Never was a big fan of the otter box because it was to big and bulky. But I was completely surprised how far the product has come, they thought about everything with the iPhone, the back panel has a cushion to protect the glass in the back... every little detail was well thought of and I’ll be a fan from now on. I just don’t use the belt clip.

I have owned an iPhone from as long as I can remember. Until the past two years, I never broke my screen. That said, I have broken my screen 4 times in the past two years. Maybe the bigger phones are cumbersome? Enter the Defender Pro Case. Major protection for a device I use everyday. While I don't use the clip function on my belt, it does protect the screen from drops. Most of these that caused breaks was from my dashboard Pop Socket not holding onto my iPhone Xs Max if I breaked quickly. The phone would fall onto my hard hand break, hit the screen and crack. This device protects against breaks when/if falling. The only challenge I had, was the Pop Socket wouldn't adhere to the silicone backing of this case to allow me to place on my dash (again, yes). Thankfully, Gorilla Glue solved that. Pop Socket successfully adhered to back, hard cover on front, and phone is ready on dash if needed. Perfect for me to break my screen breaking streak.

I’ve always had otterbox products for the just in case moments. I was exhausted enough today to finally put my paranoia of “just in case” to the test. Stopped to get gas. Left my phone on top of the car. Drove to the bookstore. Shopped. Realized I didn’t have my phone and thought I left it at work (for about 2 minutes) before I remembered I used the phone before pumping the gas. Almost went had a heart attack when I found out the big noise I heard earlier was the phone sliding off the car. Drove back down Germantown Parkway slowly looking for the phone on the ground. Found it face down at an intersection I turned at earlier. The case looked so bad that I just knew my phone was dead & gone. MIRACULOUSLY there is not a scratch on this phone. You can’t even tell the phone was run over like a hundred times!!! All hail otterbox!

Very happy with my defender pro from otter box made for the new iPhone XS max. Fits perfect with the belkin glass screen protector that apple installs at their Apple stores. Perfect fitment around the screen and excellent grip. Would recommend with the quickness

I have always been a fan of Otterbox Defenders and I have used them on nearly every iPhone I have owned since the iPhone 4. The Defender case for the iPhone X had some issues, mainly it would make noise when holding the phone, or pressing buttons (like plastic rubbing and squeaking). I chose not to use that case because of those issues. Thankfully, Otterbox improved the quality of this Defender Pro case and it feels great on my phone and in my hand. No squeaking or rubbing sounds so far. It fits very solidly and the rubber is nice and tight as compared to some previous generations. The power button requires almost no force to push, which is great, but the volume buttons will take some time to break in. ***A large amount of the negative reviews for this case are from those who don't seem to understand that this case is LARGE, it is large so that it can protect your $1100-1500 phone. Also, a lot of negative reviews call out Otterbox for not including a built in screen protector as they did on some of the previous generations, I am glad they did remove those cheap plastic protectors from their cases. Dirt and dust would always get trapped behind them and end up scratching the screen.*** Some people need to understand this case is meant to protect your phone from drops, NOT water or debris. If you need a built in screen protector, water protection and debris protection, get a Lifeproof FRE' case, not a Defender.

I have been using this case for a couple of weeks and I'm definitely satisfied. One thing that is bittersweet is that case totally engulfs the phone which is great for protection but at the same no one gets to admire the beauty of the phone. New phone straight out of box into the case. One thing I dislike is that if the case is facing vertical which is more comfortable for me, your body is constantly hitting the side buttons especially getting in and out of car so it is activating Siri accidentally. Not a major hassle but can be a bit annoying. Other than, the case is great. The case seems sturdy. It clips the phone well. It is easy to attach and detach the phone from the clip. The clip works well with belts and Jean's not so much with sweatpants but it does the job. Overall, it's a bit pricey definitely worth the money especially if you can avoid repair costs from accidents.

This case provides more than adequate protection for your phone. The phone fits tight in the case so there is no movement. The outer rubber shell of the case makes gripping the case very easy. The only thing that I don’t like about the case is the bulkiness and the heavy weight of it. Other than that, great case!

Absolutely love the safety and durability of OtterBox and the Defender model of phone cases. It does add to the size of the phone but so worth it in the increased protection of a very pricey piece of technology. The color is also fun and different than so many others with the same level of protection. I have been an OtterBox- Defender user for my iPhone for over 10+ years. It has successfully protected my phone from multiple drops. This model does not have the full screen protection so would suggest purchasing that in addition for even more protection.

Would have to give this Defender Pro case 5 stars. Excellent grip, maximum protection. Also love the whole design factor, very well made. Yes it adds bulk but after a day or two it won’t even be bothersome. Small price to pay for top protection and best grip I’ve gotten out of my many other cases. Go ahead and make the purchase, you won’t regret it. Gold iPhone XS.

I have consistently bought an otter box for ever iPhone I’ve owned. It has not failed me yet. It does make your sleek phone a bit bulky but I have four kids and it has survived them for years. It really protects your phone against drops and bangs. The newer model for the iPhone X will require a separate purchase for the screen protector. This model does not come with one.

Great protection including covers charging port Easy to grip & hold Needed to cover charging port because pocket lint built up & would not work until Geek Squad cleaned it out. Somewhat costly for case but provides great all around protection; after all phone is way more costly. Would buy again.

I purchased this case for my mom's new Iphone XS MAX. She wasn't too sure about how she felt about a case without a screen, but loves the protection from Otterbox. I bought her a Zagg tempered glass to go along with it, and she was sold. It fits great in hands. No complaint.

Good protection for the IPhone XS MAX. Only thing that should change is a screen protector. There’s nothing for the screen. Not too bulky and I use it with the belt clip. Nothing fancy just durable solid black phone case for a VERY expensive phone.

I bought the OtterBox Defender for protection of my new iPhone Xs Max. I know from past experience it only takes one drop to crack the screen. Like the new color of my OtterBox the only thing wrong with the case is it doesn't have the circle around the apple logo. I think if it had that circle with the 2 tone like the front it would really stand out thats why I gave it 3 stars

I can say that this is the highest level of protection you can get, but it is bulky like it as well. Overall it is great, but with the new iPhone it cannot protect the screen anymore since the entire front is a screen, so be aware that it cannot protect against drops that are screen down. The white and blue color combo is great and makes it easier to spot when you set it down than the black case traditionally is.

The otter box defender is a great case. I wanted a really goo protective case but not with the screen covering found on many. I already had the armor screen protection put on the screen. It fits perfectly and I feel that it protects the phone very well. I also wanted the phone to be able to fasten to my belt or as I do pocket of my jeans. This offered the clip that the case fits into which also protects the face. Great case and great price
