If you own a Shield tablet, this is a no brainer. While it is possible to get other controllers to work, this one is fully compatible. Save yourself the headache. All of my Android games with controller support are able to recognize it. Quality and comfort are on par with the Xbox One controller. Too bad I can't get it to work on my Windows 10 PC that has an AMD graphics card installed.

It is about as good as I would expect for the price range, perhaps a bit better. It is cheaper than buying an Xbox one controller but the Nvidia controller has a better overall feel and quality to it. The only downside that I had with it was that it feels a bit bulky even for me, and the sticks are not very responsive until they are pushed close to the edge

I bought this controller to use with my SHIELD tablet. It works well for the games. It has heft to it and feels like a solid third party controller.

I use a Microsoft 360 controller at my PC, but got the Shield Tab. to stream and play in bed and around the house. This controller works very well, some buttons are a bit different, but still had the same basic lay out.
Response time is good, and the sticks and buttons fell well.
Battery has been good, charge it once and it will last about 4 days of light usage.

If you owned or used the Classic Xbox original controller, you will know what a beast this controller is. My only gripe is the touch pad on the control you can use as a mouse track pad. If you bump it when playing some games, you activate the on screen display, the the volume buttons are close enough to bump and cause on screen problems as well.

Solid Controller for NVIDIA Ecosystem

This is an excellent controller designed primarily for gaming using an NVIDIA shield streamer or tablet. Works best when streaming PC games to the shield. Using with a shield device is only way to use wirelessly. You can use with a PC, but it must be wired unfortunately. Very useful as long as you realize a few limitations :)

This controller from nvidia is very well made..It's sturdy, although on the large side but doesn't hamper gameplay at all.It syncs with the nvidia shield k1 tablet very quickly and as far as I can tell there is absolutely no lag...Excellent controller, highly recommended

This controller can not only be used with the NVIDIA Shield Tablet (where it works perfectly), but with a PC/Steam for gaming, and also with the upcoming NVIDIA Shield streaming device. It's got a solid weight to it and the buttons are responsive, so I'm quite happy with my purchase.

This remote was part of a special promotional bundle when you buy a Nvidia Shield TV and Gaming console. Extra bonus, since this controller is usually sold separately for average price of $50.
This NVIDIA SHIELD wireless controller features precision controls and an integrated microphone which you can do voice search etc.
It is lightweight and comforTable to hold. I would definitely recommend the remote to friends and family.

The controller is the perfect companion to a Shield device, such as the tablet I have. It's basically the most responsive controller I've ever used on an Android. The wifi direct is much better than bluetooth. The integrated touchpad is fairly handy on apps that don't respond well to the stick controls and the headset support is built-in. It feels solidly built, though I'm not sure I'd trust it to survive drops well. The ability to connect with a computer is good, but only works with USB. It has enough battery life to last a few gaming sessions easily.
The only major complaint I have is that the stick pressure and response isn't very linear, so it is hard to nail finer maneuvers and aiming can be tough if you're not used to it. The major game system controllers are a step up in the consistency of the control in this area, so I can't give it 5 stars. But it's not like I'm going to be doing competitive gaming on a tablet anyway :)
It's a pretty well-rounded controller with a lot of features, and I'm not displeased with the purchase at all, especially with the responsiveness and familiar controls it brings.

In reality an OTG adapter plus an xbox 360 controller is probably cheaper, bit then you've got extra things to plug in and a long cord to deal with. This item is priced a bit higher than I liked but the easy wireless, works-out-of-the-box aspect is what you are paying that premium for. It works as it should and I like the feel and build quality. Recommended if you have a shield tablet. Otherwise, go with a cheaper option.

The tablet itself is super fast and ergonomic. I like the stylus and the ability to lock out finger touch input and just use the stylus. The chip for streaming media is great. I can stream my desktop over wifi to another part of the house and simultaneously broadcast to twitch. I did get a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard to go with it that work great for gaming as well as the NVidia remote too.
However, most everywhere you go, peoples routers/internet just can't support what the tablet is asking it to do. I've had little to no success streaming my computer from outside the home. Choppy laggy playback. I use the grid app to test the connection where I am and it always has a staggering amount of frame loss even if the bandwidth is high enough. If you are looking for a tablet or hand held console to stream from outside the home I just don't think there is a solution yet. Maybe in a few years when everyone has upgraded networking.
FYI I also had the exact same results with my Vita trying to stream my ps4. In the house, perfect. On the road, impossible. So I don't think its any fault of this hardware.
