Only makes 90 degree turns. My 10 year old son lot interest in 10 min.

I love this ninja sumo toy but after about 15 min of actual playing Time it was already broken.

While this item was fun for the kids, the battery life was horrible. That pretty much killed the deal for me and the kids!

Loads of fun when it connects! The one problem it has is staying connected. I have numerous iOS and android devices and the sumo has a hard time staying connected. I thought it was something I was doing, so I called parrot and complained about connectivity- they told me to take it back and exchange the sumo. 2nd sumo does the same thing. BUMMER! Ive tried Note 3, IPad Air, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, lg G3, 8" samsung tab, 7" nexus tab and no luck. Firmware updates every time. Wait until the bugs are fixed!

Sons used christmas money to get this. Broke within 20 minutes of playing with it. Went back exchanged it for another. It too broke after only 10 minutes of playing.

On my second one and they have both broke after a few jumps, did some more research and it is a common problem. DO NOT BUY!!!! Not worth the $119.99 it costs.

I bought 3 of these and none of them jump and they are all less than 1 year old. The do operate well, response time is decent.

I get my dogs to chase it around and im able to watch them live via the feed awesome product

My kids love this jumping Sumo.. I bought two different kinds and they have a blast.

I get what Parrot is trying to accomplish with this jumping drone. But the craftsmanship is horrendously bad. Stay away

I wanted to like this little guy, but could never get used to controlling it with my phone.

I’ve had my Jumping Sumo for about 2 weeks now and it’s been a lot of fun. I was up and running in minutes on my iPhone 5s running IOS 8.02. I’ve sent it out on “missions” to see what the dog is barking at, is my son still playing Xbox late at night and just to harass the rest of my family. The controls are pretty straight forward and with the adjustments in the app it will allow you to fine tune it to your liking. The average battery life for me has been about 15 – 20 minutes. I felt the amount of time you got on each charge was acceptable and once the new chargers come out you can always purchase another battery to get twice the time. I run mine on a combination of wood floors and low carpet. I did notice it doesn’t move to well on thick carpet. The biggest issue I have been having is with disconnects. Although it’s frustrating I am sure it will be something easily fixed with an update to either the app or firmware to the Sumo. I am able to get it to reconnect after a hard reset but that can get annoying. In general I think the Sumo is a lot of fun and I am sure the connectivity issue will be fixed pretty quickly. Once the SDK is released I am looking forward to see what other developers do with it.

I was really excited to be one of the first people to purchase the Parrot Drone and quite honestly the presentation is top notch. Flying the drone with the protected wheels on is super easy and user-friendly but understanding the advanced functions was a bit challenging even for a seasoned tech guy like myself. The drone ones to reach a certain height when you first turn it on and that was not a problem until I took the wheels off and it hit my ceiling. After falling to the ground it broke but I was able to repair it quite easily. Controlling this from my iPhone was easy but understanding the range was impossible. When it goes out of range it simply flies away from you. I had one day of fun with it before I lost it on the roof of an apartment building nearby. It would be awesome if it knew to come back to you or even hotter if going out of range. I would say it was about 30 feet out. Other than that I think it is very stable and durable. I just wish I could get mine back :/ I recommend keeping the wheels on no matter what for your first 10 flights at least.

1.Connectivity can be an issue, we had problems with the WIFI working consistently. 2. The jumping feature stopped working after a few hours of unboxing. 3. We've retuned it for an exchange and hope for better results but we aren't holding our breath. I think to love will wear off quickly. All in all, this is a really amazing feat of technology but so was a yo-yo!

The overall performance of this drone was satisfying. Camera works well enough for navigation. Quater turns are difficult with user interface on an iPad. Sumo jumps over obstical including a steps. Battery life seemed short so unit should be operated with fully charged batteries. The excitement wares off after a while. On to bigger and better... I need wings.

We bought this for my son for Christmas 2014, I worked great for a about an hour. Then he tried to make it jump, and it wouldn't. We tried all the things their website listed to make the jumping work, it still would not. We took it back and got another....same thing! Quit jumping soon after he used it. So many forums said the jumping just quits working. I'd beware if buying this, which is sad cause it is such a neat idea!

I've been having fun with my new drone. It seems to attract friends that want to try it. I only wish it had more functionality. It's fun for now and I'll check for new ones to come out. Thanks Parrot!
