First time owning a projector and we are not disappointed. Easy to install and operate. After research and availability, i decided to go this one. I’m not a gamer but appreciate the fast refresh rate and crisp picture. Sound is very basic and I don’t think you will watch a movie or project anything without connecting a set of external speakers. No case included so i decided to adapt a harbor F tools hard case to it and fits like a glove. Now I take it wherever i see an opportunity to set up an outdoor home theater complemented with a pair of Bose portable speakers (old version) and a Firestick or apple TV.

Very good projector. 4k quality video is very good. Only issue that i face is.. to get 120inch screen i need to put my projector atleast 12-13ft away from wall. At 10.5-11ft distance, it gives 100inch. So, if it has some optical zoom, then it would have been awesome. Hence, 4 star.

Great Value and Performance 4K Projector Option

We purchased this to build a theater room in the basement. 4 people in the house, 2 teenage boys who play video games so refresh rate was a factor when deciding on this projector. It had solid ratings as a top 10 projector and best in gaming option while still having 4k and high contrast and black levels. Install was easy, menu's are easy, remote lights up in very bright, lots of auto sensing with the HDMI. 2 HDMI inputs were not needed but one is 4k 60hz and other is 4K 30hz. I purchased a Yamaha Receiver with HDMI switching and 4K support to handle the source switching. Ended up doing a 120" screen and had to mount projector around 13 to 15 feet back on the ceiling. Couldn't be happier with this purchase and the kids love it! Movie night really draws you into the movie compared to a smaller size TV. If you are in the market and on a budget but still want high quality and 4K, this is a great option!

    Great 4K Projector

This is my first 4K projector so I have nothing to compare with. But it does the job perfectly. The 4K quality is great and the picture is bright. Ceiling mounting was a bit of a work due to the manual keystone correction but otherwise a great product. The eco mode is bright enough and sufficient to show a good HDR picture. only annoying this is that it searches for an input for a few seconds while switching sources on my receiver. And the package that it came in was pathetic. Its a shame that best buy ships such expensive stuff in poor packaging and with no shock protection whatsoever. It was left abandoned at my front door.

This projector looks amazing even on 1080p since I’m still using the old Xbox one... I can’t even imagine what “4K” content looks like! The colors pop and I haven’t even changed the settings yet. But if anyone has recommendations let me know! Installation was easy and focusing on the screen. This projector is very quiet on regular mode, once you switch to bright mode or non eco the fan kicks on but still not that loud. The remote backlight is super bright I love it! I have it set up to a 7.2 4K onkyo receiver and let me tell you i hear every single sound coming out of a game or movie. I connect the hdmi straight to the receiver and then into the Xbox and I’m so glad it worked because I’m sure the audio through the aux port isn’t as good. The only complaint I have is when installing the projector to your universal ceiling mount the screws from the mount to the projector didn’t screw down far enough as I wanted.... it’s been a month and still up using it everyday in my basement! I recommend it to anyone wanting a budget 4K projector.

I was very excited to get this projector home having just upgraded from the HD28HDR which was quite good and half the price. The excitement soon turned to anger after the new projector began showing both the left and right sides at different lighting levels which created a visible line straight down the center of my screen. Additionally, the projector from time to time does not allow the sound to pass through it requiring me to reselect the input multiple times before sound eventually pass through this system. As if that wasn't bad enough, I now have a bright white dot on the screen which is visible at all times. For further clarity, just imagine what it would be like if someone were to shine a flashlight on your screen while you were viewing a movie and this would be the experience I am having. I have try calling optima to get help with this however no one seems to be answering the phone.

Very good projector. 4k quality video is very good. Only issue that i face is sometimes there is a split of display like left half of the screen is lighter than the right half of the screen. I have to switch the hdmi input to get that correct. But overall display / picture quality is solid for gaming and movies.

This projector great purchase. Two HDMI port allowed me to connect my Xbox as well as Directv receiver. The gaming mode is unbelievable with auto HDR, and clean crisp affects that you get from gaming mode. Also apps on Xbox / PlayStation also had Auto HDR steaming shows & movies. I bought this one because I wanted to upgrade an older model projector I previous had. Do not hesitate to buy this unit. I’m extremely happy with mines. I even got a price match of 200 dollars 3 weeks after I bought mines at 1299.99 and marked down price 1099.99 went into Best Buy within seconds I got 200 dollars credited back to my card.

Everything is great except for the display throw angle. Needs to sit kinda low so the screen doesn't display on the ceiling.

Wow. This is a great projector. The main reason was for outdoor movies, but I tried a "short throw" projector and it would need to be in the middle of my swimming pool to be 300" screen. Obviously that wouldn't work, so I upgraded to the 4k/3D UHD30 and couldn't be happier. In the house, it has to sit farther back to project a 120" screen than the short throw, but i really needed this for my back yard.

Beautiful projector. Easy setup. Very user friendly. 730 hours in I have a pixel out. It’s got a very short warranty period. I would buy an extended plan if I could. It’s a $500 repair. I’ll just live with the pixel being out.
