I wanted compact lightweight camera with good optical zoom and macro as well. High resolution for good quality after cropping too. I have not used all features yet, but did make lots of stills on vacation and a couple short videos. No functional complaints. I would have done more if the manual were easier to use and less complicated. There is lots of capability but it takes lots of homework and experimentation to use that capability.

I’m not a camera/gadget expert but I bought this camera solely for the zooming capabilities and its size, which I’m happy with. Pictures don’t look great in low light/darkness, but that was to be expected. The ones I’ve taken outdoors during the day look fantastic. Some occasional blurring around the edges of the photo, but it’s not noticeable unless zoomed in. The video recordings are super clear and high quality.

I LOVE this camera! It takes beautiful photos. I use automatic settings for the most part but there are many ways to adjust the settings for those who prefer more control over their photos. I take photos of items for online sales and this camera takes the clearest, sharpest photos with true colors. It has a Leica lens, one of the best, in my opinion. I can't say enough about it.

This camera has great features, although I'll admit that the biggest pro over my old camera is the video. That said, I was in the market for a higher-end point-and-shoot and decided upon this. I wanted a viewfinder so I didn't have to always look at the screen, so thought the extra money on this camera was well spent. That all said, the camera is a bit thicker than I'd like. I find myself using my cell phone for photography more and more because I just don't want to carry the bulk of a camera. I was hoping this was a little thinner, a little lighter. That's really the only reason I took a star off, other than wondering when they will next make big leaps in the quality of the photo (maybe we've plateaued) so I can feel justified in replacing my old camera that really is just as good except for the video.

This is the 4th or 5th Panasonic ZS series camera I've bought. Although the ZS70 is not the latest one, it has a 30x zoom, which is a feature I wanted in my point-and-shoot. I'm a little more serious at photography than the average point-and-shooter, I think, but I wanted the long zoom and realize I've sacrificed some of the picture quality to be had in the newest ZS100. That said, ZS70 still has a lot of features and all of my Panasonics have given me good quality photos. The LCD on this one has a lot more capabilities than my last ZS50. Although the LCD screen swings up (to facilitate selfies), I wish it would swing down. I'm not likely to take very many selfies, but it would have been great to be able to tilt the screen down and hold the camera over my head. That is a missed opportunity for Panasonic, in my book. If you want amazing zoom in a pretty-close-to-pocket-sized camera, this is the one for you. If you want amazing picture quality, you might want to look to the ZS100, which has a 1 sensor (compared to the ZS70's 1/2.3 sensor) even though both cameras are rated at 20 megapixels.

There are very compact cameras with a view finder. The other one isa sony model but the Viewfinder in Sony is flimsy. Very good features. Some features are tricky : if you set the shutter to eshtr then you cannot turn on flash etc. But the zoom level and compactness is impressive for the quality we get.

It saves in RAW, and that's what I wanted. Wish it had a faster lens, bt the reach in optical is nice. The video is very nice with different ways of recording the sound. I do say this is NOT a beginner camera, the auto stuff is so-so, the ability to manipulate the manual settings makes this work...but I really wanted it to work. Managing the settings takes quite a bit of getting used too, it's not really intuitive. And there are still a lot of functions I know I'm not using. This is for someone what knows cameras and can read the book or sit for long periods of time and figure out all the settings.

I bought this Panasonic because off previous good experience with another of same brand that still working after 10 years, the only difference this is built in China my previous from Japan but so far it’s very good camera good quality’s pictures and easy auto photography a lot of technology, I hope will last.

My wife is been doing a lot of research on a click and shoot type of camera. She knows I complain about liking my big single lens reflex around with multiple lenses she didn't want that. Several friends told us that they like this brand of camera and she has to agree that it's an outstanding choice

This camera is great to have in addition to my smart phone especially because of the 10x optical zoom and the large sensor...2 things that smart phones do not yet have.

A compact camera packed with loads of function. I bought this camera for traveling photos need. Can't wait to try it out on real trips.

Didn’t want to lug around my Sony6000 all the time. Decided to get something smaller and compact. This camera is amazing. The quality of the photos and the 4K video too. Definitely recommend especially for travel or if you’re a blogger!!!

I am so happy I’ve made this camera purchase. I’m always traveling, and for a relatively small camera it has a stellar sharp high power zoom and surprisingly great image and 4K video quality. It has become my go to camera over the not easy to travel with dslr.

Amazing camera! For a 1/2.3 sensor, it does remarkably well in low light. Compared to the highly rated Lumix FZ300, this compact superzoom has more features in a significantly more compact design. The high resolution, numerous filters, time delays, flash syncs and other custom settings beat the majority of bridge cameras on the market. The aperture ring, viewfinder and tilting touch screen were what attracted me to this camera in the first place, but Panasonic's remote image app was the icing on the cake. The app works flawlessly, allowing you to control virtually any camera & video setting from your phone. While this is a compact camera, it is a brick of a compact. You won't find yourself tucking this in the pocket of your jeans comfortably. With the battery installed, it comes in at 300 grams (10.58 oz). It's a chunky thickness of 4.1", 4.3" wide and 2.75" tall. The camera comes with a battery, a charging cord (and a short one at that) and the manual. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of a wall charger. Charging the camera with the battery installed is an accident waiting to happen. The cord is too short for it to rest comfortably anywhere out of the way. I went ahead and ordered a wall charger and two extra batteries to make life easier. Other than that, I have no complaints. Great design, great features, awesome camera! I waited months for this to release and it was worth every penny!

I purchased this camera because I I had a seperate camera and camcorder before and it seemed silly to have two seperate items when I could buy one camera that accomplishes both. The ability to see the screen when recording was the biggest must for me, so I love the flip up function. I also like the wifi connection. The app is a bit clunky but it does the job of letting me transfer pics from my camera to my phone without having to wait till I'm in front of my laptop. A great purchase for the price!

This is my first camera & it is very nice & I think its it's easy to use but but thought I would have more options on the settings. Otherwise definitely recommend!

It has great zoom, screen flips up for selfies, WIFI capable and easy to use. The pictures are amazing even in auto mode. But this camera does so much more. It comes with a manual for basics but online is the advanced manual, 300 pages.

Bought this little camera to take on a trip.It fits in my medium size purse which is nice.I didnt use it a ton on the trip but did take nice photos.
