After using my Oculus go for a couple months here are some things i've noticed. I use my Go mainly for consuming video content. Really great for using netflix and hulu on. Also using it for youtube is great as well. Gaming is just alright but not really worth it for that compared to more advanced VR devices.
Battery life is ok get about 2 hours of use on a full charge. That's more than enough, since after about an hour I'm ready to take it off. Overall is very comfortable on your face. There is also an included spacer so can wear glasses with the headset at the same time.
There are plenty of first part oculus apps and third party apps as well. Watching live events like nba or ncaa games is very cool. Can watch movies with friends in VR is pretty awesome too.
Video Quality is pretty good, seems to be about 720p. While its not full HD, watching a show or movie in the netflix app is still very satisfying. Audio quality is quite good. The Go has speakers on the outside so everyone can hear what you are watching. But it does a good job or focusing the audio back to your ears. There is also a jack for earbuds if you want more privacy.
This is a really good VR headset. Is it something that anyone really needs, no. But if you have the cash and want a simple VR headset that is very easy to take with you. Then def worth checking out.

I’m a VR newbie, and am finding myself thoroughly enjoying the experience. A real bonus is that this is a stand-alone headset, not requiring a phone. The picture quality for videos shot in hi-def is very good, and the sound quality, without headphones, is excellent. The only reason I withheld the 5th star is the somewhat limited battery life.

The Oculus Go isn't my first foray into VR as I've experienced it at my tech savvy friend's place many times. However, he has spent the money and time to invest in his VR setup with gaming rig PC and HTC Vive.
I did not want to invest that much and I can't invest that much. The Oculus Go (and Oculus Quest) are great entry level VR headset that provide a high quality experience without the need of a separate PC.
The Go is not as fully featured as the Quest (one controller vs two and only 3 degrees of tracking instead of 6). This means you can't play all the high end games that require full motion controls.
However, the Go excels at simple, yet great games available on the Oculus store (many are free) and also excels at viewing media (like VR videos on YouTube) very well. It's actually a better device than the Quest for viewing vids.
In summary, if you want an entry level VR system the Go and the Quest are great for that and you will have fun. If you're a hardcore gamer, I'd recommend the Quest. However, if you want the VR experience and not a big gamer, I'd go with the Go as it is half the price and actually better at viewing media than the Quest.

Love this and have had no issues except battery life which only goes 2 to 2.5 hrs at best. Resolved easily with Rav 10000 battery pack. Maneuvering is easy along with setup. Amazing stuff for me as a beginner and would recommend. Still trying to figure out how to see how much space I've used and have left.

Totally get the back up battery that's recommended. Cuz this sucker goes fast. haven't played much cuz it costs to play almost everything but so does any other video game system out there. Oh and yes people can hear you in these rooms, just ask my friend who thought they couldn't til he cussed and they all looked at him.

Easy to use, lots of free apps, connects easily with Netflix account. The hardest part is that you have to enter account info within the headset versus the phone app. Other than that the battery life is shorter than expected. It works great and you’re able to view at your own comfort level

This headset has a really great screen, which I understand is comparable to the one on the Rift S, but not quite the pixel density of the Oculus Quest.
If you want to do PC gaming, this isn't the headset for you. It's possible, but not with any officially supported apps.
The Oculus Go is great for browsing the web on a virtual screen, watching Netflix in a virtual cinema, or hanging out with long-distance friends in a virtual living room.
The headset has built it speakers. The speakers are actually pretty decent, although there isn't much low end. Rarely do I feel the need to plug in headphones.
The major downside to the Go is the battery life. If you're playing a graphically intensive app/game, the battery life will max out at 1.5 - 2 hours if you're lucky. The front of the headset also becomes quite hot, but you don't really notice it.

I've been using the Go for a few months. It's nice compared to using a headset you put a phone into, like Cardboard or the like. It's comfortable enough, and the display is good for the price. I haven't had tracking issues, and the speakers are acceptable (headphones are still better, of course). You do need to use a mobile phone app for some of the setup, including pairing Bluetooth devices and Wi-Fi
It is friction-less VR at its best. I didn't need a laptop or have to insert a phone to get started. Oculus Go is also very comfortable to wear. The strength of the Go is that it's well-made, self-contained, and relatively inexpensive, making it a good entry point for VR. Its portability also makes it a good choice for watching a 3D movie wherever you want (like on a long flight or lying on a couch).

Purchased as a replacement for Gear VR, it was exciting to have an all-in-one device that didn't require moving my phone in and out. It works fine, but there are a few significant issues that have stopped me from considering another Oculus headset.
Cons:
• The onboard hard drive is nearly inaccessible without complicated, very technical procedures that need repeating anytime you want to put something on the device. While it's likely to be less frustrating for most users, the primary use for me involves files of my own creation. You can work around it with services like Dropbox, but it's an ordeal that didn't have to be.
• The headstrap is not sufficient to hold the headset in place well without having to tighten them enough to leave dents and occasional bruises on my face. The straps slip on any hair, so in order to use it, I have to use a bandana or other cloth covering to stabilize it. Part of the problem may be that the headset is VERY heavy, uncomfortably so.
• The single strip of plastic that holds the center strap (thus bearing the vast majority of the weight of the headset) is flimsy and snapped after less than a year of use, and the piece is so small that repair is not feasible. I've rigged a solution, but have to resecure it every time it gets used.
• The biggest issue, the one that convinced me to hold off on other Oculus products, are the glasses accommodations. The included glasses spacer does not leave enough room for glasses to not touch the lenses, and the lenses are absurdly easily damaged by even the slightest contact with glasses. But there's no way to easily repair or replace the lenses, and there's no warranty coverage for the damage, even if you've followed all the instructions and advice and user manual recommendations. The lenses were scratched and flawed in a way that made the device unpleasant to use within a few weeks, and have stayed that way since. Again, I rigged a way to keep it from happening, by making a foam spacer that sits under the mask in my forehead, but it also means additional strap tightening to keep light out.
• The image quality is not great. At its best resolution, it looks comparable to a CRT monitor. There's very little crispness, soft edges, and it doesn't look like HD. It's a significant flaw for something that's supposed to be immersive.
I've since gone back to my Gear VR, just with a dedicated phone. The picture and resolution are in every way superior, the interface is more intuitive, the manual focus eliminates the need for glasses management, it's easier to clean the lenses and they seem more durable overall, it's much more comfortable and significantly lighter, and the straps keep it much more secure, with no slipping and less damage to my face after wearing it for relatively long sessions. It's a shame they've ended support for the Gear VR, but hopefully by the time I need a replacement, either Oculus will have gotten better at it or another manufacturer will have entered the field.

I bought my husband the Oculus for his birthday because he said he wanted it to be able to watch available NBA games court-side. The regular basketball season hasn't started yet so he hasn't been able to use it for what he wanted, but he loves it anyway! He can watch Netflix and other app-based streaming shows in bed or on the couch without needing to crane his neck if he wants to lay down, and the picture quality is excellent. I watched an episode of AHS on it and was equally impressed and forgot where I was for the last 10 minutes of the episode. If you're interested in trying this technology out I say go for it- we highly recommend it and can't wait to get another one.

I just bought an Oculus Go headset and I’m really having a good time but all I see on here as far as movies is Netflix, Hulu or Showtime. When will you guys start adding more entertainment apps like Vudu or My Movies Anywhere, HBO, Amazon prime video etc.? Also is there any plans to add the MLB At Bat app or the NHL.com/NHL.tv app on the Oculus Go? I have subscriptions to both and use them currently on my iPhone, Roku and my Desktop PC to watch MLB and NHL games. I find it very odd that neither app is available (actually no MLB or NHL app is present!) and find it a real pain to use a browser to log into nhl.com to try and access live games which unfortunately will not work either using my headset so have to still use my Roku to watch..
When will these apps be available?? Per support they do not know :( Otherwise not bad

I think this is a great first-time VR experience. But if the Rift, Vive or Windows MR were your first experiences, it doesn't quite compare. This is mainly due to the Go only offering 3DoF, compared to 6DoF.
I mainly bought this as a way to watch movies either in bed or traveling, and for that purpose, I really love it.
The display quality easily rivals my Samsung Odyssey WMR unit. The built-in speakers are surprisingly nice.
The battery life, on the other hand, kinda stinks. Even when I power it off, the battery always seems to drain and it needs charged again before I can use it.
If you're looking for a low-cost, but pretty decent experience, I'd recommend the Oculus Go!

I'm having fun with this so far (went for the 64 GB model). It has a lot of free apps that you can get your feet wet with as far as VR is concerned. I might recommend buying an actual gamepad if you buy games that can support either the controller that came with the headset or a gamepad. A gamepad will give you better control. Watching my Blu-Ray collection via Plex on this thing is great. It's like I'm watching on a huge movie screen. That's what I've been doing the most. Battery life isn't so great (~2.5 hours) but I knew that when I bought it. But, given the price and the fact that you don't need a $600 phone for VR, I would buy this if you want to experience VR in the home.

I've been using the Oculus Go for a month now and its great as an entertainment device. By that I mean looking at youtube VR, Netflix, VR content in web browsers, etc. It's been great sitting back and enjoying VR content with the controller serving as your remote. The available games seem a bit "primitive" and I have not used it much as a gaming device. I purchased an Oculus Rift about a year and a half ago and came to the same conclusion with that device so maybe gaming on VR systems has just not arrived yet. It has the usual (for me) VR issue of condensation developing on the lenses. I gave 4 stars out of 5 because there are a group of pixels on the display that are bad and I will need to exchange the unit.

I was anticipating returning this but I kept it. First, it’s reasonably priced for what it is. Second, it’s a well made headset with good optics that is stand-alone so you don’t have to drain your phone. The software available is decent. It feels like there could be more but compared to the iOS App Store, everything feels that way. Watching 360 videos on it is great and there are some social apps that could be fun if more people adopt. Biggest complaint is battery life for the headset. It’s probably best not to use it for extended periods of time for health reasons but you’ll definitely want to plug it in when you’re done.

The technology itself is one of the main reasons why I think we all want to try virtual reality. It currently, in this incarnation, feels like a gimmick. How does it not support bluetooth headphones is beyond me. You would think that they would understand that you are buying this to lock yourself away from the world and get immersed in the one you are trying to experience. The surround sound is okay but you're going to hear background noise unless you go somewhere entirely quiet. The one controller is essentially telling you that you are going to be playing shooting games and only shooting games with it. There should be other controllers that come with it. This would allow all developers to make whatever they want instead of this VR point and click garbage.

Pretty good headset. Not as good as the oculus rift but I can see the appeal considering it has no wires and no computer required. Down side is you only get one controller and I’m not sure you could get a second one to use at the same time.
