I have been wanting a mirrorless camera for a while but the price was usually cost-prohibitive. I am just getting back into photography after a 20-year hiatus and wanted something that I wouldn't mind bringing around with me most of the time. This is compact and powerful. The 16 megapixels is perfect since it will have a great print quality up to 16 X 20. It's light, compact and takes great pictures. There are so many bells and whistles on this that I'm amazed its priced so low. Having it come with two lenses is a real money saver. I purchased also purchased a 1.8 25m prime lens and feel I have a perfect kit for any shots I want to take.
All of this, camera body and 3 lenses fit in a small camera handbag that is easy and light to carry. It's easy and quick to change lenses and the controls make it easy to switch the ISO and aperture and shutter speed. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and love the versatility.

It's a good camera that is definitely more ob the cheaper side in terms of mirrorless cameras. The extra lens saved me a lot of money. I wish it would work even when plugged in for video purposes, though. That's okay, it can be remedied with a dummy battery anyways.
Overall really good, would recommend.

I like to bird and look for critters to photo while I hike, so I wanted a smaller camera with interchangeable equipment. I have the 2 lens that came with, then separately ordered the G Vario 100-400. I'm totally able to carry the larger lens on the camera for long hikes with elevation without any issues. I'm no pro, just absolutely love taking photos. I'm enjoying trying different settings while taking wildlife and landscape shots. Bottom-line, this camera works for my needs.

This ICL camera is fun to shoot with. Big camera results from a small form factor. Who says you can't get good bokeh from a small camera? Give me 24-26 megapixels and a tilting flip-out screen, I'd be more happy.
Surprisingly 16mp is really nice.

The fact that this comes with two lenses is amazing for this price point. I mostly have used the 52mm ( 45-150mm)
I recommend this for those who are past the technical aspects and want to use their knowledge in manual mode.

this camera has so many cool features , it would probably take me an hour to write about it all. You have to dive into it and spend a good amount of time learning all it’s tricks. I picked this kit with two lenses up for $500. Its an amazing value at this price. The 12-32mm and 45 - 150mm lenses both have optical stabilization and work in tandem with the in body sensor stabilization. Resulting in smooth, crisp, sharp hand held photos and videos. My favorite thing about this camera has to be its small size. It fits in the palm of my hands. The 45-150mm lens fits in my cargo short pocket. So cool.
I have a blast taking photos and videos with it. I love that people don’t even pay much attention to me with this camera in hand. If you’re into street / travel photography, this is the camera to have.
Pros : Sharp, Crisp photo and video quality in a compact body. Dual Image stabilization
4K video at 100mbps
Many affordable prime lenses available
Great value
Cons: battery life. Pick up a spare Battery or two
Evf is not the greatest. But it’s fine.

Disappointed

Waste of money and very disappointed. Pictures are extremely low quality, even with all the changes in settings. Pictures were all dimly lit no matter what settings I tried to adjust, the pictures had huge shadows and/or looked like they were taken in the dark. There are difficulties with the WIFI function connectivity and even uploading pictures via USB on my laptop proves difficult (took me hours for less than 100 pictures). Bought it initially for a trip to Moab and Utah National Parks..ended up literally using my Galaxy S21 for pictures because the quality was THAT different. I missed the deadline to return it so I will be selling it. My first digital camera was a Nikon and the quality of that one was incredible in comparison to this one.

I'm a lot happier with this camera than I expected to be. Not that I thought it would be bad, its just that this was my second choice behind the G85. I decided on this one primarily because the G85 was unavailable, but once I looked at the specs, its very comparable.I've been very happy with it as its overall a great camera. Here's my take: I purchased this primarily for video which it does very well; no limit on recording! I also wanted the focus stacking feature that is unique to Panasonic. However, I was disappointed that the kit lens (12-32) does not come with a focus ring. It's strictly AF. probably not a huge concern for most but a bummer for me. I'm also disappointed in the view screen. It does not seem to have active display ie it doesn't change the display based on the ISO, SS and Aperature which is strange to me as Canon and Sony both offer this. I thought this feature was standard for digital cameras. What this means is, unless you know what you're doing with ISO, SS and AP what you see on screen is NOT what you get. Overall I'm happy with it.

Ease of use is pretty good, somewhat of a learning curve. Actually a really good camera. Docked a star because the battery life is not great and focus is ok. Overall a good camera, just be sure to buy a spare battery.

Does what I need it to do. Only issue is that if you want to use this for longer video recording, you will need to buy a separate dummy battery, as this camera cannot be charged while it is recording.
Pictures come out very crisp, UI is simple yet provides all the functions needed from a camera, and the provided lens add a ton of extra value, especially the telephoto lens.
Definitely get this camera if you're looking for something really good for the price.

Before I bought the gx85 I had an Olympus omd em5 mark 1, although the Olympus was a nice camera that had weather sealing, good looks, and a metal build the gx85 was nicer overall because it had a no nonsense design, premium plastic build, built in flash which can tilt, and it has a feature that the omd didn’t which was focus peaking. The focus peaking made using vintage lenses a breeze. The lenses that came with the gx85 are okay; they work better in an environment with plenty of light, and getting outstanding still shots are definitely manageable even though they’re not the premium type of lenses; just make sure it’s a bright day.
