphics card is outside your house. Talking about the graphics card itself, im very happy with the performance, I am a bit underwhelmed by the VRAM, but it works for me, I wished it had 20 at least, but hey, everyone wants more VRAM so think of it how you will.

This card shreds through anything you throw at it. Using it for 1440p max settings RT with the 7800x3D and it runs flawless. Not to mention it looks wicked in all black. Also really loved the box it came in. Says a lot about Nvidia that they designed a custom box for these to ship in. That being said though its not the greatest value even with the reduced price but if youve got the scratch, I highly recommend this card.

This is the first brand new gpu I purchase. I upgraded from a GTX 1660 Super that I bought used from a friend. I’ve got to say it’s massive and while it doesn’t go with my “all white “ build in my Y60, I have no regrets. Super quiet, and powerful. Playing Hogwarts legacy on Ultra 1440P with 100fps like it’s butter with RT ON.

Upgrading from a 5700 AMD card and can definitely both feel and see the difference. Not only is it a massive performance improvement, it also helps keep my room warm! Even without making tweaks to through the control panel you get great performance. It only gets better after you tweak it to your liking and maybe even activate DLSS in video games to get that performance boost.

Huge performance boost over my 3080ti. The temps dont go over 55°C in stress tests, so the cooling seems very overkill which is good. Gaming temps are around 48-53°C in GPU heavy games. Performance is amazing, i am able to run any game at max settings and haven't gone below 144 fps (1440p resolution). This is a very great choice for high refreshrate gaming, as well as 4k.

It looks great and has performed admirably at 4k. I've been averaging just over 100fps in the games I play with DLSS usually set to quality or balanced. Newer AAA games will probably bring it down more, but as long as I'm over 60fps, I'm happy.
The new Blackwell GPU's are looking to be a bit of a disappointment, so I don't regret getting this card so late in the cycle. It's way quieter and cooler than my 3080 12gb was. The 4080's currently averaging around 62C when gaming in a Meshify C with a Ryzen 5600.
The one complaint I have is that the coil whine on this card is some of the worst I've ever heard on a desktop GPU. Luckily, I can't hear it over my headphones when gaming at least, and I'm going to try swapping out my PSU when I move to a new case to see if that helps since my current one is pretty old.

For the price of 999$ this is a BEAST of a graphics card! highly recommend if you're able to get your hands on one. Ultra game graphic settings, I'm getting 250fps apex, 240fps ghost of tsushima, 280fps MW3, 170fps hogwarts legacy. Uningine heaven test 1440p ultra scored 10,012

This is a significant improvement from my previous 3080 fe 10gb. This card allows me to get basically maxed out setting in 3440x1440p ~120fps. Also, the cooling performance is FAR better than any card I have owned, due to the chonky cooler. Awesome card, if you have the opportunity for this at this price, go for it!

If you truly want to have a high end rig and a $1000 graphics card is your budget. This is one awesome card to have. Most people however, would probably be 100% fine with a 4070 or 7800xt depending on usage. Or even lower. The founders edition build quality is immaculate, and the card both runs cool to the touch but so quiet I can hear the mice reproducing in the run down building next door over it. If you game at 3440x1440 or up and want the most overkill card possible without breaking the bank on a 4090. Pick this one. Or a 7900xtx if you don’t stream or require ray tracing. Just be sure to have the horrible 16pin fire maker cable over the adapter as my pictures show it’s a hideous mess and thankfully I ordered a replacement stand alone cable instead. Value: Poor, Quality: Excellent, Ease of Use: Excellent. Even fits in small form factor cases that support triple slot cards.

Coming from 2 970s in Sli so this was a huge upgrade. I'm playing at 1440p so I can play everything at max settings. This is my first ever Founders Edition card and I'm in love with it. The build of it, how it's metallic just makes it feel very solid. It stays very cool and qiet under high load. I highly recommend this gpu.

Amazing card. Beautiful, fast, quiet and powerful. Very well constructed. Premium all the way down to the shipping box. Truly an incredible experience and product. Kudos to Best Buy for getting this out to me quickly too. Ordered another direct from Nvidia on their website and it arrived a week after this one.
