The b bop 2 is one awesome drone I can't wait to see what's next

Great drone for the beginner - It has more that the other brands. Was able to use immediately.

Bought item new opened box 2 hours later when I got home to find the battery and charger missing. Damage to the propellers and extra security stickers all over inside the box.

I love this done and have used it for the past 6 years with no issues. It’s GPS and camera work perfectly. For a old drone it still runs great!

For the money this drone is very good. After 20 or so flights I feel I can somewhat give a fair evaluation of this drone. The good: - Drone has a solid quality feel -Very easy to fly, controls are easy even for beginners -Has some nice features for the price point, button controlled auto take off and landing. Will hover in place nicely. When you let off the controls there is little to no drift. -Flight plan in the APP is awesome in that it will follow a waypoint track even with no signal from the controller. -Decent battery capacity and extra batteries are affordable compared to other manufacturers. -Drone app is easy to use with Sky controller 2. -Video quality is good not great, for not being gimbal mounted it's really good in not showing the side to side roll of the craft. -From the factory you are limited to 492ft altitude. -The app has a lot of nice features for controlling many aspects of flight and video/photo controls. -Flight app also has GPS flight plan and Follow me features, each feature will cost the user $20.00, so you will spend $40 to have these features. The bad: - Range is okay at best, you WILL NOT get anywhere near the manufacturers advertised range. In an open field I lost reception at 1100ft. If there are trees its more like 800ft. Flying higher helped but not much. This was not a big deal to me because I normally don't fly further than 600-800ft away anyways. If I want to go further I just use the flight plan part of the app. -Battery capacity has averaged 16-18min. -You cannot land the drone manually, you must push the land button, I really wish the drone would allow me to get lower to the ground because it kinda plops on the ground after you press the land button. -The drone will not tell you how long the battery will last nor will it automatically return when the battery is low, you must watch the battery level. -No hazard avoidance in any direction except to keep it from landing. Overall I feel this drone is solid for the price, the app extra costs are a real bummer. So far, Overall I would recommend this drone.

Pros: great video quality, easy to fly, good control both using the phone as well as the sky controller 2, compact and solid construction, nice features such as 1080p cam, gps, follow me, flight plan etc. Cons: failed to connect to iPhone (but works with android), occasional disconnection while flying, small memory (8 gigs).

The Parrot Bebop 2 is an excellent drone. It takes great video, has great range, lasts for over 20 minutes on a charge, and the price (especially on sale) is fantastic. I have had every DJI product except the Inspire over the years. The Bebop competes directly with the Spark. The Bebop 2 is better than the Spark in my opinion. The Spark only has a 2D gimbal so when you go sideways, the shot gets ruined. The Bebop 2 does some kind of trickery to not require a mechanical gimbal, but it is amazing. You can go side to side and the shot is totally steady. You won't be using this to make a Hollywood movie or television commercial but it is perfect for personal use. The Return To Home feature really works. If you lose connection with the craft, it comes right back to where you took off. If you are new to the hobby or a veteran, the Parrot Bebop 2 is definitely worthy of your consideration. I sold my Spark to fund it and I have no regrets.

I bought this preceding a visit to Crater Lake National Park thinking that I would be able to get stunning pictures of the place. Quickly realised that ALL national parks are strictly off limits for drone use. Since then, however I have used it in my backyard, in some local trails and for domestic purposes such as roof inspection :-). The drone captures stunning footage, is very easy to manuover using both the included flight controller and smartphone and the battery lasts a full 25 minutes. The first person viewer needs some getting used to however not because of any design issues but because of distance perception. Overall a good investment for enthusiast use.

The Parrot Bepop 2 is everything I expected from a drone. It’s stable in the air, responds flawlessly to commands and takes fantastic video. It’s easy to fly and the battery lasts at least 25 min. That’s how long I flew it before my fingers were freezing off.

Very responsive, fast and fun. seems semi professional drone to have fun with and to get very high quality pictures and 1080 p video which looks fantastic. holds very well when windy and gives me range up to 1 mile. outside of town. it is a great product and I highly recommend.it.

We fought we purchase this drone recently at Best Buy. Although I saw many reviews that weren't exactly the greatest about this drone and the original Bebop we love the looks of it and its compact size. I also own a 3dr solo and enjoy using it all the time. Distran was bought for my girlfriend. This drone has done nothing but surprise us with its quality and stability. It's peppy quick and responsive. Sometimes weather can get in the way with this drone cold weather can make the quality of the video is not as great as in warm weather it can also mess with the sonar. Button warm weather or even mildly cold weather this thing performs very amazing and has great battery life. The one thing that bothers me about BestBuy as they don't carry enough Bebop to accessories so you'll have to go online to get propellers and cases that are cool for the Bebop 2. But parent is an awesome company that has a lot of stuff for the Bebop 2 which makes stuff easy to find and accessories. This drone was an all-around surprise and a great solid purchase. Right out of the box this drone flies and flys well and is full of the fun Factor by the way it also take some really good video. I recently offered my girlfriend a chance to trade her Bebop for a more expensive drone and she told me NO!

I've looked into buying a better quality drone since getting my son what was basically a toy 2 years ago & found that if there's anything more than heavy breathing it was impossible to fly. I drooled over the DJi Phantom 3 but it was just too expensive until the recent price drop & couldn't justify the expense. The original Bebop didn't impress me & neither did the Bebop 2 at its original price. BUT, the price drop for the Bebop 2 FPV made this the ideal drone for what I wanted it for. Not nearly as big as the Phantom 3 but having pretty good video & picture taking while having a long lasting battery the Bebop 2 also has an excellent software package with the option of purchasing Follow Me & FlightPlan features for an additional $20 each (kind of offsets the price drop but well worth the additional expense). In just the couple of days I've had this I've now used it with my IPad, my Samsung S6 Edge+, my son's IPhone & the Skycontroller and I have to say that flying was never easier or more fun! Out of the box the BB2 was limited to a maximum height of 30' but once I connected my phone or IPad to the Skycontroller I was able to change numerous parameters to better suit my needs & have had this drone up high enough to make you dizzy looking around. While using my phone or IPad, I won't go much above the house (large 2 story) as 1 time I went to about 75 or 80' and it lost contact with the drone! While initially in a panic, I had set the drone to return home within 20 seconds without getting a signal from my controller & the drone just hovered there without budging an inch before it started to return home but once it came to about 40' I was able to reconnect to my phone & haven't had any issues since. I haven't yet been able to test the distance capabilities as I want to bring it to an open area first. Follow me works amazing as long as you follow instructions & set it up properly. They give you a 15 day trial for each add on but I'll be buying them soon. The Bebop 2 is very easy to fly--I've never flown a drone before and haven't had any problems flying this, it takes off & lands with the press of a button & the controls are very smooth without jerking the drone rapidly out of control & you can set the parameters to be as sensitive as you like. Some reviews around the web have knocked the BB2 for poor picture quality but I've watched images & videos on my 60" tv & they looked quite impressive & I'm a very discerning videophile. While other drones may have better image quality according to their users, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the image quality from this--even flying at night the image didn't get pixelated or filled with 'noise'. Even my wife was impressed and that's just not easy to do with electronics! If you're considering this, I would wholeheartedly recommend it. IMHO, the only con is that recordings are limited to 8gb as the drone only has onboard system memory & doesn't have the option to add any external memory. I had 1 flight today of about 13 minutes and used 1.3 go or so on the 'Standard' mode. I haven't even tried high quality yet as I wanted to see how the image looked in just the standard mode first. The drone is rated for 25 minutes of fight & I've gotten at least that on every charge, which takes about 55 minutes for an empty battery using the included charger.

Best deal for the money extremely stable great pictures long range

I wanted a drone and I hit it right on the head with this one. Great battery life and easy to fly. FPV is wicked cool. Didn't want to spend a thousand dollars and I am very happy with my choice. It's survived a few crashes already and I just need some replacement blades. Very pleased!

Great starter drone. This drone has a very good range, is easy to fly, and has a lot of features that you wouldn't expect at this price point. 1080p camera isn't the state of the art anymore, but you'll find it takes crisp pictures and video that will satisfy all but the most serious aerial photographer/videographer. My only complaint is that apparently the SkyController 2 control unit has issues. Mine at first took a loooong time to charge, then after a week would accept no charge at all. A visit to Parrot's customer forum shows that a lot of people are experiencing charging issues with this control unit. Fortunately, Parrott has a 1 year warranty on this unit (DO keep your receipt!), and are replacing it. unfortunately, they require that ALL the items in the bundle be returned, which means I had to return a perfectly good drone that I could've flown quite happily with a smartphone or iPad (albeit at less than the maximum advertised range; I could go about 1000' before losing a signal and activating the RTH function). All in all, I think this is a great way to see if drones are something for you. If you get the drone 'bug', you can step up to one of the 4k camera drones from DJI and others.

Got this on a black Friday special which was pretty decent. I only flew it around once as it has been rather cold and snowy this time of year in Wisco. I only gave it 4 stars because after I bought it I realized bestbuy for some reason stopped selling parts for it for whatever reason and I now have to get them off Amazon . Other than that if you want a cool adult toy that from what I understand is easier to fly than the cheap ones, this is the one to get. You get what you pay for right?

This drone is extremely easy to fly and operate. The video quality of 1080 is outstanding and the flight time of 25 minutes with a single charge is one of the best things about this model.
