I got this phone on sale and I have to say, this is a blazing fast phone! It has useful subtle improvements over stock Android software, which is pretty boring.
My old phone's battery wasn't able to make it throughout the day anymore so this was a worthy upgrade.
The only bad thing I can say is that I hate the trend toward larger screens. I miss being able to easily carry a phone and do everything with one hand.
The colors on here are vivid, the screen refresh rate is fast, but I honestly just set it back to slower to get every bit of extra battery life I can. I don't play games on phones anymore, so it's not really important to scroll through webpages or pictures at 120Hz.
The camera is good, not the best. You can always find port of the Google camera app called Gport that will give you the post processing magic that Google's phones can do. Save yourself some money (and from being a beta tester for being the first to get buggy software) and get this instead!

I have been using this phone for just over 2 years, and it still works as well as the day I got it. The battery charges fast and last. I can play games, watch movies, stream music, and reply to emails and my batter will last 10-12 hours. I only gave it 4 stars because the back is glass and kind of slick, a case is needed.

Really good bang for your buck android. I have the base spec and the speed of the screen and the build quality are some of the best. Highly recommend for low budget buyers.

The phone display started showing the bright green line on the side.
It seems to be the manufacturer’s defect.
The phone worked properly for just 1 year after purchase.

The display has 3 lines which makes it very hard to use. For last 3 months the line is increasing. The battery is very low in lower as well. The worst decision I ever made to buy one plus

If camera quality is important to you - avoid this phone. I trusted the reviews and end up with the worst camera in 10 years. Now it is too late to return, I thought I did something wrong, couldn't believe that a camera can be so bad. You won't be taking any selfies with this phone, no nice crisp back camera photos either. And the group photos are the worst! It is like having a flip phone quality. Can't compare to Samsung, nor to huawei mate and definitely not to xiaomi. I am so disgusted with this phone's camera that I want to let others know. It is an absolute disgrace to advertise this phone as a flagship! To bad I can't upload photos of the same taken with xiaomi so you can see the difference.

Poor service almost everywhere I go, a storage bug that has "System" using 99% of my memory with the only fix being to wipe the device with a very possible chance of it coming back, camera is horrible and produces "fuzzy" photos a lot. Please do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY. I normally never leave reviews but please stay away from this headache.

Great Android Phone and Fast Charging is Excellent

My first non-Pixel phone in several years. I'm not super familiar with One Plus but the reviews I saw in a lot of places were very positive.
The screen size is great. I love the fingerprint reader built into the screen although not having one on the back of the phone like a Pixel will take some getting used to.
Battery life is excellent and I love the wireless charging. I have to say that the best feature has to be the warp speed charging. It really can go from almost dead to fully charged in about 30 minutes. Very impressive.
The camera is very good but I haven't had a chance to take a lot of photos yet. Pixels are hard to compete with for sure.
I think this is a great value for the price and number of "flagship" features.

I have always been a big fan of OnePlus. They include fast hardware and it runs Oxygen OS which is a huge bonus. The cameras have always been a little behind, but with the Hassleblad partnership, these cameras are just about as good as the flagship phones. They may not have all of the cool features, but will certianly get the job done. Wireless charging is now available, which is great to see. And 65W fast charging is incredible. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase

Overall, I love this phone. I was hesitant about OxygenOS because I was moving from a Pixel 4 XL, because I loved the stock Android experience and something like Samsung's One UI is really unappealing to me. There are a few things I would obviously love to have that are exclusive to pixels, but overall I think I prefer OxygenOS. I absolutely love the color of this phone. I also find it much more balanced than the Pixel 4 XL - that phone was top heavy and felt like it was going to fall out of my hand all the time, this phone just sits nicely and even though it's extremely slick I've never really felt as though I was going to drop it.
It does suck that I won't get speedy Android updates.
The cameras are also somewhat lacking in comparison to my pixel 4 XL, I think the OnePlus camera app is likely just using heavy post-processing that I don't like as much as the pixel's.
Battery life is definitely better than the 4 XL, although that's a pretty low bar. It could definitely be better, but it's sufficient for me.
The display is beautiful, color saturation can be customized which is amazing - I personally like much more vibrant colors, and the Pixel's don't have an option this vibrant. I would have liked to have a 1440p screen, but on a screen this size it really doesn't make a difference.

High-Performance Flagship at a Competitive Price

The OnePlus 9 is a strong contender in the high-performance smartphone market, offering flagship-level specs at a more competitive price point. With the powerful Snapdragon 888 processor and 120Hz AMOLED display, this phone delivers smooth performance whether you’re gaming, multitasking, or just browsing social media. The 5G connectivity and 128GB of storage add to its appeal, making it a great option for users who want speed and reliability without breaking the bank.
The camera setup, featuring a 48MP main sensor and 50MP ultra-wide, produces vibrant and detailed photos, enhanced by the partnership with Hasselblad. While it’s not the absolute best in mobile photography, it certainly holds its own in this price range. Battery life is solid, and the Warp Charge 65T fast charging is incredibly convenient, giving you a full charge in just under 30 minutes.
However, the phone does have a few drawbacks. The design, while sleek, might feel less premium due to the plastic-like feel of the back, and some users have reported occasional connectivity issues. Additionally, the lack of IP68 certification for the unlocked model means you’ll need to be careful around water.
Overall, the OnePlus 9 offers a lot of value for its price, especially if you’re looking for a powerful, high-performing Android phone that doesn’t come with the premium price tag of other flagships.

Great Phone, Several Shortcomings

This is both an impressive and underwhelming phone. If you're looking for a phone with a good camera, stop reading here and go buy something else. This phone has a TERRIBLE camera. No optical image stabilization (keeps the camera from shaking if you're moving a lot) at this price is absolutely ridiculous, especially since the camera is one of the big marketing features of this phone. Not to mention the image processing is just garbage here. You'd be better off getting something like the Pixel 4a 5G if you're interested in camera performance.
As far as the rest of the phone, it's RIDICULOUSLY fast. Seriously, you won't notice any stutters or slowdowns whatsoever and it's a great phone for gaming. The speakers are crazy good too when you're watching videos. The screen is bright and beautiful and the phone has a ton of custumisation options to make it look and feel just the way you want it to.
One thing I wish it would have is a better build quality. The back is made of glass but it feels like cheap plastic. Not only that, but the sides of the phone ARE made of plastic and the mute/vibrate switch on the side is very loose. It just doesn't feel like a $730 phone. If it was $500 or even $600 I could excuse these shortcomings, but not at this price. Phones like the Black Shark 4 that are just as powerful have full aluminum bodies which feel much better in the hand and are almost $250 less.
Overall, it's a decent phone, but I would wait for it to come down to around the $600 mark, as I think that's the sweet spot for this one.

It's a great phone for price.
It's super fast charging is awesome. The display, sound quality, battery all are in range of $1000 phones. I wish it had better camera(it's still better than other mid range phones).

Best Phone EVER!!!

I am a OnePlus fan for life!!! I have tried so many other phone brands and have circled back again to this one. I recently switched to Xfinity Mobile, which is on the Verizon network. I was nervous about getting this phone because of its compatibility. Most of the posts I have read say that the phone will work, but the text feature would not work correctly. No problems! I inserted the sim card and turned it on; it works like it was designed for the network. I dislike my other brand for many reasons; the proximity sensor does not turn the screen off when talking on it, leading you to press all kinds of icons while chatting. The time it takes for the other one to connect to the radio (Uconnect). The constant issues with connecting to the network, both cellular, and wifi; watching a YouTube clip or TikTok clip, you would have to switch from Wifi to Celluar, or it would go into a buffing mode. And yes, I went through the extent of checking my wifi network, including new modem and wifi extenders throughout the house, only to determine that it was the phone itself. This phone seems to be faster and more responsive. This is my second time with this phone as I was a Sprint/Tmobile customer, a locked device, and now I am an Xfinity customer with this unlocked device. I might go back for the 10 in a few more years.
