Plastic doesn't last as long but the price was right. Wish the slots were a little longer so the Arnold's Rye Bread would fit! All in all it's a great toaster and we love the retro look!

Everything is plastic and feels flimsy. It may do the job - but you can spend a lot less money for a toaster that will toast your bread.

Posted .Thank you for reaching out to Oster®. We are sorry to hear that your toaster toasts slowly. No worries, we are here to help. In some cases, this is caused by a build up of crumbs in the bottom of the toaster. You may try to unplug the unit. Let it rest for few minutes and turn it upside down to see if some bread crumbs will come out. Afterwards, try using the toaster again. Also, the toaster must be plugged in to a direct wall outlet and have power running to it, otherwise the toaster will now work properly.
Your Oster® 2-Slice Toaster has a year limited warranty. If this wouldn't help fix the issue, we'd like to kindly request that you contact us directly in order to help you get to the best resolution. Have a good day!

Please take note that with Oster toasters, when bagel setting is used, the toasting period is longer as compared to regular toasting due to the bagel/bread's thickness.
