This is a great buy. Intel Core i5-7400 delivers solid performance. 8 GB RAM is plenty for most applications and this is easily upgraded if you need a bit more. The best part is the GTX 1060 which delivers solid gaming performance for all but the newest and most graphics-intensive games. The internal setup is organized and neat. The fan is quiet - you can hardly even notice the computer is on. I like the color-changing LED on the front, but I also have the computer out of sight. The HP software provides a way to turn this off or have it hold a single color, but I've been unable to make that work properly. All in all, this is a solidly priced computer that should please all but the highest-end gamers.

This gaming PC is great for an entry level rig, I bought it for my son for his High School Graduation and he was blown away by how amazing all the games look and the cool features the case has. He had always played on his Xbox and waited until he had a good computer to play World of Warcraft on, and this unit didn't disappoint. However, I do have to say the hard drive went out after a week but with Best Buy's 15 day return policy we were in and out with a new one and he was back to gaming in no time.

All my friends build PCs so I was worried about the whole "Pre-Built" Stigma. However, this HP Omen has completely put all my doubts to rest. I tried building a PC but it would've been more expensive than this package so I jumped on it immediately. The PC itself is beautiful and the aluminum finish + lights on the front really makes it stand out. It runs whisper quiet, I've never heard it make a peep. Every game I own on Steam (40+ games) can be played on High settings and up. They look incredible, even with the 1060 only being 3gb. I have no regrets about buying this product. Just make sure you buy your own mouse and keyboard. The ones in the box should not be used unless you are just using this PC to browse the internet.

Good deal for the price. Not top end, but easy to upgrade at a later date. All of my games run smoothly and the computer is fast and dependable so far. Get one now at an entry level price, and upgrade as finances allow to build yourself a true high end gaming rig. Definitely recommended.

This is not the speediest computer, but it does just fine on mid-level gaming. I wish it was more expandable. As far as value goes, it is fair. There are better deals out there, but the HP service reputation swayed me to pay extra. I hope I don't need it. Several months of trouble free use bode well for long term use.

I got a great deal from Best Buy. Bought this pc for $700 plus a HP VR set. This PC looks great and handles all my games beautifully. I would recommend anyone buys this computer install a SSD and 8 more GB of RAM. Very happy with the purchase.

This computer runs great. I can run most games on almost ultra setting. But I stream on twitch so I don’t do that. But it is great for doing both at the same time. Would recommend getting another 8gb stick of ram.

I bought this PC for me and my girlfriend to do basic tasks on. Such as school work, movies and such. I knew the computer had a GTX 1060 for graphics but man I didn’t know how amazing it was. The game graphics are spectacular and I wasn’t even planning on it to be a gaming pc. The i5 processor is fantastic and holds its own when it comes to performance. I highly recommend this pc for any user.

This new Omen pc is just what I need for my graphics art programs and occasional gaming. It can play games on ultra without a problem. My art programs run smoothly and fast. Love the subtle lighting effects they are very nice without being annoying. Plenty of room for my programs, images, pictures etc. So far no problems, very satisfied. I did upgrade the RAM to 16gb.

My teenage son set it up and got it working for all his gaming "needs." Now he is using it for many other things and loves the storage, power and speed.

This a very good mid range and versatile PC. It has enough power and speed to keep up with about anything your doing. Great graphics card for any gaming, plenty of hard drive for all your photos, videos, etc. Very fast startup time, quick page load with the Intel Core i5 processor. Overall great for business and personal multitasking. I'm pleased with this purchase.

I'm very pleased so far. I didn't buy it for gaming but as a presentation computer for a church. We needed a strong graphics card to push hd video to 3 different displays (none mirrored). The i7 would have been a better processor, but we've had no issues. I will probably upgrade the hd to a SSD in a couple years & add some memory then too. All in all it's hard to beat.

This machine can handle dreams I haven’t had yet. Let’s just say I see it in my future. This is setup is fast, strong, and oh so functional.

This PC has decent potential. The ram out of the box is ok, definitely needed to add another stick of ram. The video card is decent and can hold its own. Very Happy with my purchase! The only issue I had was when updating for the first time my computer had issues. Every time i ran update it would freeze upon login and I would have to backdoor my way in and try restarting. I eventually gave up and cleared the hard drive and reinstalled windows. I haven't had an issue since. Runs great! I love the LED's in the face, gives it character.

I wanted to purchase a gaming computer, and while I am not a hard core gamer I do enjoy to play when I can. After a lot of research and indecision, I decided to forgo on purchasing a cheaper unit and opted for the HP Omen. I could not be happier with my choice. It is fast, quiet, and very smooth. It is a great option for a beginner or novice gamer.

Buy this computer! It will not disappoint! Being an IT tech, I was really criticizing other computers. This one takes the cake for awesome. Runs fast, reliable and easy to mod if you wanted too. I added another TB of RAM. Just plug and play. Super easy and super fast.

Honestly, to call this "entry level" is misleading, but that's how I have seen it described often. Out of the box, it played the games I cared about - Fallout 4, Mass Effect Andromeda, WoW, and Witcher 3 - on High/Ultra settings pretty well. Once I had more stuff on my computer, it did start to slow down. I decided to add more memory, and expected I'd have to order 2 8GB sticks since I had assumed the 8GB it came with was 2x4. I was pleasantly surprised to find it used a single 8GB stick, so all I had to do was pay $60 and two days later, this thing was a beast again. Besides adding an extra 8gb of memory, another cheap upgrade is a SSHD drive. You'll need to buy a SATA data cable to go with it, but, again, this computer was designed for upgrading and there's a socket to plug that cable into, and plenty of racks to slide in your platters. The only reason it looses two stars is that the GTX 1060 in it is not the usual 6GB card that you'd expect (it was only 3GB) and there was nothing I saw on the display that indicated this. Further, there is no slot for a NVMe drive. For what it's worth, the included keyboard and mouse are a joke, so don't count on using them. I wasn't, so I am not docking any stars for that. I got this at a sale price of $699, which seemed spot on. I don't know that I'd buy it at the full $800+ price though.

Great performance for the price! Won't be able to max out on ultra for really intense games, but I was able to easily max out on some older AAA titles. I'd recommend switching out the HDD for an SSD and maybe upgrading the RAM, but it works great as-is, especially if you're only worried about gaming.
