Customers often highlight the Bebop Drone's camera quality, ease of flying, and stability as its main advantages. Many users appreciate its affordability and beginner-friendly design. However, the drone's battery life and occasional control issues are common complaints.

Great Beginner Video Quadcopter

The Bebop is a great aerial video quadcopter for its price point. It has excellent image stabilization and the image quality is far better than less expensive quadcopters that offer video capabilities. The video quality is not as great as a CGO2 (which you will find with the Yuneec or Blade 350QX3), or using a Hero 4 on a good gimbal. However, those devices are significantly more. This Bebop device also can be used indoors (and I highly recommend using the bumpers that come with it for indoors). An Android or iPhone (or their tablets) work as the controller and you get first person review. I would have given this device higher marks but for the smartphone controls. The controls are nice but I have experienced on quite a few occasions losing signal between my mobile device and Bebop. So you need to keep the device within a decent range.

I purchased this for my kids (teenagers) and they have had a great time with it. There is a small learning curve with it but that is short lived. I have flown the big brother to this, the AR Drone also. The best part about this is that is has smaller or tighter limits on how high it can fly and how far out so you don’t lose sight of it and get out of hand and then have to get it repaired or have to order parts. It is also extremely durable as it has hit a few trees already. They have improved the motor cut out so that if it does (and it will) come into contact with small limbs and or leaves it will not just shut down and fall out of the air. A Great entry level drone!

Ready to fly out of the box but documentation is almost non-existent - downloaded the Free Flight 3 app and found all the required directions - steep learning curve but the drone can handle a crash or two

This is a great drone for a first generation product! There are some kinks that still need to be workedout. For example every now and then it has a tendency to drift off even when no buttons are being pressed and there was no movement or change in direction of the phone. Also, one of the batteries has already stopped working and I couldn't have charged it more than 5 times. When I reached out to parrot about the issues they agreed to fix it. But first I have to pay to get the battery shipped to them and then they will send me a replacement. If you are considering making this purchase for a kid or for adult hobbies, I would recommend it, but if you looking to make the purchase to use for a business such as wedding videography to get aerial shots of the venue, I would recommend waiting for an updated model or going for a higher end drone.

This is a wonderful product and does exactly as it states on the box. Excellent picture quality and easy to fly right from the start. Directions are clear and easy to follow.
One thing I would like to see is the availability of the extras listed on the box.

Powerful Little Machine

Don´t be fooled by its tiny size, this little machine is a powerful, stable, amazing drone. I have had it for about two weeks and I have enjoyed every second of it, I got the one that comes with the skycontroller and it flies sooo easy, I also have the DJI Inspire 1, and I even think that Parrot´s Bebop is more stable indoors, although is very stable outdoors too, I have even flown it in strong winds and it handles amazingly well, honestly, I´m surprissed and very happy with it. I highly recommend it.

No matter if are a new drone pilot or an experienced quad copter pilot the Bebop is a great addition and a thrill to fly. It's not as fast as some out there and the promised flightControler is still missing but it's just plain fun. I ran into another drone pilot in the park and he was amazed by how slick and easy it was to use.

I really love this drone, it's fun, fast, and capable. There are some software glitches and sometimes I momentarily lose control but these can be improved in time. Overall I really recommend this for people that want a capable quality drone to play with.

This is the second Bobop drone I have lost! I have the sky controller so it's hard for me to justify not having a drone to go with it. However, this is really becoming an expensive hobby! I lost the first one because I accidentally hit the emergency land bottom. It dropped like a brick straight into the canal behind my house. I live on North Padre Island. In my opinion the emergency land button should be designed so it takes more than one simple tap to activate it. My second drone was doing fine until I hit the return home button. It looked like it was beginning to return but suddenly dropped from the sky about 100 yards from me. I've searched high and low with the help of neighbors for it but have not been able to find it. It would be nice if there were some way of homing in on its location. Other than those issues it seems to be a pretty good means of aerial photography/videography. I'd recommend practice and getting used to it in a large open area with no or few obstacles first. Also, I think it's a good idea to put your contact info on it.

Only after purchasing the Bebop and trying it at home did I find out that the problem I ran into has been experienced by LOTS of other people. I was on a simple maiden voyage in the house to watch it hover in place for about 15 seconds. When I told it to land, it suddenly shot up to the ceiling and came crashing down. It turns out that a lot of people have seen a sudden, unexplainable vertical launch of the drone. There are even settings in the drone that tell it how fast to rise, and it doesn't obey those settings when it rockets upwards. Luckily for me, I was indoors. Other people have lost their drone altogether when they experienced this phenomenon in the great outdoors. In my case, I just picked up the pieces after it crashed down onto the floor, reattached the now-bent propellers, and returned the entire thing to Best Buy, explaining what happened.
This wasn't a case of user error. I watched all of the YouTube videos, I read the instructions, and I was cautious in what I was doing. I literally just told it to start, waited 15 seconds, and told it to land. That's it. I certainly didn't tell it "accelerate up 10', hit the ceiling, and crash onto the floor". :)

Really Cool Toy

I bought this toy to experiment with flying and recording a video while we went site seeing at Yosemite. When I assembled the drone, it was pretty easy and straight forward. However, installing the app on my Nexus 5 Android device was not. I had trouble installing and configuring the device. The app itself is glitch y , it does not auto resize the flying menu due to a smaller screen. I installed the app on my Tablet Ipad 2 and it was working fine.
Now the drone part, the drone has trouble hoovering around the air if there is even a slight breeze, it constantly tries to self adjust which is fine but I don't think the motor is powerful enough to compensate for the breeze. It's fairly awesome product for first generation, it needs a lot of work to be done on the motor application and app itself.
The worst part about this toy would be the app. It is not very smooth and during flight, you'lll constantly need to be paying attention as what you'll be commanding the drone is not the behavior the drone is executing.

Once you get the sky controller it's too easy to fly. The range is not believable and it is very user friendly. It's a lot of fun to fly and the camera is great.

Pretty good video quality but the photo quality isn't quite as good. Comes with extra blades and an additional battery pack. Like that the battery pack plugs directly into the wall instead of a long messy cord. Body is made of Styrofoam and the battery is just strapped in by Velcro (understandably to decrease weight) but still makes me feel a bit uneasy about the battery coming loose and/or body damage to the drone on a hard landing/crash.

Parrot was a good drone. It flew really high up anencephaly it lasted only 11minutes. But why I returned it was because the batteries would lose their charge.

To start with this is my first drone. It is tons of fun, however there is a steep learning curve. You should not just take it home, open the box and start flying without doing any reading. These must be operated properly. Otherwise you may crash and burn. Or worse yet lose your drone.

I had to buy 5 Bebops to get 1 that was working. The issues from the 4 I have returned were recognized by Parrot. The issues were mainly erratic flying (crashing against the ceiling). I was very very pleased that I bought them at Best Buy!! They took the faulty Bebops back until I had a good one. Thank you BestBuy.
The one I have now needs more updates from Parrot before it will fly so as it should. Aside from that: it is a great product.
