Oculus Go is a great product

The Oculus Go is awesome! I love being able to watch Netflix, Hulu, and so many other things and feel like I am in a theater. I can put it on and lose track of time easily. The screen is crisp and clean and the headset is not uncomfortable. I did have to do adjusting on the straps to get it comfortable, but once I figured it out, it was great. The only reason I rated 4 stars is the battery goes down quickly (but that is understandable) and you can not use Bluetooth headphones or any headphones with it. That would be a nice option to have.

If you have a Samsung Gear VR or even a more expensive VR headset, the Oculus Go is still a great option. It has much better clarity over the Gear VR and even the regular Oculus VR. The speakers are outstanding sounds like you are wearing headphones. Battery life could be a little better but it's not horrible since you probably shouldn't spend more than 30 minutes to an hour in VR at a time anyway. Battery life about 2 hours total use. My only other complaint is no Bluetooth audio support, which isn't huge since it has a headphone jack. The best part is it's portability. Not needing a phone or cables.

This is a useful gadget. You can use it to play VR games, watching VR clips, but you will probably use it more to watch movies from streaming service such as Netflix, Hulu, etc. The goggle is comfortable enough to wear and you can charge it with a powerbank for worry free continuous binge watching. I would recommend to rest for a few hours after wearing it in order to avoid eye straining. Oculus VR ecosystem is great: a lot of options for apps. Screen quality is pretty good, not yet there like your 4K TV but it is actually better than Samsung Gear VR. This is a device that will make you feel almost like purchasing a home theatre system for the price of several hundred dollars. It is worth it and delivers a good VR experience.

I already had the GearVR for my Note 8 and decided to try this one. It works well, tracks head movement and the controller without any issues. I even used my Xbox One controller for a couple of games which was really easy to bind through the app. I did notice a little difference in the resolution when compared to the Gear VR with my Note 8 but it's not a deal breaker. If you've wanted to try VR without investing a bunch of money, this is the way to go. Great to test the waters and see if you like it.

I currently own both the Samsung Gear VR and the Google Daydream View. I also develop applications for 'high end' pc-based headsets such as the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. I initially had low expectations for the Oculus Go considering it lacked positional tracking, ran at a sub-90 refresh rate, and used an LCD display. Additionally, my previous experiences with mobile VR were full of minor issues that added friction to using the devices: phones would overheat during long sessions, the screen would fog up, headphones would get tangled up. I'm happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the Oculus Go. It is a great piece of hardware for the price point. I did not run into any of the same issues that I had with the GearVR and Daydream. Out of all the VR headsets that I own, the Oculus Go had the least amount of hassle getting into VR. There is no inserting of phones, no additional headphones required thanks to their integrated audio...you just slip the headset on and you're good to go. Although the current crop of mobile experiences lack the complexity of their PC counterparts and the lack of positional tracking compromises immersion, there are still plenty of great bite-sized experiences to be had. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a hassle-free experience with VR. Eventually this headset will be surpassed by mobile headsets with positional tracking from both Google and Oculus, but software will still need to catch up to the capabilities of that new hardware. In the meantime, Oculus Go is the best experience to be had in mobile VR and worth the price.

The Oculus Go is a very economic entry-level virtual reality headset. The set-up is relatively quick and you can start using it within a half-hour via the on-board wifi. No phone needed! There are no headphones ( I recommend an over-the-ear headset) but you can connect via Bluetooth or 3.5 connection) The video is a very rewarding visual experience. The only downside is that the battery drains fast on the headset and the battery drains continuously on the controller. However, this is a marked improvement over using a cellphone with an adapter. It's good for a lot of things, just not expensive things.

My first VR experience was with the Sony PSVR. You had to be tethered to your game system. The graphics were nice but I could only use it for 15 minutes and I would start to get queasy, not so with the Oculus Go. With the Oculus Go, I have taken it to work and let my co-workers try it (they loved it) my family and even my camping buddies. Lots of free experiences to try and the rest are fairly inexpensive. I have had lots of laughs watching the ladies freak out over Face Your Fears. This is so worth the money I paid.

It is not possible to explain in words. Imagine a personal movie theater. Playing a game from in inside your monitor.. Every moment under the hood is a vacation from the real world and better than a vacation because: It's always vacation time Experience exactly what you want at the moment No TSA, No Flight Attendants, No cramped seat next to fat sweaty guy. Vacation ends when you think best. Caution: In VR everyone can hear you scream. Experience the calm of meditation. Experience the insanity of killing everything in sight. Experience the real you. Become sane again at a single button push Oculus Go $199 for life Psychiatrist $199 an hour As always the choice is yours. Seeing as this experience is the most immersive sensory input you can get, with enough sensations to create involuntary physical reactions, you have to ask yourself a question. Is it real, or is it virtual? Well which is it punk? You gots to know? Then get in your car and Oculus Go to Best Buy and Oculus Go pick one up.

Didn't expect much honestly, but am pretty impressed with the quality of the actual headset, the immersive experience, and also (most of) the content thus far. The headset is comfortable right out of the box, but it does require some occasional re-positioning the longer you wear it. It fits well, and is easily adjustable. The lenses seem high quality, and the sound is better than expected. The hand controller is pretty responsive, and seems to track well across the screen. The immersiveness is great. Beyond the occasional little bit of light peaking in from the nose area, there's no breaks in the quality. As a 52 year old newcomer to VR, I had absolutely no idea what to expect. I did my research and read tons of reviews. Many great...some not so great. I was attracted to the Oculus GO because it is a standalone unit and, other than during the initial setup, you don't need to have your phone handy. It's all self contained. No cables, no computer, no hassles. So when I fired it up for the first time and got my first glimpse of the default background and menu....I was totally blown away. It was like I was taken to another place far away from my normal everyday environment. When they say you are immersed in whatever you're viewing, I would very much agree. True...some of the apps are better than others but what else is new. We all have our favorites. And we all have our opinions. But suffice to say...this thing is so cool! There is so many apps and media available much of which is free. If you are on the fence about buying one, disregard some of the petty (IMO) complaints about the GO...and pull the trigger. You will not regret it.

It’s comfortable and the graphics are really nice. I love not having wires and needing to connect to a computer. You just put it on and completely immerse into another world. I haven’t been this happy since I got my first Nintendo. It’s a game changer for sure. The only con is the battery life. The AppStore has an ok selection but I see it growing quickly.

First of all I’m a big supporter of vr was way back with oculus devoleper kits 1 and 2 and as well as Htc Vive and ps vr. And those are all good products in there own right but if you’re looking for on the go vr or at least just lying in bed watching Netflix this for now is the best option sure it don’t have free roaming positional tracking but far surpasses the other offerings for portable vr from oculus and Samsung vr which is very clumsy in my opinion

I bought this as I know someone who is now working with VR and wanted to find out more about it. Overall, this is a very cool product! There are many apps and I have to avoid the intense ones as this gives me motion sickness right away! However, the more tame apps are very cool! My only complaints are short battery life and I can’t find an app that works that will allow me to view my own videos from my computer network.

I bought the Oculus Go for my two kids ages 11 and 7. We have tried to use a cheap headset with an iPhone in a tray, but very difficult to do anything without a controller – always needing to take the iPhone out to tap the screen to select. Cool for a YouTube video, but very clunky to use. The Oculus Go gives a much better experience - I was very impressed. Pros: No headphones required, controller that comes with the Go is great for navigating – very intuitive, head tracking is excellent! Cons: You can see some "screen door effect" on the screen – not the highest resolution. The battery life is only about 2 hours, I plug our into a small USB battery charger to extend the life. The screen sometimes fogs up a little with me.

The Oculus go is a great way to get into VR. I had one that used my smart phone but it was always getting hot and the resolution was poor. This is so much better. Just put on the head set and start enjoying VR. No overheating and much better resolution. This is not as good as VR headsets connected to a computer. But for ease of use it is the best there is right now.

The VR was purchased for my 9 yr. old son and he wore it around the house for hours. It was easy to set up and instructions are straight forward. There are free games to download and the ones that are available to purchase are so much cheaper than any other gaming system. The graphics are great and is well worth the cost. Highly recommended!

I thought the Oculus Go was a good product for the money. It is easy to operate and the visual quality is good. However, it overheats rather easy, storage capacity is not nearly enough, and the battery life is very short. I will purchase one of the higher end Oculus headsets in the future.

Just started using this device and already has me blown away. The quality of this product is awesome. Wished I could watch all of my shows and especially movies that are showing at theaters. Would rather stay home now and use my oculus rather than tv and theaters. This is home much I'm enjoying this product. Can't go wrong with this product.

There are some things the Oculus Go does really well, like 3d movies and some games. Resolution still has a way to go but with the constant updates there are always new features to explore. Battery life and lack of ability to focus the lenses cause me to ding this one star. Can't wait to see what's next!

I purchased this as a gift for the family but I am enjoying it more than them. Just put app on your phone for initial setup. After that it is self contained with its own apps. Good resolution could be better. Comfortable to wear. Only knock is poor battery life and no ability to add more memory
