The game is excellent but challenging courses and you will crash a lot but the respawn feature helps a lot. Bought at a great price

Total arcade racer, but feels empty

This is such a tough review to make.. I absolutely LOVE how much of an arcade style racer this is. It really feels like this is a game you could sit down in at an arcade and have a blast playing. However, that really only goes so far once you realize this is not as much of a racing game as it is a multiplayer game all about racking up score. Every single event is about how fast you can go to rack up points or time. There are no 1st, 2nd, 3rd place etc. You're part of a team and you race against another team, all of you on the course at the same time. While this is incredibly fun for the first 15-20 mins, you start getting bored because its just you and a bunch of bots (AI multiplayer) with you racing around a track super fast with no real purpose. You're going to win A LOT. If you've ever played a multiplayer shooter with a bunch of bots, then you'll know what I'm talking about. Sure, it's fun, but it just feels empty... Overall it's a very fun game if you're playing with someone, but outside of that, it gets old very fast.

Onrush is the racing game for people that don’t like traditional racing games. It’s the Super Smash Bros. of the racing genre In Onrush, you’re not competing to finish the course in the fastest time. There are no laps, no passing cars, and no placings at the end – just a winning team and a losing team.

Rush is an arcade racing game at its core. It borrows from other better executed racing games like the Burnout series. You can customize your driver. However, beware of micro transactions to unlock other costumes/skins.

    Unusual 'racing'

It isn't obvious at all that this isn't a traditional racing game. In fact, it most ways it isn't even a racing game at all, since you aren't trying to follow a track exactly, and there are no 'positions', so no 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. Instead it's a combat game where your vehicle is your weapon and your speed is it's power. The vehicles are fun to control and the game looks great. Once you get used to how things work it's a lot of fun, but I still have trouble understanding how to win, as times I thought I was doing poorly I still won a round, and vice versa. If not for that issue I'd give it 5 stars.

I bought this game for 8 dollars and I am pretty sure it still is. At this price, the game is a steal. It is a great arcade racing game and CodeMasters knows how to do it right!

Codemasters has succeeded in making a fun and unique arcade style video game. If you are looking for a racing game, however, you will be disappointed, as this is not exactly a racing game. It has that Burnout/Jak X crashing style, but this game is about things like crashing to get points or to go through checkpoints. The graphics are beautiful, also it is very hard to see from all the chaos (hahaha). The cars are easy to drive and the different modes are very fun. It may be too easy and sometimes feel a little repetitive. But it is hard for me to say that I didn't have fun playing the game.

There's a game (onrush) is a underrated Game packed with fun more than one way to win you don't have to pass the finish line first to win as long as a teammate on your team passes the finish line first you all win it's very fun jumping over or on other cars to gain the lead great sense of speed racing love it and the different courses. This game is very underrated loads of fun!

Wow what a amazing game. This game is not your typical racing game for sure,it has a twist to it,and that's what makes it fun, instead of trying to win 1st place you try to destroy your opponents, how cool is that!!.such fun.and amazing graphics for sure.

This was a fun game to add to my collection. I an a casual gamer, as are my kids, so we're not the get it on release date types (except for Madden). The price of this game made it well worth it. Fun and challenging.

Racing has always been my favorite video game genre. It has been dying over the generations thanks to lower sales and risk-averse companies not willing to finance their development. Codemasters is one of the few companies remaining that makes quality racing games, and Onrush might be their most ambitious and unique one yet. Instead of competing a set amount of laps by yourself, you are part of a team tasked to do a certain task with a specific benchmark. Despite them cycling through the same five or so events, it never gets old, and your AI teammates more than hold their own.
